Most students from papua new genie prefer schooling in Fiji is because of how safe it is and the quality of education. If you wanting to stay in a hotel is Suva, Grand Pacific Hotels is your best bet, but the food there isn’t that good. Only the hotels in nadi and the mamanuca islands has the best bargain in terms of food and beaches. That area is the Bali of Fiji.Joji’s Restaurants is an renowned Asian food restaurant. Nadi is on the leeward side of the main island (Viti Levu) and Suva on the windward, so there's a difference in the landscape. It takes close to 4 hours by road to reach Suva from Nadi with some stops on the way. If you do plan to visit Suva, I'd suggest take a road trip as you would get a chance to see the changing land, sea, and culturescapes. On the way, a brief stopover in Sigatoka would be good, particularly at Outrigger Resort which is on the road side and quite elevated to get a good glimpse of the beautiful coral coast. The next town is Navua and the white water rafting on the upper Navua river is well rated. September normally has good weather so hope for a sunny day. A rainy day won't help. You can take a flight back to Nadi from Suva or drive back.
@@toddavis8151 I'm assuming you might be driving through Nadi to go to your resort. Just a drive through would give you an idea of the place. Some people visit Denarau which would be 20-30 mins from Nadi. It's made for tourists.
@@toddavis8151 Ok. You'll be passing through the Nadi town then. Do ask your driver to take you guys through the town and not the back road otherwise you'll miss it. The town road could be busy but it's never as busy as in metropolitans. You might not even feel the traffic. If you have time you can take a trip to Sleeping Giant Zipline. Just google and check if it interests you. It's on the other side from the airport hardly 20-25 mins drive and 45 mins from Double tree. if interested, you can ask your resort to organise a day tour and take you to Denarau in the same trip.
Would have loved to and it's on my list. It's just that I can't do it straightaway as currently occupied with other projects. This may have to wait till May. I'm sorry. I couldn't be of help.

Great to see a glimpse of the Suva city. Will be visiting in April. Wondering if it's easy to park around the city center? It is best to park at a shopping mall then go around?
At 11:05 I see a Buick car. Never saw that when I lived there from 2014-17. My only guess is there is a ton of Chinese that are buying up property in Suva and the ones with money like Buicks in China. So it looks like they started to import some to Fiji. I know none of the locals would ever buy that brand. The Fiji Government has incurred allot of debt from the Chinese government. Mainly after Bani took over he pissed off Australia/New zealand and they cut aid. That was a bad mistake because it opened the door for China to move in. And IMO, that will not be good for Fiji in the long term.
@@wy206 No just that I used to live in the Fiji Islands. Owned a house in lautoka. And its a fact that the chinese are moving into Fiji in droves. I've been going to that island since 1993. And many of the businesses are chinese owned now. They are buying up many hotels, houses etc.. This is especially true in Suva. I'm not delusional fella. Its just a fact. And the Chinese really do like the buick brand. ALLOT. Its the only reason GM did not kill off that line. FACT. A small research will verify this. Also the Fijian government has borrowed allot of money from China. After the last coup new Zealand and Australia broke many financial ties. So Bani started to work out deals with the Chinese. I know allot more about that economy then you probably want to admit to. Oh and I never said it was a problem did I? I do still feel it was a mistake that Australia and New Zealand turned their backs on Fiji. Because the long term interest for Fiji could be problematic dealing with a communist state.
@@wy206 Do you live in Fiji? Are you a Fijian? Asian Indian? Or maybe a Chinese immigrate? Just curious. Also, I'll admit you have some solid points. Not wishing to argue here. And the pandemic has crushed the economy. I have allot of families there. I know. I'm sending allot of money grams these days just to keep them going. Also wondering how so many Chinese people are getting PR visas in Fiji SO easily. I have means and I have to leave country every three months and return and do that for YEARS to apply for citizenship. I know they have relaxed those immigration rules hugely for the Chinese immigrates. Fiji is a sovereign country and should remain so IMO. I don't want any country dictatating their domestic policy. Hiplain1.that is so true. I'm indigenous Fijian living in Australia. Fijian a so easy to fall in a trap like in the old days, make them drunk and offer something small and you can take big things out of it. Now, we can see how bad is Fiji. Employment only pays $3 to $4 an hour and the price of the food is so much higher than what they got. I talked to my family every week and they said life is getting harder. If we take a very good look at Bainimara, wherever he goes in the world he just like wearing a Fijian label or stature or even a car that someone has been using a remote control behind him. The reason why he can't talk much because he is one of the dumbest leaders in the world I've ever seen. Suva is the capital city with some historical monuments, a museum, park, seafront, etc. There's a river safari some 45 minutes away from Suva in Navua. The Western side of the island, mainly Sigatoka (Coral Coast) and Nadi have been developed as tourist destinations. You'll find a number of activities on that side. Then there are island tours and cruise boats leave from Nadi.

@@edwinbab705 Yes 6 days are good enough. There are daily buses from Nadi to Suva like Pacific buses, Sunbeam. It varies by location, proximity to city, etc.
What is best places to see do I need go out city or no and can I use bus
Suva is the capital city with some historical monuments, a museum, park, seafront, etc. There's a river safari some 45 minutes away from Suva in Navua. The Western side of the island, mainly Sigatoka (Coral Coast) and Nadi have been developed as tourist destinations. You'll find a number of activities on that side. Then there are island tours and cruise boats leave from Nadi.

@@edwinbab705 Yes 6 days are good enough. There are daily buses from Nadi to Suva like Pacific buses, Sunbeam. Being a local I never got to use the tours but I can say there are some and you can check about them at the arrivals in Nadi as soon as you come out of the customs. You can also check a number of day activities like Talanoa Treks if you're interested in trekking. Sleeping Giant Zip line, Day cruise to Beachcomber for snorkeling, walk to sand dunes in Sigatoka (it's a 4km walk - time wise it will be bit longer due to walking on the sand). You won't need prior booking for this one. The information is available on internet. national-parks.org/fiji/sigatoka-sand-dunes
