Thanks for the video ! I was trying to unscrew it anticlockwise instead of clockwise no wonder I was having problemsa LOL. I had to hold the old brush in a vice as the locking button kept releasing. got there in the end ! 🙂

I can't seem to get the axle to lock properly. I am doing what you show on the video but the wheel still moves when I try to do the next step. Help!

​@@archivedcafeteriahey guys! I found the solution for this problem.
1) click the part off.
2) unscrew 4 x screws on the back of it. Be careful! Inner parts will be visable now.
3) a silver plate with a spring attachted is now visable.
4) carefully remove the spring, and you can now place the plate all the way down the mid axel, to provent it from rotating.
5) while holding the silver plate in place, now unscrew the brush clockwise.

you don't need to unscrew anything other than the one screw that holds the disk. it takes me 2 min to change.

Same. The wheel won't lock for some reason. And I followed the steps in this video. Whenever I went to unscrew brush the wheel turned... 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Did you figure it out?

@@KSmeaton1 In my case it was that the allen key wouldn't unfasten the brush. I contacted Ryobi and has the unit replaced under warranty. To avoid that problem put a dab of grease on the bolt before use. For the wheel turning issue you have, it is the button on the side of the unit that needs pressing to stop the wheel turn. Press it and importantly hold it in while you use the allen key.

@tenterdenmensshed1487 Yeah, the screw in mine is really stiff I can't even move it with allen key... so if I oil the screw will that help?
