Walt is jealous of the respect and liking his son always had for Hank, and that jealousy really bubbled up due to the praising speech Skyler gave to Gretchen and Elliott earlier, giving them the credit he felt he deserved for earning the money.
13:59 - "How long has it been like that?" Walt Jr. was complaining about the lack of hot water all the way back when we first met him in the first episode.
I think you nailed the whole Walt thing. With Jesse, he was never good enough in anyone's eyes. Never really felt the love of his parents, always a disappointment. I think that's why the rejection from Jane hurt him so much and he turns to drugs to handle his feelings.
Couple of things.. the showdown between Walt and Hank at the pool over the bottle... that was a long time coming. Walt showed himself, in that instance, of being willing to go farther than Hank in order to assert dominance. Hank, not being used to facing an 'alpha' version of Walt.. was shocked and unprepared to deal with the situation assertively. An alpha on his/her own territory is a powerful thing if he/she chooses to be. Secondly, you can plainly see the discomfort on Walt's face when Skylar was giving her speech at the beginning of the party. Walt (not Heisenberg) is clearly an outwardly humble person who is not keen on public praise. It is an extension of his self defense mechanism from being judged in a bad light. It has become a habit of this trait. Heisenberg has no such problem, as he is basically Walter's suppressed ego with no reservations and a strict code of honor. Heisenberg would likely have accepted.. even reveled, in the praise. Lastly..his focus on repairing the water heater and flooring was his attempt at regaining/maintaining control of his environment.. without resorting to Heisenberg's methods. Think of it as the last, dying gasp, of what is left of Walter White. Peace
Seeing you two really getting into the discussion of the plot and characters makes me smile, it's all coming together and every little thing is going to either shock you, horrify you, excite you, or tease you.
great job of breaking down Walt's state of mind. really on rewatch realizing how important that moment was. He could have quit at that moment and gotten out of the meth game and had money for his family, but he chooses in this moment not to
Honestly I’m married now, but when I was dating, if a guy was that enthusiastic to meet my dad, I’d take it as a very good sign. Then again I’m not a former junkie dating a current junkie so slightly different situation. But idk, Jesse’s such a good dude like that. Really respects her and cares about her so logically wants to be a stand up dude and take the initiative and introduce himself to her dad. I just love him 💕
People really should subscribe to your Patreon because it's so great getting the full episode reactions uncut & all the extra convo :-) And sorry I missed your chat on there today but I was at work :-( It was interesting to see you both go from smiling to uncomfortable with the Walt Jr & Hank drinking scene. What I love so much about this show is that you feel like you could easily be at that exact pool party having fun & then a switch flips & you're like . . . uhhhhh
Oh yeah, I have been at parties that have been like that before. Everyone is having fun and all of a sudden everything gets quiet and people are in each others faces!! So awkward!!! And yes, I hope more people do decide to join our Patreon, because I am really enjoying chatting with you guys on discord!! - Lacey
I am glad that you're getting more into these slower episodes that focus more on the drama like family/relationship issues, characters' psychology, etc... A while ago, you looked you're more reserved for those stuff and a little bored.
Heisenberg is bored sitting at home, getting no respect, having to fill the boring time with building projects. He showed up when he was drunk, and then at the store he decided nah I wanna keep cooking.
Any time you see Walt lose his cool or raise his voice, that's not Walt That's hos alter ego pushing through Walt is slowly losing himself to his Heisenberg persona In a way you could say Walt is possessed
That guy Heisenberg meets at the end has the iconic goatee Heisenberg grows later on in the series. Heisenberg takes trophies from people he wins from. Her some other examples: Eating bread without crusts: Crazy Eight The manner he pukes: Gus Fring Intimidation: Tuco (not sure about this one tough) Really fun how things pop out when you rewatch the show :D
Electrified my love is better, its crystalized so am i Could be the diamond infused with the whose next This is beginning to feel like the dawn of a loser forever....
Heisenberg took over this episode. The dude stared down that burley dude who could clearly kick his ass but Walt never blinks and makes the guy shit his pants and leave.
I just watched the whole serie with my girlfriend who never had seen it before. I just cannot wait for your next reaction on this great serie. Cant wait for your toughts after the final episode :O Love from The Netherlands!
Lacey's breakdowns b on point n Steve with advice love it. N Steve u gimme a shout-out when u start to feel it's the greatest show you've ever watched. 😂😂😂
"Stay out of my territory". One of the most iconic Walter White lines. Guys, you're so lucky. You are about to whitness some amazing stuff with this series. If i could just watch it again not knowing what's going to happen. Enjoy the ride. Love your reactions. Have to say this. Lacey, you look gorgeous. :) Steve, you look good too, bro. Not forgeting you.
Hank is not as "alpha" as he puts on. He is now suffering from ptsd. (Im not judging. I suffer ptsd myself. Just pointung it out) And the ones who want to be alpha, tend to pick on the weaker, to elevate themselves. Hank has always used Walt as a step stool. And Walt, because his fears were always failure, sat back and allowed Hank to do it. Walt Jr. Really admires Hank. And Walter knows this. There seems to be real friction between the two. Skylar. Well, I have zero respect for the character. Walt tried to tell her he did not want to take chemo. He did not want to spend the money. He did not want to be sicker! Becayou cant beat it. He is not cured. He just prolonged the inevitable. And now, Skylar realizes this. And instead of turning to her husband!!! Is turning to an outsider! She didnt mind turning to Hank, her sister, and even her special needs son, in an effort to manipulate her husband into doing something she wanted. Now, she goes to Ted? I cant stand her.lol Walt needs her now more than ever. And she is too bitter to be there for him. And too bitter to turn to him for help herself. Hope she puts on some better clothes, and keeps her hands in her pockets. And uses them to only reach out to her family! Great show! And another great video! Cant wait for more!
Great reaction once again , have u guys ever watched “ the 100 “ it’s my favourite show right now - starts to get amazing after like 9th episode in season 1 ( current season is 6 ) and it’s insane - u would have to have like a interest in it to not go off it in the first episodes though - as I rewatched it a few months ago and didn’t find it boring
Duo Reacts basically there’s a nuclear event and people who survived are in space - in this instance no one knows whether earth is liveable - so they send 100 criminals down to earth , and it goes from there - finding there’s enemies already living there and natural events that they have to tackle too - like I said it gets much much better as it goes along .
Great Job! I have to admit when you started reacting to Breaking Bad, I wasn't sure how I would enjoy you. Here, now 17 episodes into it, I really must commend you for your intelligence, humor and intuition. Beyond that, I like your relationship, it's a really nice model of listening, considering and responding very well. Congratulations.
John, thank you so much for your kind words! That was very thoughtful of you to say! I am so glad that you are enjoying our reactions and insights, sometimes right, yet sometimes wrong, I do believe we both put a lot of thought behind WHY we feel a certain way, and usually have a good basis behind those thoughts. Thank you so much for your support! - Lacey
Walt is jealous of the respect and liking his son always had for Hank, and that jealousy really bubbled up due to the praising speech Skyler gave to Gretchen and Elliott earlier, giving them the credit he felt he deserved for earning the money.
Yep, this exactly
It is the very thing that destroyed him in the end.
That pool scene will always be iconic!!! Also that ending tho!! “Stay out of my territory!!” Definitely a classic ending!!!
When junior throws up?
@My Maggot flinn said I want to drink so he let him drink😂
13:59 - "How long has it been like that?" Walt Jr. was complaining about the lack of hot water all the way back when we first met him in the first episode.
Walter is not present at the party. Heisenberg is.
“Stay out of my territory”..... ironic how Ted is movin in on his.
Ted is moving in on Walt's territory, but Walt died at the end of this episode, Heisenberg was born
I think you nailed the whole Walt thing. With Jesse, he was never good enough in anyone's eyes. Never really felt the love of his parents, always a disappointment. I think that's why the rejection from Jane hurt him so much and he turns to drugs to handle his feelings.
Even though they love each other, Walt is resentful of Hank's bond with Jr., and how Hank is perceived as tougher and more relevant than him.
Intro kicks in
Steve: "...What in the shit!?" 😂

Walt's egomania is his worst enemy. It's kind of a recurring thing.
Seeing you two really getting into the discussion of the plot and characters makes me smile, it's all coming together and every little thing is going to either shock you, horrify you, excite you, or tease you.

Heisenberg has entered the chat. The look of shock on you guys was great
Steve: I like these characters.
Showrunner: Well we need to fix that.
you can see the paint saying Killz white then a few moments later Hisenberg appears ...i love this show goat
STAY OUT OF MY TERRITORY
ICONIC AF
I am glad that you're getting more into these slower episodes that focus more on the drama like family/relationship issues, characters' psychology, etc... A while ago, you looked you're more reserved for those stuff and a little bored.
2:27 - Huh! I never thought about it before by Walt's cracked windshield looks more than a bit like a sheet of cracked crystal meth.
@@CraigKostelecky yum😋
This episode showed little bit of Mr Hyde coming through looks like dr jekyll on way out skyler boss better look out
Not dominance. He was establishing boundaries as a father and husband...in his eyes...
Also that's not even Heisenberg's most bad ass quotes.
The "why me?" Speech! How revealing!
I absolutely love the end of this episode. The music with the scene is just awesome. I love watching this great show again along with you guys!
Steve never doubt a woman instinct when it comes to relationship. Hahahaha
Walt at the end of this episode is SO BADASS.
Heisenberg is bored sitting at home, getting no respect, having to fill the boring time with building projects. He showed up when he was drunk, and then at the store he decided nah I wanna keep cooking.
17:26 - _"He's trying to be supportive."_ ...Oh you sweet, summer child, lol.
"Stay out of my territory" almost comes across in an Animalistic way!
‘He’s trying to be supportive’ nah bro Ted tryna fuck 😂😂😂
Man I love the end of this episode. so freaking epic with the music.
8:51 Hank acting like that tequila is battery acid or something lol
Any time you see Walt lose his cool or raise his voice, that's not Walt
That's hos alter ego pushing through
Walt is slowly losing himself to his Heisenberg persona
In a way you could say Walt is possessed
U guys seem rly cool, discovering all these reactors watching breaking bad. Such a damn good show.
the best part isnt even "stay out of my territory," its the way the guys just slowly back up and gtfo without saying anything
Heisenberg is starting to show.
Every time I watch a Duo video I briefly ask myself "what is Steve doing hanging out with Kate Mara?"
Who is Kate Mara? - Lacey
Nevermind I googled her, I can see a small resemblance
Google her, she's an actress who was in House of Cards and a number of movies. She's Rooney Mara's sister. :)
"stay out of my territory." *goosebumps*

Time to DUOoooo-IT again ❤️❤️💪💪💯💯
Heisenberg took over this episode. The dude stared down that burley dude who could clearly kick his ass but Walt never blinks and makes the guy shit his pants and leave.
Walter white looked like Ned Flanders lmao 😂
Walt can't kick the Heisenberg. He needs a 12 step program. "Hi, I'm Walt, and I'm a Heisenbergaholic.
I just watched the whole serie with my girlfriend who never had seen it before. I just cannot wait for your next reaction on this great serie. Cant wait for your toughts after the final episode :O Love from The Netherlands!
Bring...the bottle... back.
Lol with the Skylar and Benecke stuff. Dudes so clueless but the woman knows whats going on, Skylar looking for some strange
In my opinion Walt is just as addicted to breaking bad as Jessie is to making bad choices.
Cranston described it as Heisenberg was always there. just buried.
Heisenberg shows his face this episode
Hey, the expensive part of Tankless waterheaters is the instalation which like $2000. What a rip off!!! I wanted a tankless but could not afford it.
Lacey's breakdowns b on point n Steve with advice love it. N Steve u gimme a shout-out when u start to feel it's the greatest show you've ever watched. 😂😂😂
I've been waiting for this episode!!
That part of the country shaving cream comes out of the two😤
If this were 3 Acts... This is the end of Act 1. Next episode starts a whole new roller coaster. Enjoy.
Q enters the scene. He's done bothering Picard😆. Now he's going to put Jessie in his place?
He's becoming Heisenberg that's what he's doing . Man... u guys have no idea lol ! Prepare to have your mind blown 🤯
Heisenberg is here for good. Now it takes off.
Steve, you look good too, bro. Not forgeting you.
Awe shucks... thanks!! - Lacey
That intro is back, because cause you ask for it. What could b going on? I feel no one will guess what the intro is leading to.
Did Heisenberg actually get an invite to the party or did he just gate-crash with the Tequila.
Hank is not as "alpha" as he puts on. He is now suffering from ptsd. (Im not judging. I suffer ptsd myself. That pool scene is so awkward
Loving the eye-makeup giirl!
Thank you so much Matias!!!! - Lacey
Walter white best villain of ever

it is hard to "insert yourself" when she isn't ready...
Hank better "tread lightly."
OH YES! Heisenberg Again! :)
Lets do it
Yeah
Q from Star Trek
Stay out of my commentary
Umm okay
