And the fact that she doesn't have any way of approaching that doesn't take up a Demon Skill Bar or 2 Bars, but even then one starts a red combo. She's bottom 3 Demon, but she does well in specific MUs.

@@devilix123987 That wasn’t makomo’s problem anyways (though she does have on average damage). It was that her combos dropped for no reason online. They were very inconsistent in an online environment. Many makomo tournament players have lost entire sets due to a makomo drop happening for no reason. I can’t tell you how many times a makomo dropped a combo on me and I got a full punish when it wasn’t even their fault. So they were right about her being bad as well. Just didn’t have the right reasons.
The only real issue I feel about Daki is her average damage output when fighting other demons her damage looks decent enough but if they start healing or just against higher health characters in general she'll need to land quite a few solid strings to get the kill. That said she's looking quite versatile in those demon matchups. I love seeing airbourne opponent get crush by her "fly swatter". To me I think she fits in a a similar place as Rui on a tier list and can be better or worse based on the matchup.
She's very MU dependent. I don't think Arouf played her MU well, since Enmu should win the MU pretty easily but they made no attempt to adapt to the spamming of "the fly swatter". I'd say she's lower than Rui but higher than Awakened Nezuko & Yushiro.

It's just weird to see that nobody wants to use her second demon skill because the OB/ covers so much area, but the second demon skill which a lot of people weren't looking into actually starts a blue combo. She's one of the only demons that can start a blue combo without the Perry mechanic and a lot of people aren't realizing that she can get a crap ton of damage off of that, especially when she's boosted or surged for sure when she surged
I was surprised he wasn’t using that skill either. Especially with a zoner, it also does a ton of block damage if blocked. So even if they block it with a neutral skill and a dash it’ll be broken.

I pretty much main Daki now and before watching the video I gotta say she needs two things Level 2 dash (to confirm that neutral demon skill easier ) more active frames on first square combo hit
I've seen a lot of serious discussion from tournament players in the U.S., it's less about her damage and more of the fact that she gets camped out so easily. Enmu at-least has projectiles with some even tracking, a decently fast Neutral Demon Skill that's unblockable, a scary as hell grab, and some of the best buttons in the game. Daki has nothing to approach with outside of an armored Demon Skill (that is fast, don't get me wrong) and a red combo starting, unreliable Tilt Skill that costs 2 bars to be safe. Daki bottom 3 Demon from what most players describe, but she's not anywhere near Yushiro or Awakened Nezuko levels of bad since her guard pressure is *too* unreal. She's just better normal Inosuke.
After watching this both live and here again, I still don't think Daki is better than we initially stated. I did mention that her playstyle was going to reward much more patient players, but compared to the rest of the roster she's still lacking in areas that would otherwise make her a better character. With the increased demon healing, that makes her patient play even better. Ultimately, it comes down to a player vs player scenario, which isn't specifically saying "Daki is OD". It's saying the player is strong and understands how to use her to win. I'd still prefer speed or range enhancements to her kit, personally.
I was just waiting for this video to come out 🤷♂️ I’ve seen too many susamaru situations in fighting games to think that a dlc character is low tier. This only goes to show that first impressions aren’t valid in conversation.
As soon as I practiced with her I knew she would be a problem because of guard damage and reset capability’s. She is good for sure but doesn’t really have a way against range demons but that’s just a minor problem to deal with.she is definitely A tier or maybe even S tier for me.( by the way this was before watching the vid)
Did you not just watch the vid? She can handle range characters. If on the floor they can get hit by tilt demon skill, if in the air, demon skill hits well. Also tilt skill is a great quick approach tool. She has the tools, now you just need to use your skills to make them work, she won't do a 60% combo.

I feel they missed out on a massive opportunity with gyutaro and daki combo. Like they would be like yushiro with switch tech Id either give them bars like demon slayers Or have it sepecial where he can spend a demon bar or call an assist. Amd there surge would be tht eye thing for daki And when gyutaro saves daki its like a counter attack knocking down the opponent and applying a poison. How about making it not able to kill if countered for balancing

Mediocre character imo, Arouf simply didn't look prepared against Daki as he was forgetting plus frames certain moves have. Also Susamaru isn't a perfect matchup imo as she can't use piercing kick too much. Characters like Water Tanjiro that deal lot's of damage and take little usually work well because every punish in his favour is worth 2 punishes from Daki + switch tech

I feel like the reason why ppl called daki trash in the beginning is because y'all already didn't like her in the show so when she came out in the game y'all were already expecting her to be bad and when ppl played as her they didn't practice with her well enough so y'all automatically tired to push her aside as a trash character. Basically y'all didn't know how to play as her and tried to ride the hate train until you couldn't anymore.
I don't play this game because I hate all the zoning demons so much. Zoners usually are annoying but they feel a lot worse in this game specifically for some reason. Susamaru especially just sucks out all the fun in the game for me.
People really be saying “the community doesn’t know what their talking about, they don’t know if a character is bad day one and they actually are OP”. Like yes that happened a few times but who was wrong about Yushiro being bad? Yahaba? Akaza on release? They were all bad on release and two of them in particular is still bad. Only enmu, murata, and zenitsu in my experience was the characters being downplayed.
Not gonna lie, Yahaba is pretty downplayed. I'd say he's better than Daki but that's only very slightly. When you fight Yahaba you don't play Hinokami Keppuutan, you are now playing Yahaba's game. It's not a bad gameplan too, since he gains bar crazy fast and deals pretty good damage in base. Meanwhile when fighting Daki you can exploit every quirk of the engine against her, so you are *very much* playing Hinokami Keppuutan at that point.
@@blackmailed1072 Yahaba outright gets countered by demon slayers because of their ability to call assist in neutral. Not to mention inosuke being the first armored assist, meaning he can outright be a counterpick to yahaba now. Yahaba only stands a chance against other demons and struggles heavily with slayers
@@terrakage4462 While I do think Yahaba struggles to with assists tremendously, it's not as if he's completely nullified by the existence of assists. You could say the same about Enmu with his slow air-dash, Lvl 1 Dash Speed, and really awful landing lag when using all of his aerial attacks, not to mention his relatively linear starting buttons. Yahaba just needs to play more careful when your assist gauge is up and not commit to a full meter dump. I do agree that ED Inosuke kind of screws up Yahaba hardcore and honestly that made me put Yahaba a LOT lower than I thought he was prior to ED Inosuke, but Yahaba can play around assists rather effectively if you know how to use the character. Yahaba is really hard to pin-point, because either you've experienced one end of the extreme (the Yahaba cannot touch you whatsoever) or the other (the Yahaba completely outplays you with no way of playing the game). We truthfully just need more Yahaba's to represent him to better understand where his strength truly resides. Currently I place him with insight into his *potential* and I think his potential outshines Daki barely.
@@blackmailed1072 i just don’t think he’s viable. Like yeah he can burst you to bits and play strong keep away. His arrows not doing any damage on its own is already a little bit of an issue for his scaling without meter, characters with level three dash speed gets in faster than he can zone, I’ve seen yahabas do great. In fact I hate fighting them with a passion because I think his kit, while cool as a concept is just very bad design for a character overall.
I think Daki is ok but still not great. I understand people are getting all happy now but just because there is time in a character and a few people do good doesn’t make the character good. Daki still has bad damage, horrible range besides one attack that is definition of hit or miss and her attacks all feel like combo finishers. It feels like if you do a combo it one does no damage and 2 is hard to start one since she’s basically a walking combo finisher. I would put her at High C Tier or low B tier hot take I know but at least for me Daki doesn’t respond to me well. Although I believe she is stronger than Yushiro.
@@jaioncebollero1168 She has a lot of weaknesses and a lot of strengths. But everybody seems to focus on one or the other, characters can have both. She's nothing special because these weaknesses are pretty damaging for this particular game but her strengths are also really good for this game. She has nothing to really push her over the edge compared to other Demons outside of ridiculous guard pressure so she's just okay. In-fact she has a lot of weaknesses that Demons *don't* want because of their lack of assists and she doesn't have the tools effective to counterbalance these horrible weaknesses (inability to approach, inability to force opponent to approach, lack of solid neutral tools that don't rely on Demon Meters or 2 bars of Meter, et cetera). I will admit I'm not good at her, because I don't try to play her since I find her super clunky because of her slow speed. I'm looking at everyone else's opinions in the NA scene and also generally doing some Training with two controllers as a way to gauge how good she really is.

Akaza, Yushiro, and Yahaba definitely earned the “worst” titles. The community was only wrong about Daki and maybe nezuko in terms of dlc.

Characters like Water Tanjiro that deal lot's of damage and take little usually work well because every punish in his favour is worth 2 punishes from Daki + switch tech

I feel like the reason why ppl called daki trash in the beginning is because y'all already didn't like her in the show so when she came out in the game y'all were already expecting her to be bad and when ppl played as her they didn't practice with her well enough so y'all automatically tired to push her aside as a trash character. Basically y'all didn't know how to play as her and tried to ride the hate train until you couldn't anymore.

I don't play this game because I hate all the zoning demons so much. Zoners usually are annoying but they feel a lot worse in this game specifically for some reason. Susamaru especially just sucks out all the fun in the game for me.

People really be saying “the community doesn’t know what their talking about, they don’t know if a character is bad day one and they actually are OP”.
Like yes that happened a few times but who was wrong about Yushiro being bad? Yahaba? Akaza on release? They were all bad on release and two of them in particular is still bad.
Only enmu, murata, and zenitsu in my experience was the characters being downplayed.
Not gonna lie, Yahaba is pretty downplayed. I'd say he's better than Daki but that's only very slightly. When you fight Yahaba you don't play Hinokami Keppuutan, you are now playing Yahaba's game. It's not a bad gameplan too, since he gains bar crazy fast and deals pretty good damage in base. Meanwhile when fighting Daki you can exploit every quirk of the engine against her, so you are *very much* playing Hinokami Keppuutan at that point.
@@blackmailed1072 Yahaba outright gets countered by demon slayers because of their ability to call assist in neutral. Not to mention inosuke being the first armored assist, meaning he can outright be a counterpick to yahaba now.
Yahaba only stands a chance against other demons and struggles heavily with slayers
@@terrakage4462 While I do think Yahaba struggles to with assists tremendously, it's not as if he's completely nullified by the existence of assists. You could say the same about Enmu with his slow air-dash, Lvl 1 Dash Speed, and really awful landing lag when using all of his aerial attacks, not to mention his relatively linear starting buttons. Yahaba just needs to play more careful when your assist gauge is up and not commit to a full meter dump.
I do agree that ED Inosuke kind of screws up Yahaba hardcore and honestly that made me put Yahaba a LOT lower than I thought he was prior to ED Inosuke, but Yahaba can play around assists rather effectively if you know how to use the character.
Yahaba is really hard to pin-point, because either you've experienced one end of the extreme (the Yahaba cannot touch you whatsoever) or the other (the Yahaba completely outplays you with no way of playing the game). We truthfully just need more Yahaba's to represent him to better understand where his strength truly resides. Currently I place him with insight into his *potential* and I think his potential outshines Daki barely.
@@blackmailed1072 i just don’t think he’s viable. Like yeah he can burst you to bits and play strong keep away. His arrows not doing any damage on its own is already a little bit of an issue for his scaling without meter, characters with level three dash speed gets in faster than he can zone, I’ve seen yahabas do great. In fact I hate fighting them with a passion because I think his kit, while cool as a concept is just very bad design for a character overall.

I think Daki is ok but still not great. I understand people are getting all happy now but just because there is time in a character and a few people do good doesn’t make the character good. Daki still has bad damage, horrible range besides one attack that is definition of hit or miss and her attacks all feel like combo finishers. It feels like if you do a combo it one does no damage and 2 is hard to start one since she’s basically a walking combo finisher.
I would put her at High C Tier or low B tier hot take I know but at least for me Daki doesn’t respond to me well. Although I believe she is stronger than Yushiro.

@@jaioncebollero1168 She has a lot of weaknesses and a lot of strengths. But everybody seems to focus on one or the other, characters can have both. She's nothing special because these weaknesses are pretty damaging for this particular game but her strengths are also really good for this game. She has nothing to really push her over the edge compared to other Demons outside of ridiculous guard pressure so she's just okay. In-fact she has a lot of weaknesses that Demons *don't* want because of their lack of assists and she doesn't have the tools effective to counterbalance these horrible weaknesses (inability to approach, inability to force opponent to approach, lack of solid neutral tools that don't rely on Demon Meters or 2 bars of Meter, et cetera).
I will admit I'm not good at her, because I don't try to play her since I find her super clunky because of her slow speed. I'm looking at everyone else's opinions in the NA scene and also generally doing some Training with two controllers as a way to gauge how good she really is.
