Love this dad. Lovely fella, smart, kind, chill, hardworking, disciplined, responsible, caring, calm, big dreamer, articulate, relaxed, sweet, funny, yet remains the strong silent type and lets his wife take the limelight, self effacing, and his pearls of wisdom and witticisms when he thinks he is being very entertaining and relevant are hilarious, even though unintended. Also, loves his wife but hasn't given up on his mom who lives so far away. Adores and always openly praises and raises up his kids. Very unlike the typical Indian male in many ways.
A father's support goes a long way. Zarna Ma'am - I understand how painful it must be for you to not have this whole-hearted support. But you broke the generational curse by marrying your husband who's a good father to his daughter. A job exceptionally well done ✅
All Indian dads are not the same. I am 54 years old and my dad was very supportive and forward thinking - encouraged me to be independent financially and emotionally. Remember him always saying don’t think there is any difference between a man and woman and never take shit from a man. Feel blessed.
I absolutely loved this episode. Shalabh should be so proud of the influence he has had on his children. He is so calm, composed and such an eloquent gentleman. I also love how he also speaks highly of Zarna and all his children, even during the times when they all tease and disagree with him. A grade to this Dad!
If there was a bad dad award, my dad would be a top contender too. Aunty Z, thank you for saying it so plainly. It’s hard to find a brown woman from your generation who doesn’t justify or excuse the bad behavior or faults of her father. It is weird when you have so many negative memories attached to your father. Thank you for putting it so succinctly and clearly. I appreciate you and your outspoken-ness.
A grade to Shalabh ! He is an exceptional husband and dad . I especially loved that he spoke out during that dinner supporting his wife saying that the reason that they are teasing her is because they know that she will get it right and will be unstoppable. Zarna , you are unstoppable !And you have both done an excellent job in raising your children.
A to everyone. It's heartwarming to see how much respect Shalabh has from entire family and rightly so. Great that he is good example for the kids in how to treat and respect women. And glad that kids actually recognize the quality in their father and that they appreciate. What Brij said is deep, about having a dream. Regardless of how many jokes Zarna makes, it is admirable to see how much she respects Shalabh.
I think not all are same and specifically there are different versions of Bharatiya (indian) Fathers as well. My father gave us (his kids) wings to fly and flourish. And so my friends' Fathers did the same. (Bharatiya) Fathers: Love - he expresses by doing deeds for you. Being there for you when you need him! Trust - he lets you fly with no expectations Respect - he treats you as his pride! Discipline - he applies strictly with no compromise! 😇 One sports, one musical instrument made mandatory of a kid's choice, of course - LOL! Eduation and Nutrition -he makes sure to provide kids best education and best nutrition via nourishing food, apart from mom. Fun - he travels, plays sports, teaches defense techniques ( specially to daughters to protect oneself ) 👍 , enjoys family fun activities, celebrations 🤩 ... Father - the man of less spoken words, lead by an example!! ... List goes on!! At the least myself and my friends are blessed with forward minded, best of the bests fathers!! Bharatiya Fathers rock!! 😎❤ 26:51
Kudos to ma'am for her great achievements. Guys, life can change-you never know... She was in an era where her one-word description was not 'humor.'"for her ❤
To me Shalabh is a mature modern father - who supports his wife 1000%. Doing hard things is very true - however the hardest is to follow your path and be successful to your own expectations and to your true level of want. Education is key. Not everyone is meant to be an Elon Musk or a Jeff Bezos of a Richard Branson not everyone 'wants' to be. The hardest thing to do is to be your true self in the face of cookie cutter mediocrity & empty superficial meaningless ambition. What I love and appreciate about your family The Garg family - is that you are your beautiful and inspiring selves. Don't be anything other than your true selves pursuing what YOU truly WANT at the level you WANT nothing less. Big love .... I so enjoy your sharing. 🙏🏽
I love to watch your podcasts with your family. Your kids are too good. I love Zoya may be I always miss having daughters. Zarna, always keep coming with new podcasts.
Everytime you mention IIT I get traumatised of the past😂. I tried, and failed badly to get into. But the dinner table story was so nice. I see and I think it makes sense now to me how Zarna and Shalabh are made for each other
I loved this episode. The kids and Zarna expressed their love sooooooo beautifully. I appreciated the honesty of Shalabh. . I am trying to get my kids to watch you guys. You are an inspiration. You tackle so many topics which are so interesting.
Love your ways and values Zarna ... a big salute to you ... i am a woman and older than you by 8 yrs and changed 10 schools in 7 different states.. central schools (our time and expect in ur tome too, the fees was very very minimal e.g. Rs 20 pm), in india. Every school had huge playing field, sports day. Yes, these places were not villages but just towns i.e. not cities. Central schools are government schools. Girls participated in sports as much as guys. Some schools also had NCC, cubs/bulbuls ... I continued sports into my mid fifties. Please don't generalise about women in sports. Yes, it definitely also meant ones family support. Any conscious being will see enthusiasm and support it.. nothing to do with being Indian.
A + to Zarna.for me this was the best episode.liked the way Zarna shared her reasons for grading shalabh.n how u shared ur past experiences of failing at the things u tried.i get my motivation from u.
My father has been a role model for me.. with respect to the dedication at workplace and loyalty to the family. He had been one of the most hardworking and sincere person trying to be the best.. in whatever he did . Dear Zarna, you must be really proud to have a partner like that and all your kids looking high up to him... Veer sharing his soft memories of getting a toy, whenever he had a hard day.. must have touched the father.. A grade to the truly deserving father🎉
Thanks for sharing that last piece of "table story". What an incredible partner you have found for yourself, and such an amazing father to your children. Shalab is an amazing human being all around. And he was definitely correct, you are now unstoppable, sure all those people feel embarrassed about themselves now. Bring some of them to the podcast lol :D A+ to Shalab.
Love Shalabh. A family man, driven ambitious, Intelligent, articulate, caring, but willing to let his children discover and pursue their own dreams. That he is also an I.I.T. Graduate is pure icing on the cake. Sigh. Too bad he is taken. A grade to Shalabh.
In favor of Indian dads, believe it or not a lot of Indians dads are like Shalabh for all the good reasons. Mine too and so much proud of him as well. This reminds me of a common family traits and dad traits that I see in my family as well. Good representation of a lot of Indian families. And my dad is in India and still so much progressive in thinking just like Shalabh and a generation prior. Even more proud of that fact.
Shalabh is the best in this episode . Such a nice father to these beautiful kids 💕💕 and ofcourse Zarna you are our always favorite inspiring mom 💗💗 Father is ofcourse a big part of our lives and my dad is 88 now , he will always be my #1 hero and I will continue to make him proud 🥰🥰
This episode was beautiful, gave me a new perspective on life in some ways or at the very keast soem renewed motivation. Also 10Mileper hour is really an insane speed, as an indian our treadmills runs kn km/hr and even then 10 is an effort
If u want to be a good father, be a great husband first.kids learn more from observing how you treat others than from listening to lectures. Mr. Garg is such a great example
Subservient made me laugh😅😅🤣 That wouldn’t be a description of any woman in the western world.😂 Once again a great episode. You guys are all incredibly smart and amazing. I love the dinner table story. Shalabh is a great family man. Thank you for yet another interesting conversation.
Zarna!question!! I watched ALL the Garg podcasts on your youtube (i love them). You mentioned the dinnertable story twice now..this time you mentioned how after Shalabh defended you, the table went quiet...but im dying to know what the response actually was afterwards??im so curious! Like was it just ignored & everyone acted like nothing happened?? & if so, did you notice the peers talk more respectfully towards you & never joked about it again?? Curious on how Shalahbs strong response resonated afterwards!!! Would love to know those details!! Thank you❤❤❤
There are a cheaper line of phones that have location and everything . try xiaomi, mororolla, etc. youll get base models w all the good features and cheaper cost like $200.
It seems real conversation.IITians not sure but he seems very calm supportive and intelligent ofcours! I believe woman needs to nurture but man of the house is always driving force of any household. He can make or break things very easily....yes no doubt woman can still stand and make it work but that makes her journey hard
My relationship with my father was bad he left when I was little and didnt see me much when I was younger and ended dying when I was 19… before he died we did try to fix it cause he wanted it I didn’t but was willing to give one last chance and he ended up dying…. I ended up bitter and hate the woman he was with before… for personal reasons hahah
CIRCA 1990s, BOYS from small towns in INDIA got their lessons of treating girls as equal in their colleges, IIT girls certainly kicks **** ( Read the book, who said she can't by Rashmi Bansal) and their fellow students -boys know that they are equal contenders at all levels., *no matter how conservative family they come from* Ratio of girls to boys then was 1:250. it has improved greatly since then.
Cool fun stuff you folks are doing... be thoughtful about dissing India in general which reeks of privilege. We live in Ggn which is right now costlier than Nyc
I think you guys are not aware that so many times in these podcasts you guys stereotype indians in a negative manner. When you say "you are not a traditional Indian man/dad..." And go about how you are better than them. But in reality many of the Indian dads who consider themselves as traditional and are good as your dad, don't deserve to distance themselves from the word 'traditional' or 'trypical'.
Just to inform you guys Indian men are not like that (the perception you have) even in India. People have evolved a lot in last few decades and men are supporting their daughters like anything.
I know Zarna tries to act funny. But its ok, if Shalabh praises his mom. We will be in the same place, once our sons are married :-). Even if mother-in-law is never appreciative of daughter in laws (mostly they will be critical), we can give them some credit for raising a good son (fairly good at-least).
Shalabh deserves an A grade for being someone who is empowering each of his family members, specially all the women in his family.
Zoya's story is long but I like her.But let others talk.
A father's support goes a long way. Zarna Ma'am - I understand how painful it must be for you to not have this whole-hearted support. But you broke the generational curse by marrying your husband who's a good father to his daughter. A job exceptionally well done ✅
Oh Zarna, I love that you finally said something nice and genuine about Shalabh 😂😊 I always wondered what he and his mom thought about the MIL jokes 😂
Zarna, your last story made me tear up. What a great partner to have to such a fierce warrior.
All Indian dads are not the same. I am 54 years old and my dad was very supportive and forward thinking - encouraged me to be independent financially and emotionally. Remember him always saying don’t think there is any difference between a man and woman and never take shit from a man. Feel blessed.
Wow my respect for uncle shalabh has only skyrocketed after this. Got a bit teary listening to zoya and zarna story. Hats off to king shalabh 🤴
I absolutely loved this episode. Shalabh should be so proud of the influence he has had on his children. He is so calm, composed and such an eloquent gentleman. Uncle Shalabh is the Best!!! Garg kiddos are very blessed to have Auntie Z and Uncle S as parents ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That’s what attracted me to this show and your family is your loving discipline.
Zarna - this was a special episode for Father’s Day. Zoya and the boys used the opportunity to sing his praises which he deserves 💕
Amazing. I absolutely love how all of you discuss. It’s phenomenal. Thanks for not only entertaining but bringing something to ponder.❤
My A once again goes to all of them as this family and their success story is truly a package and may god always bless this family ❤❤
Shalabh, real role model in so many ways . Hats off to you .

Sounds a lot like Jewish fathers including my Dad A”H
Hmm...interesting! My dad has couple of Jewish friends including other ethnicities!! Bharat (India) is melting pot of many ethnicities!!
Love them all.A- grade to everybody. Can't wait for their show/ podcast everyweek.
Big fan of Shalabh🎉
Great podcast as always, my A grade goes to Mr. G, i love the way you treat your wonderful wife and daughter ❤
It’s always great to hear you all. But how many podcasts have you all recorded in a same day?😂
I'm sure they're taking advantage that Zoya is home.
Lots of content creators do, they record as many they can in one day.
He is a phenomenal man.. love this family
Hands down one of my favourite episodes! Shalab is wonderful 🎉
A to Shalabh and also an A to Zarna for acknowledging her husband's support and also speaking for him. Veer is continuing to come into his own.
Kudos to ma'am for her great achievements. Guys, life can change-you never know... She was in an era where her one-word description was not 'humor.'"for her ❤

This episode touched my heart! 💓
I would have loved to have parents like these 2.
Amen.
wow! Such a wholesome episode! Zarna, your experiences are so touching and they hit at a different level. A++++ grade to Shalabh of course!
This was so emotional ❤ we need more dads like him!

I love it when Shalabh mentions his mother!
That last part, the dinner table story you told us needs to be made into a reels.
The best episode so far! Cheers, to the Gargs💕💕🌹🌹🙏🙏

Nice to hear Zarna praising her husband.
A+ to the entire family especially to Dad Garg ❤
❤ A grade for the whole family!

lol zarna and zoya expression when shalab said my sister-in-law, very nice person
All hearts for this episode ❤❤❤
Cheers Shalab … 🍻
The last story I’m going to cry 😢
If u want to be a good father, be a great husband first.kids learn more from observing how you treat others than from listening to lectures. Mr. Garg is such a great example
Shalabh A++ amazing man, father, husband.
A no brainer....'A 'grade to Shalabh all the way..

This is a terrific man
So happy to see the truth of Zarna-Shalabh relationship
Lucky Zarna your husband is amazing take good care of him
Congratulations Shalabh. My A grade goes to you hands down!
Beautiful!
The dad is a super dad.
My A* goes to Shalabh, in being himself and finding a partner loved and nurtured
Shalabh A+++!

at 32:30 we get it zoya , we get it 😂
My relationship with my father was bad he left when I was little and didnt see me much when I was younger and ended dying when I was 19… before he died we did try to fix it cause he wanted it I didn’t but was willing to give one last chance and he ended up dying…. ❤❤❤
My A grade goes to Zoya and Uncle Shalab collectively
rare to find someone from IIT with a little bit more empathy
Zarna, don’t sell yourself short. Having a job in a company, even at the too level, doesn’t even come close to being a bloodbath compared to showbiz.
A to the father
as olways ❤
Incredible family to look up to! Love oozes out of you guys!
The scream ratio is real
Yeah my A grade also goes to shalabh!
I have a funny question for garg family, why all five wear same Clothes in all episodes 😂
Yes I noticed that too 😂😂
I think they filmed multiple episodes at one time while they are all together. I noticed this time too 😊💗
I think they recorded 8 episodes in one go. I saw something like that on Zoya's insta story.
On a funnier note, for once Zarna you are appreciating Shalab for his intelligence 😊
Brij was so quiet in this episode.. what was wrong nephew?
Mothers screaming is very much different from a father. A mother’s screaming is a love in its own form but same can’t be said about fathers
Cool fun stuff you folks are doing... be thoughtful about dissing India in general which reeks of privilege.
We live in Ggn which is right now costlier than Nyc
A goes to Shalab.
Ok on the phone story.. there's dumbphones in the market for young kids.
The last few minutes was endearing ❤

Love you guys ,
but sometimes you need to also look at your good sides and introspect if it's coming from your indian-ness, and speak it out loud.
Just to inform you guys Indian men are not like that (the perception you have) even in India. People have evolved a lot in last few decades and men are supporting their daughters like anything.
