I commenced my apprenticeship 40yrs ago at Pymble Prestige, then moving to Ron Hodgson at Parramatta both his original workshop and his last on the Great Western Hwy. I finished from the trade at New Rowley Motors to pursue another career. Seeing these beautiful cars bought back lots of great memories. Thank you.
Another great video Brett, I’m still to purchase a Jaguar…. I definitely will. Adding to my collection of classic Minis and Land Rovers. Thank you once again for your video series. 😊
Another great video Brett glad you had no problems with the V12 Sovereign good show I enjoy you talking to the owners of the cars you looked at till the next one friend take care best wishes Andy Allen
Great to see Delta out and about, and proudly on display with all those other immaculate beauties. For me, she holds her own against any of them, even the old XK120s, Mark IXs, E-Types etc.
Hi Brett; Denis Shanahan here. President of the Jaguar Drivers Club Hunter Region. Love your video, I am getting the name of that color of the Daimler Series 1 double six for you.
@@tjmthejagmandownunder I did some more research, and I have to admit Denis is right, and the colour code is in fact Coral Metallic. I am a bit disappointed that the otherwise highly trustworthy Gazette magazine seems to have missed the mark here.
Good video. Great car show and beauty Daimler 420 at 9:05 and 16:20. I have a '67 Jag 420. Previous owner had her since around 1970 so she's still gorgeous.
This little video was a revelation. My personal perfect day would be a Jaguar club show that is a 5 minute walk from an American (and Aussie) muscle car show. I like the brutal muscle machines and their lack of finesse AND I like the the 180° opposite of beautiful machines that define finesse as well. Will never happen but one can dream.
Great post bret, brilliant seeing all the excellent jags at the show and really pleased you're car went we no problems at all, I really like that car it's gorgeous
Good afternoon Bret, Many thanks your kind words re my Series 1 Daimler VDP Double Six. The car is Coral, as delivered, however, I have had a full respay by Tony's Bodyworks at Heatherbrae in two pack, fully matched using Jaguar's colour chart specifications. I also had the vinyl roof removed as it had some surface rust underneath: maybe to be replaced? I am currently restoring an '88 XJ-S V12 Convertible, so very interested in your video's on the "Vine" car you rescued. Mine is in good condition, but I have the IRS out at the moment, initially changing out the brakes and rotors, but ended up replacing all the bearings etc. Great channel, well done, and thank you for your time and effort to provide advice to the Jaguar family. Cheers Chris
Hi Chris Thank for the kind comments. I have seen a few Corals in my years and they seemed to differ a bit so I wasn't too sure. My favourite car there on the day 👍
Love the video seeing all of the jags I'm not into the new ones at all they don't look like jaguars to me I love the older ones I'm looking for another jaguar vanden plas probably a 02 the Las year of the design like I got I have a jaguar vanden plas 99 model also called the x308.. I was talking to my cousin and she just told me that her cousin on her mom's side of the family has a jaguar mark 10 a 61 model she thinks 🤔 it's been sitting in a barn for about 30 years I hope she sells it I'd like to have it but I know sitting in the barn it would need more work than I can afford to fix I'd say everything is bad on it. She was too sure on the year till she talked to her cousin but she thinks it is a 61. So we'll see..

Thanks Denis! Great day, nice to catch up!
I believe the colour name is ‘caramel’, as featured in this month’s edition of the Gazette, the JDCH club in the Netherlands magazine.
The colour is definitely CORAL, I confirmed it with the owner.
@@noud6887 now it getting confusing

Is that gold pinstripe new?
Yes but I hated it so took it off. Too chrome!
