I used this recipe, gaining experience from watching your video, new machine today, and it cooked the rice perfectly. Thanks so much.

Hi Gemma I would just love to thank you, I was one of those who failed my first rice cook, I'm only 6mths into my Tm6 & thanks to your step by step instructions I was very successful cooking my (1 cup) boiled rice, its turned out so light and fluffy and now drying for fried rice, so thank you once again. I'm a subbie now for 6mths and just love your channel, when I need any assistance I turn to your channel and I will need you more now my cookidoo has run out and need to save up for subscription. thank heavens for your videos your an angle in disguise

definitely better than cooking directly in the thermomix container, which is what I've been doing. Only because cleaning it out and getting the rice gunk out of the blades isn't all that fun

Parboiled rice and basmati rice are" treated "the same way?

Hi! Thank you so much for the demonstration! I see you left the measuring cup on while cooking, while I saw on the recipe and other websites they say to leave it off, what’s the best thing to do and does it change much?

I prefer leaving it on .... But I think that recipe has actually been updated and it says remove
Works both ways so personal choice

Im abit confused.. Were you supposed to wash the rice before pouring into the scale? Or in the order that you did it?
    Great video 👍

No you want to weight then wash ….
Or if you forget to wash just speed it up to speed 7 for a couple of seconds to wash in the bowl

What's the maximum speed when using simmering basket to cook rice?

    • @GemmaThermomixConsultant
      @GemmaThermomixConsultant  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It will cook up to speed 5.5 …. At 6 the heat turns off
To was the rice I turn it up to 8-9
I prefer speed 4 to cook

@@GemmaThermomixConsultant Will the simmering basket get cut at speed 5.5 or above?

@@jeannieleong1028 no the heat turns off
The simmering basket won’t be damaged

What do you if you want to make less. Say just enough to make a cup of cooked rice.

So increasing the speed to finish washing the rice, leaves whatever is being washed off in the water, which the rice is re-absorbing when cooking, doesn’t make sense 😳
