I played Ashaya in the Omnath landfall ramp deck and it just usually either stopped aggro decks dead in their tracks or snowballed landfall triggers into a victory, it's a nutty card.
Got a green white +1 counter deck, to have fun with the awesome trick that is felidar retreat and iridescent hornbeetle. Ashaya is awesome as an addition in that.

Rielle, The Everwise Combo's amazingly well with song, Discard my hand you say? Don't mind if I do. Oh was that a Teferi's Insight? 14 cards in hand and go off on your turn with opt and counterspells. Drop a Thassa's Oracle and lLOL. and with cards like Cathartic Reunion and Thrill of possibility She gets Really OP. Slap on Mr. Cleve and call it a day. Thank you for what you do. Everyone's sleeping on Kaza, Roil Chaser. Its like people forget that red blue is one of if not the strongest color combo to ever be created. Slap it on a wizard with haste that makes spells cost less the turn they come down. We'll see her some day.

Atris, Oracle of Half-Truth has been amazing for me. This card + Yorion + ECD have been ranking me up well. Atris played while ECD is on 2nd saga is especially potent.
I have been messing around with Gyruda lately and it's fun, however it lacks other good 6 drops that you could play without Gyruda. Also loosing paradise druid hurt a lot. Finally, for some unknown reason I would constantly run into dimir control when I'm playing it...
I was fully expecting to see Storm Herald on the list. There’s enough self mill/discard to throw a couple colossification in the yard. Cast this guy and fling him to win out of nowhere. Add in the mill decks running amok and this guy is just plain dangerous
The problem about underworld breach is that people are using cling to dust to keep their graveyard empty against rogues, so idk if it will have that much space, unless it's post sideboard against rogues.
I think Klothys, God of Destiny is another card people are sleeping on. I have it in my gruul landfall deck and its sniped many a kroxa in just a little play testing.
Concerning dimir ctrl: I find that 3 mana jace is actually a quite nice replacement for 3 mana narset. The kicker cost makes it even better (scry 2 + draw). ps. don't know if I asked this before but I wonder if radha will find a home. I like her unique ability and I would think gruul has some tools to make some valid points.
13:19 there probably could be in paper or Bo3, but the hand smoothing algorithm doesn't count the MDFCs as land, so it always gives your opponents land but does nothing for you. That's a pretty bad disadvantage.
If you have just a couple of lands in your deck it tends to guarantee one or two lands and then you have the mdfcs as well so you end up with more lands than oppo
Yeah... I’ve been brewing with Gyruda since before the ban. Turned out Bant Gyruda with Ruin Crab consistently beat Omnath decks. Like I didn’t lose to them. It was actually weird since the deck was incomplete.
Mono white Angel of Destiny lifegain deck is serving me well in platinum standard. Currently running two copies but thinking about using wild cards to make at least one more.
The problem with Cragplate is that he doesn't have trample. Against the decks he's good against, yes, he's pretty good--as is pretty much any aggro deck. Too many decks will have blockers by the time you can play this. Not a bad sideboard card against a heavy control deck, but aggro, or even midrange he's just not worth the cost. I've been playing a (Jeskai) Izzet deck with Vadrok; usually my goal is to cast See the Trust (draw 3). My list is definitely not perfect, but it does ok in ranked. Underworld breach is my comeback card in Rakdos but just as often drawing a thud type spell would get the same effect. I actually think the better shell for it is RG ramp or stompy.
I don't remember shimmer dragon even existing. Underworld breach I feel isn't as great as a straight value engine, but maybe there's a way to break it in standard?
I don’t really see myself dedicating 3-4 slots to Underworld breach to just replay a couple spells unless there is a combo in standard that can reliably break it. There isn’t really any room for a combo like that except maybe a fringe deck with Song of Creation, so I don’t think this card has as high a ceiling as what you think.
I think the value is really emptying your own graveyard. You can empty 3 to escape it, even with no plays, to shut down rogues and graveyard based bonuses
@@nickniehaus1763 why not just play cling to dust then? It's been a star against all graveyard decks that I think you will be fine playing 2 copies main. You can clear five cards from your graveyard for 4 Mana.
I run a cragplate behemoth deck using transmog, garruks uprising to give trample, and moraug to have extra combats xD build your own carnage tyrant. If you want the list I can put it in the replies
Cragplate Baloth is pretty meh. There's very few no creature control decks floating around and not having trample makes it end up chump blocked all day. The rogues deck can kill pretty fast and have tons of random things to block it too so I really don't see it getting played like Carnage Tyrant. I think if you are playing it you are planning to stick auras or equipment to give it evasion, otherwise it's really not that good.
@@brocklee6828 Even the dimir control has random creatures like ruin crab or tokens made by Ashiok, especially after sideboard. I would like something like the great henge a bit more to play the grindy game. Of course if you have main deck ways to give it evasion that's another story.
Man.... I’ve been trying to build vadrok and ashaya for ages now. For ashaya I have a pretty nice historic deck which has been hold it’s own.... but standard is hard The best card to pair with it is ondu inversion hands down, but then, you need to build a deck in which ashaya is not just a pet card. I mean, sure you can use her as a ramp engine, but for what? My historic deck has basically ondu inversion, kinnan and finale of devastation as things to “ramp onto”, everything else is pretty much just grindy creatures and mana dorks. The issue here is that the grindy creatures and "removal creatures" are lacking in standard, sure you have Skyclave Apparition that I'm already running 4of, but you miss Deputy of Detention and that's really important. There are no 1drop mana dorks, no 2drop droks nearly as good as Paradise druid. And the main issue.... no good landfall synergies to try for something different. Every good landfall card is an aggro card... if there was something like Emeria's Sheppherd or Admonition Angel I'd be all in for those. The best Landfall card to go along with it would IMO, be Valakut Exploration. But I also failed trying to build a Naya version.

I had the same thoughts about Shimmer Dragon and Vadrok. Turn 2 Sprite Dragon>Turn 3 Royal Scions>Turn 4 mutate onto sprite is just such a sick play.

Love Underworld Breach. Just one of main in my Irencreag/Emancipation burn deck; Leyline Tyrant, also in, could've been on this list.
Triple-blue can be pretty tough to get down for Lullmage's Domination in Rogues. Rogues also commonly runs Cling to Dust in main.

I've been playing a mono green Ashaya deck with Henge, nyxbloom ancient, Migratory Greathorn, and cultivate/roiling regrowth
Vadrok mutates for effectively 2 colors, so it's really good tech against other flyers not mention a removal piece and an atk buff in one
And you can ignore the fact it is legendary by mutating it under another creature. It keeps flying and 1st strike anyway.

I have lullmage's domination. in my rogues deck and in any deck with blue. It is a beast. I made one with gyruda and lullmages domination.

Maybe you said it but Shadow's Verdict may be the best board wipe right now. Exiles most of the rogues and everything in Rakdos Lurrus decks.

angel of destiny has won me more than one brawl deck, especially with it being a Heliod plus 1 token deck.

I've won games with angel of destiny. Ashaya I have seen broken because every time a scute makes a copy it triggers making an infinite loop
NILgravity not infinite, but often disgusting amounts of bodies, cause ashaya specifies non token
