Very interesting that you can tell there is a problem by the tone they are emitting. Very cool!! You may have done this a time or two 😁 Guys again if your following along make sure you catch Craigs’ Live Streams if you have questions he answers them LIVE for you. Thanks so much for what your doing Branch Family.
Hello Craig. Thanks for the videos. Always good information! I wanted to let you know that we use a turkey wing feather to brush bees off frames or boxes or whatever. Bees hate bee brushes and every time we used them we had MAD bees. We heard about this and now all we use is turkey feathers. For whatever reason they don't get anywhere near as agitated when being brushed with a feather. They last a long time also and honey or whatever just rinses right off. We have a few extras if you would like to try one.
They definitely hate the synthetic fiber brushes. I have heard that about turkey feathers. I need to get some out and try it. That’s interesting that honey comes off easy. Guess it may be the oils in the feather
Thank you 🙏! It has a ladder system built into the feeder. They are made by motherlode bee products. Great feeders! We order ours from Miller bee supply.
Thanks Craig. I was surprised you didn’t combine the medium below with the queenright deep. Any reason you have the medium queen builder now queenless with no cells?
I will be using the medium as a split in a few days when they cells come out of the incubator and just didn’t mess with it. It is also just in case something happens to the cells we can drop new In easily.
After the egg was laid. I misspoke in the video, it’s egg laying to day 8. The should be capped on day 8 and then Go to incubator for the remainder of the duration. I place cells in colonies at 14 days but you have to be gentle and keep them warm
Hello Craig on your queenless colony with the numbers low in the hive I know there is pollen coming in but with low numbers do you ever put a pollen patties on those when you are trying to get them to produce a queen even if it is just a small piece . I have done that a few times just knowing it has small numbers of bees . Just a thought. THANKS
Hey Kathy! I have and anytime I’m trying to raise a number of cells I place pollen. Just have to monitor the colony close if it has low numbers because of hive beetles.
I honestly have no clue why it was there. Possible last chance survival instinct. But it appeared to have emerged, but could have been chewed down. Time will tell? Either way they are getting a cell in a few days. May the best queen win.
Could you update your location in your profile? I have no idea if you are talking about growing apiary in Alaska or Florida. I am half way between those two.

Thanks John.
Good videos, Craig! South of you in Rock Hill. Trying my double screens too on a hive that i found swarm cells this week.
They work very well! Thanks for watching.
Lots of good information. Enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Thank you
Thank you
Thanks, Craig. Busting to begin grafting and making splits.
You got this!

Following along, What do you have in the frame feeder for a float system?
Nice to see your grafting success.

Just keep following Micheal Bush's pangea method.
I’m not familiar with the Pangea method? Our beekeeping methodologies are quiet different. He seems knowledgeable about bees though
I apologize. I spelled that wrong. It's panacea.
Craig do you put the cells in the incubator 8 days after graft or 8 days after egg was laid?

Ya the SHB was what I was thinking about when I said just a small pc of pollen but I forgot to say that about the SHB . Thanks
How could they draw out another cell being without a queen for so long? Did you give them a frame with eggs?

I’m in Nc. Will do! Didn’t realize it wasn’t there
