Yorichii and Kokushibo is still brothers, Kokushibo/Michikatsu managed to join an American best detective agency to surpass his brother but Yorichii still solves harder cases better than him, thus making him pissed and accept Muzan offer to be his lackey just to get more resources for his investigations.

Imagine if the first episode of the anime where tanjiro was sick to go get charcoal and Nezuko had to go get some and when she came back tanjiro was a demon and then Nezuko became the demon slayer that would be the biggest plot twist in the anime
