i guess Im asking randomly but does someone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
Chris harris didnt like the ISF then goes on when reviewing the GSF as the ISF being a decent crack at the M3. some reviewers just need to open both eyes when reviewing cars.
Farah I think mentioned that cars like the ISF and contemporary Astons are unfavorable when compared to their contemporaries but in the case of the ISF it blew by them reliability wise and the Astons, longterm, out-charm them where you just don't care how it compares to, say, a 911 of the same vintage. You're definitely right though as time definitely shifts perspective because it allows you to think of the car in a vacuum and not in the same room as the others, which, possibly haven't aged as well.
@@Petrospect As cars get older we relate far more to how they make us feel emotionally and the driving experience itself. We care less and less about 0-60 times, which changes gear quicker, which is 0.2 seconds quicker around a track. The specs don't really mean anything when a G80 M3 would absolutely destroy all 3 in those metrics.
8 years after m3 dies by itself by eating bearings making the engine scrap, the c63 is now a rattle box, showing worst build quality than a 500.000 mile dacia and with never ending engine problems. Lexus just munching as if it was brand new, solid, unproblematic and still refined.
Epic, love all three of these guys. What people do not understand, is that BMW builds drivers. They are challenging and engaging to drive. The other two are great cars, but BMW has that racing engaged feel, in a comfortable daily car. They have been doing it the longest, and just have it down. Interesting to see how the new turbo will stack up
Thanks for posting 'em mate. I'm proud of the fact that I write for what used to be Driver's Republic (SkiddMark), but I absolutely love watching the original videos.
All these reviews are outdated because of the suspension changes(2011+) and LSD addition(2010) Lexus has made to the ISF. That however is Lexus' fault. They released this car for the first 2 years without an LSD, which makes no sense when you're trying to make a car for drivers.
Love all three of these cars. I think in this generation I like the looks and interior of the Lexus most and the engine of the C63 most but I'll bet the BMW is the most fun especially with that manual. Facelift C63 though just takes it up to another level with looks and interior for me.
Jethro Bovingdon, Dickie Meaden and Chris Harris. All three now doing automotive journalism with three big publications(Top Gear US, Evo and Top Gear UK respectively)
M3 best to drive and ties the Merc for good looks. Merc sounds the best Lexus most reliable. I'd be more than happy with either of them, but if i had to choose, M3 :).
I had a mk7 Audi A4 2.0 TFSI special edition Quattro full Audi service history was a super money pit including oil chain pump failure in total I lost 20k just for that alone. I now own a reliable swift Lexus GS 450h f sport and love knowing it’s not an Audi or German.
I''ll have the merc in silver please. Engine note (sounds like a hound from hell!), power (like being strapped to a rocket!) those seats (ooo, comfy and supportive.)
How could chris forget to mention the c55 amg and c32 amg. Both of those vehicles came before the c63 amg . Im not a Mercedes fan boy I just hate when auto journalists give false info.
BMW is Pure Track Car as a hobby and a second Car, pure and simpel.. Merc and Lexus for everyday Use for cruising and driving fast .. So for 95 % of the People BMW is no Option . And dont tell me you are driving on Track everyday , >> bullshit .
M3 is not s track car. Typical "car guy" car comment. I've owned 2 of them and they are one of my absolute favorite cars. But they are definitely not track cars. They are very capable performance luxury cars. And I love them for it. Track cars (GT4, Ariel Atom, Ultima GTR, Exige, etc.. are not practical or remotely comfortable daily drivers. I can take my family on a nice Sunday drive in the M3.. not in a track car.
Actually, the c63 is much slower on a track than the M3 because it suffers from poor handling. Watch the Top Gear review and 5th gear review- they come to the same conclusion. While you're watching those video also consider that the M3 sedan only weighs around 20 more lbs than the coupe.
Having now owned an m3 for over 2 months, not sure i agree. Felt more sp3cial for rhe first few drives because of the motorsport credentials but definitely missing the sense of drama the AMG would have . The looks are good, not great. Interior is very durable , always has one issue after another hahaha but overall its a fantastic car but i prefer more torque. The AMG is more fun but the M car then claws things back when you rev it to 8k without breaking the speed limit. The sound is nowhere near as special as the c63 even when revved up. The thing the M car wins hands down on is the transmission , and thats the only thing that sets it apart . Not when approaching a junction, it hesitates way too much but once yiure on the go, that DCT is spectacular for its age
Its wierd that Harris laughs at people commenting about steering feel in this video, when he doesnt feel too strongly about electric steering despite feeling it's accurate.
@@charliecharlie2484Lexus actually has the best build quality and craftsmanship in the car industry, at 100k miles it won’t sound like a rattle box like the m3 and c63
DAZ605 this is so not true, the s65 engine has been reliable, only ones that blew up are due to supercharging and irregular oil changes, get your facts straight, all these cars like c63 and m3 has high performance engines and you expect people to blow them up due to tuning, but if you care for them all these engines will do well and reward you
xavier xe Yeah, I own a 2013 ZCP M3, the S65 is international engine of the year 2008-2012 five years in a row but the guys above claim that it blows and have no evidence to back it up except from chatter on bimmer posts from guys who supercharged their S65 at a lousy mechanics shop. Any engine blows when one tampers with the already perfectly engineered S65 such as supercharging by a second rate mechanic. Why would one do it to an already fine product blows my mind, These guys above were having a private discussion among themselves and believing one another is even funnier, without a shred of evidence to back up their arguments one guy says yeah to the other...idiots
What is it with UK journos binning Lexus They said its got the worst dash. Are they blind? The m3 looks like a Vauxhall dash with decent red leathers. That c63 dash is laughable. Lexus wins!! Better engine. More rare. Most reliable.easiest to tune. M3 comes second as that v8 with Manual is a peach. But it'll be in the garage all the time. C63. I've got nothing good to say. The engine seems decent but that's it. Lexus all day
Silly comment. The C63 has tonnes going for it. The engine is amazing and its a great chassis. Its sound is otherworldly. Id probably still get the Lexus as its less likely to go wrong and does everything well. The ride is very firm on them though.
Yep the Lexus is the best car for straight lines because even the Japanese admit its handeling is horrid compared to even the m3. When the Japanese programs tested it their every single one of their pro racing drivers agreed the m3 was the superior car.
Nice, praising the non dct m3 as you struggle to pull a gear. Hand on the wheel would not be faster and safer? Nevermind, when f1 tech comes to the street it usually is a good thing. However, I still love my e46 m with SMG 2. You know you just pulled a gear while your hands are on the steering wheel. If you are in doubt ask any gt pro. Yes, I have a dct as well in my 135. It is fast but kind of numb .
M3 is great handling car much faster on track tha both other, but engine is disappointed, C63 only has great engine, that torque and sound is awesome Is has good sund and gearbox!
Id go for a lexus
I know they're old, but some people might like them still. Drivers Republic videos are found nowhere else.
ahpadt thanks for them!! Post more ifyou can
I like them a lot. And the other one, the GT3 review too.

As an m3 owner this is painful haha
Bullshit misconception.
C63 or M3 any day, will live with the problems
Best comment.
Three great cars, three great drivers, awesome video. I wish this video was available in HD. I would take the C63 AMG please.

BMW4VER, ///M rules...best road car ever made

Drifting in the wet is not how you test a car's ability. But hey when you have to film you must.
Too bad they were too early to the market with it. Beats anything currently offered.

Another reason to go for the C63 is because E90/E92 engines seem to blow up.It's a true fact now.

Such hi tech cars but shot in such poor vid quality, would be great if the vid was in HD.
Filmed with a toaster, brilliant.
You do realise this was filmed 10 years ago, right?
In outright numbers (power, torque etc.).. certainly not laptimes or to drive..
There was c43 amg raw and potent car
