Well honestly the whole problem was with BOTH of them. They were each traumatized by former familial issues and terrified of being with each other and all that meant. They both had to do serious growing before they could finally be together. What IS an issue is that dang amy sp wrote year in the life as if it was just occurring after show ended-she wrote her planned season 7-instead of AN ACTUAL CONTINUATION AS A YEAR IN THE LIFE!!! (Well sorry Amy YOU left and let writers destroy your show, our characters, and then you did so too-I’m sorry but when it comes to shows writers should really write with fans in mind) Luke and Lorelei should have been married already!! They were both ready for it by series end and had a kid together right after, another girl who would be 12/13. Would have been so much more fun and interesting to see them in that dynamic of funky family and three girls interacting 12/21/32 with their different personalities. And L&L as parents, together this time. Instead same scared shit of OG series which characters should have matured past!! Same with Rory-even Alexis said in an interview Rory should be with someone else completely matured beyond previous relationships. But Amy puts her in an affair with LOGAN???!!!?? Soooooooooo stupid. Still could have had those characters pop in without it being (a stupid and chemistry less) romance, like they did with Jess and dean!
@@CM-pf1xc yeh I agree, I was very disappointed with the fact they weren’t married with children in a year in the life. The whole thing just felt wrong. As for Rory, I hated all her boyfriends at the time. But I would have liked her to end up with Jess cos he got himself together in the end. Guess you just have to make your own ending. I think even if AMy had have stayed for end we still wouldn’t have got the right ending cos they wouldn’t have given her what she needed to do it right. It seemed like she was kind of muscled out. No way would I have left though ….
Fun fact: while filming the "that's what I love about you" scene Lauren accidentally says "that's why I love you" and Scott says "I love you too" And they joke about how they saved the audience a lot of time or something like that. Of course they reshot the scene the right way for the show but you can still find that clip online.
I love all the characters reacting to them being in love with each other! Suki and Emily knowing Lorelai's in love and then Kurt at the end looking so done with her Pining!! I love this show!
Obviously luke was crushing on loralie before she could even consider it and he adores and loves her through all her craziness but no one ever talks about how much she loves Luke because she never had some great relationship where the man she was with treated her like royalty and would do absolutely anything for her so this video makes me happy because she loves him so much ❤️🩹
You forgot to include the part where he showed up at her house to help her"fiNd tHe cHicK" and she grabbed him by the collar! I remember being so surprised and all the feels the first time I watched that. Super unexpected but great!
