You are such an incredibly generous teacher. You address so many problems, and offer solutions that make sense and that work. Your explanations and your demonstrations are extremely clear. You have helped me understand concepts that I have never before understood and that I suspect other teachers don't understand either. Quite simply, you are a brilliant master teacher.
You are the greatest Miss Victoria! My concerts in the car sound a lot different. Lol. I have bought your lessons and I love it. Thank you. Happy 2024!
Holy mackerel - thanks to these exercises, I was able to sing a high note today that I haven't sung since high school and it was effortless! I'm adding these to my daily repertoire. Victoria, you truly are Victorious! Thank you!
Started watching your videos and I’m so excited. I’m almost 32, and after high school, I stopped singing. I was in musicals, choirs and was in great physical shape from sports. I sang aaalllll the time and singing was so easy and it felt good. I’ve had chronic respiratory illness since and all the coughing and sickness has made my voice soooooo dull, tired, raspy. Can’t sing a full song without my voice going out, and that’s in my lower range 🤦🏼♀️ hopefully I can get my voice back! I miss it! FIX ME 😂
I'm currently working on classical singing style as an all-and-only belter with only basic experience with blending the voice so THIS WILL HELP ME THE MOST when making the transitions between the chest blend and head blend easier. Thank you SO MUCH, Victoria. This is EXTREMELY helpful. ❤❤❤😉
What a great start to 2024! Every time I think you've reached the peak, you surpass yourself. Adding this one to my daily routines. Both for working on the passaggio and stretching the top with the aim of hitting the top notes with control as opposed to hitting a dart board approach.
Hi, Victoria. I’m trying to glide but I have a previous voice teacher from 30 years ago in my head yelling “don’t scoop!” Are we gliding up and down to strengthen our voice, but we wouldn’t sing a song this way, right? Is “scoop” a thing and is it the same as glide? Thank you!
My last long-form video from a week ago was on scooping! You should definitely watch it. However, glides are an excellent tool to help with standing connected and smooth, sometimes called a glissando. Then you can learn to decrease the degree of glide. Whether or not you use it in a song all depends on the style of music.
@@Victoria-Victorious No wonder I love it, as I am from Santa Cruz CA! LOL...can you tell me what store in CA you got it from! I love practicing singing with you!
Hello. I have just started watching your videos and I love them. I have a general question..hoping you can help. I have hypothyroidism and therefore, thicker vocal folds causing a deeper voice. I don't believe it is physically possible for me to hit any high notes. Is there more of a chance for me to damage my vocal cords because of vocal fatigue due to my condition ?
I also have hypothyroidism (nasty little disease, isn't it?) with a thyroid nodule that's on cancer watch. I'm a lifelong singer and lost the top of my range but am retrieving some of it with dedicated practice, being patient with myself, and having fun. I don't know if I'll ever hit my highest note again but that doesn't matter as long as I'm enjoying myself! 🎙️😊 All the best to you ~

Thank you so much, David! So when can I hear you sing?
I'll be doing this on a noisy boulevard sidewalk. People think I'm losing it.
Me I practise quietly, while waiting for th bus to town at our local bus shelter. I've no privacy at my home.
Great video, perfect exercises! No vibrato but tones are clear, so that's fine. Thanks Victoria! Oh i LOVE the new program setup!!
Awesome! Thank you for posting! 🧡
I’m in loving with your videos ❤
Love You Victoria from South Africa. You are beautiful and your voice sounds like a Medieval Queen.

I had to laugh when you illustrated the glide wrong. You sounded like Tarzan. 😊

thank you victoria , i always love to sing like karaoke but don't know how to sing correctly it seems like my voice is so annoying 😂
Follow my playlist for Beginning Singers! 😃
Victoria do you have any tips for making the start sound distinctly … the very first sound of the AH ?
See my video on the Vocal Onset. 😊
@@Victoria-Victorious Thank you !
It would be better if you were born in India
Then you used to teach us Indian classical music easily even though it was difficult
Our bad luck ☹️
Great video! And I love your sweater! Where did you get it? I am traveling to New York and would love to have one like it!
Thank you! This sweater is from California. I have not lived in NY since my teen years!

It’s several years old from Macys, LOL! I take it out during the holidays! 😄
@@Victoria-Victorious Thank you! You look great!
My voice starts to sputter at a certain point like the air doesn’t go smoothly through. Will this go away with practice?
It's impossible to tell without seeing and hearing you. Keep practicing the glides over that part of your voice.
I like you 🎉❤
Happy that you like my videos!
