Brilliant. He's more than a sales and marketing guy. He is a systems thinker and developer. He thinks standardization, optimization, building systems and designed for efficiency and high profit margins. Brilliant.

I wouldn't say clear communicator, feels like he talks too fast and talks as if we know all the jargon. Thankful for Sam who pulled it back a few times to explain stuff further

The unconventional thinking Alex has on how to drive value for customers while allowing for massive margin is truly incredible to hear in real-time. The info on the supplements side + how he turns that fitness challenge into a payment credit for a 1+ year gym committment, etc. Just amazing to see those subtle yet groundbreaking shifts in thinking on how we go about charging + delivering value.

Not gonna lie. At first, I thought this guy was a fraud. After doing some research and actually listening to the guy speak, I'm now convinced he is a literal genius. Not just in business.
I've been a big four management consultant myself. Alex Hormozi is SMARTER than most of the top tier consultants I've worked with.
The dead giveaway is his ability to simplify complex concepts in understandable language.

Been following Hormozi for about 4 months now and his legit, doesn’t spout anything crazy. Just common sense with some great insights in a succinct manner, very much like buffet and Munger, which is no surprise since he looks up to Munger.

Hands down this is the best video I've ever watched and I've watched and downloaded a ton of excellent videos. Alex is amazing and you guys are incredible interviewers. Asking all the right questions of what a layman/beginner would want to know. To Shaan's point it took me 3 hours to watch this video because I had to keep stopping and writing notes and analyzing what Alex was saying. Alex has squeezed a lifetime of knowledge and experience into 5 years, which is so mind boggling that it is difficult to wrap your head around, Huge fan of everything about this video. Alex and his wife share tons of value, for free. Some super valuable videos on TH-cam and his book is awesome... some subtle shade was thrown his way a few times during this and I like how he'd correct the nonsense and move on.
One of their best podcasts so far. This is worth multiple listens with a pen and paper to really think through his strategies.

I had trouble holding jobs. Not because I wasn’t capable but because I don’t like authorities and I don’t like the trickle down factor as far as the money. I felt like I was worth more and I have a different schedule because of my children and personal life, but companies don’t care about that so it would never work out. I started my own business 3 years ago and it worked for a while but ultimately failed. It wasn’t enough. So I went to school for a new trade and started another business. And I have been killing it so far. This company has been doing great!! I love what I do which makes it that much better, I can work with my weird schedule since I schedule the jobs. And there is no more trickle down with the money because I’m at the top. I knew I had the entrepreneur qualities just wasn’t sure what to do with them. I took some in bound sales closing courses and I’m happier than ever. I do epoxy flooring, but it consists of sales when I am looking at the job and have to sell the job, then it is the job itself which is hands on. A little bit of everything goes into this. So even when I’m home and have time to play a video game and feel as if I’m not working, really I am taking phone calls setting up new jobs to look at, price and sell. So I’m technically always working even though I have a lot of “down time”. If you have the same problems I described above maybe you are that person as well, maybe you should find something you love and can do. Open your own company and see how it works out. Stay safe all!!

Fan of your channel. I've helped grow a few companies to the 8 figure mark but personally my businesses have never made more than $750k a year. Even being ceo of a company I scaled 3000% to 8 figures, because I didn't found it, I don't think qualifies. But I'm working on my business now. Once I cross over the $1M mark would love to do an episode on the podcast.

Did I misinterpret what he was saying. Or was I right in thinking he was saying you need to be a natural at sales in order to do good at it?
I like the psychology breakdown of how Alex is jacked, and rich but never satisfied with himself. It's like a manic/anxiety thing where he thinks so lowly of himself and actually feels huge reward from validation which fuels his health and success. On the other end of the spectrum there are people that are perfectly fine with working at Taco Bell their whole life, their brain doesn't even consider anything else. I'm somewhere in the middle, just find it fascinating.
To many interruptions from Sam for this to be a solid interview. Don't get me wrong, Alex is amazing and the only reason I watched... But it was so painful listening to 2 hosts butcher this interview
