another good instructional video with clear explanation. you appear to be using a little reverse slice action, though it's hard to tell for sure without hearing the shuttle being struck. it is not necessary to use any slicing action, but one thing i like about the cross court smash is the varying degree of slice you can use to surprise your opponent and affect the flight path and placement. as your instructional shows the swing and follow-through is exactly the same as a cross net drop, where you are maxing out reverse slice and slowing the strike force. i often practice this beginning with no slice hitting toward the rear of the court and with each shot increasing slice and bringing the shuttle forward until it is a net drop
I think you want to add some slice since full cross power smash without slice would go 2 m out and it would be very obvious that you want to smash cross. If you watch pros like Chen Long and Antonsen they do a lot of slicing to get better angle and to make it look like straight smash.
Hey coach, is it possible to do a video about the 3rd shot, so the partner of the server and where they should stand on court and what shots they should/can play given their service partner plays a good serve or a bad serve etc. And how do we practise these midcourt flat returns during training? Thanks!
your videos are really good , an help me a lot . why you have stopped in making , which helps lot of people. Compared to other channels , your channel is the one which gives justice to the worl of baminton. Make more videos for community sake.
