  • BrickLink Sales Recap - August 2023 | BRINGING TRANSPARENCY BACK!
We're happy to be able to bring back the monthly sales recap videos for all of you to better understand the sale a store our size can do. This was by far the best August we have ever had and we're super happy to show these numbers for what is generally the worst month of the year!

Thanks for the video. I'd love to see additional charts showing how part counts change over time, and how many hours of labor were spent in the month. In addition, a significant expense that I would like to see, is the COGS, and/or cost of parts added/listed.

I appreciate these kind of videos BUT it doesn't really help to know if it is profitable. I would like to know how much of that 10k is actually a profit for (your) pockets (even a average number would be nice). You can make a 10k revenue but maybe you spend 10k in the parts. So your profit would be 0.

Thanks for sharing! Gives some good base on what to expect, and even recognize some trending.
For me August was the best month I've ever had, while September is on track to be one of the worst months in two years time.

You glossed over it in the end and show (percentage-based - pie chart) what your total expenses were for labour, COGS, packaging - that would be great! We have a sets and minifigs store, preparing to move into parts. So it woukd be curious to see what to expect (EU based).

What kind of shipping label paper do you use and what kind of thermal printer do you use? I really like the channel and am thankful that it can answer some of my questions about starting a Bricklink store and what items or products that you use.

Great video! Do you track new vs used monthly sales?
Probably not for this series of videos but would be interested in a video of how many lbs of lego you are looking to source in a month to continue growing and want your average turn around time is from source to store.

Can you show, most sold piece of the month. Just for fun, if there is not too much to work for that. Nice to see you back to basics.

That could be interesting! We will look into that to see if it's easy to get! Thanks for the suggestion!

Interesting! August was the same for me with unusually high sales. September isn't looking nearly as good so far with a prediction of only 1/2 of August' sales.

Is it worth adding used parts to my store? Or just sell them in bulk by the pound elsewhere like fb marketplace?

Is your sales number your gross or profit?
