  • This is an introduction to our 1996 Ford OBS (Old Body Style) F350 crew cab long bed 4x4 truck. We have plans to semi-restore this truck, make it reliable, and put it to work. Unfortunately, we started the build before we started our channel, so we don't have too much early footage. Enjoy as we restore this truck and make it into our ultimate family work truck and overland vehicle.
    Planned Specs:
    Engine: Cummins 12V
    Trans: 2WD Getrag 360
    Transfer Case: Divorced Ford NP205
Front Axle: Ford Ball Joint Dana 60
Rear Axle: Sterling 10.25 (for now)
    More details to come!

I'm trying to get back to it. It keeps getting put on the backburner. I've pulled a 12V for it, so I hole to resume progress again soon! Thank you for watching!

Thank you for the kind words! I still have plans to do this build, but it has been placed on the back burner temporarily. I hope to get back to work on it soon!

The fit and finish on them is great! I think they are well worth the money.

I'm working on doing the same thing with my truck. When your doing the motor can you go over exactly how the new motor mounts are done and how much you have to alter to the firewall to fit the cummins. Just about every video I've seen is vague in that area.

I will do what I can! I am going to be using hydraulic motor mounts for the mounting of the power train.

Build my 7.3 motor or swap and build a Cummins? Looking for reliable 5-600hp. I’m trying to find the incentives for the swap

I am going to be biased and say Cummins, hands down. The robustness and simplicity of them makes it the ultimate light duty truck motor, in my eyes.

Life and stuff. I still have every intention to follow through with the build, some things have slowed the process though. Hang in there with me!
