Amazing how the culture survived even after hundreds of years so far from the Land and without any connection to the homeland. No wonder our culture survived for thousands of years.
ITS A PACIFC LANGUAGE CALLED "FIJI BAAT". IT WAS ESTABLISHED DURING THE SLAVE ERA WHERE OUR ANCESTORS COMBINED THIER LANGUAGES TO MAKE NEW ONES IN ORDER TO COMMUNICATE ON FIJI'S PLANTATIONS.
Hi I'm from the Fiji Islands. No Brother very few Indians are mixed up with the Native Fijian's here . Hardly any Fiji Indian women but Yes some Fiji Indian men did married the locals. One other thing not all Fiji people drink kava . Very few Indian Women drink Kava and Indian girls none. By the way Most Fiji Indian's can be found in Ba Area where I'm from . It's not a Tourist place but full of Agriculture. Here you will feel that you are in India. Please visit Ba which is just North of Nadi .
One fun fact . Most Fiji Indian's did know many things about India than the Natives of India themselves . I mean we knew how many types of languages , state , History , people , Islands , mountains and countless more about India since way back when there was no television or internet ( 70s till onwards) I had an Indian friend who was from Punjab during the time when there was no internet but he didn't know about Mizoram or Andaman Islands but in Fiji we already knew that . Fiji Indian's love to Read newspapers , Books , learn about every country around World . All much before Internet or Social Media . That's why Fiji Indian's know many things . They are Smart 😊
good, when comparing a country compare an apple with an apple, you trying to compare the largest democratic country with a population of 1.4 billion with just 936K Fiji people, cmon, since when Fiji Indians started knowing every single aspects about Indias history, states, province, districts, languages, dialects, etc . stop writing negative comments. Indians are also very smartest people in the world , and are migrating fast to Australia as well, especially doctors, engineers, ITs, accountants, you just name it, so you cant base your opinion by meeting 1 guy from Punjab with a population of 30 million people...do not boast about Fiji, because I was born there & have migrated in mid 80s
Binaca for showing us the Figian market areas. Locals ( both Figi Indians and Ethenic people).are very friendly and frank. Hope you are having a nice time over there. ...All good wishes...
Great to see how descendents of migrated ancestors have preserved their culture and still connected to their roots and simultaneously mingled and adopted native ones.
Hi I'm from the Fiji Islands and tell you what we love India more than many Indians of India. We wished we were Born in India and served in military and in other fields etc... Jai Hind Jai Bharat 🙏
THATS WHY WE ARE CALLED INDO-FIJIANS, I ALWAYS SAY IF YOU CAN UNDERSTAND CHINESE AND JAPANESE THAN YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND INDIA AND INDO-FIJIANS ARE EXTREMELY DIFFERENT
Thank you so much, brother for sharing this beautiful island culture. FIJI is our Home land where our heart is always. You have such a pleasant personality that you mingled with everyone and made them all so happy. Keep up with the good work.

We should have a salute to them who never left their culture and traditions even after 3 centuries .. but unfortunately nowadays Indians try to pretend to be more western than Indian ... हमके गर्व बा की हम भारतीय बानी औरी एक भोजपुरी भाषी हई। जय भारत ।
