    Another BB episode filled with info about a "teeny, tiny" addition to the bead world. I do have one question--with all the choices we have during our beading adventures, why don't we ever have "just the right color" we think we need for a project? Thanks, Allie, for sharing your beading know how with us.

    Thank goodness you're now focusing on the 15/0's as well as the others! I actually love working with them and it's not that easy to find them or the colours I want. Thank you for thinking beyond the "typical". xo

    What an odd coincidence that this popped up on my recommended list today! I spent ages last night trying to figure out if I had 15/0 Delicas or seed beads. The label said Delicas but the edges looked rounded. You have now confirmed what it is I have - thank you.

    Looking forward to a tutorial using these beads. Thank you for another informative Better Beader episode. I have a bunch of these. I went to a shop that was going out of business years ago and bought what I thought were all .011, sadly many were .015 and I had no idea how to use them. I put them away and had forgotten about them till your video.

    I LOVE 15/0 Delicas and I'm glad to know there is another place I can find them. I don't use them 'that' often, but when I want/need them I want them! Those new to the 15/0's will enjoy them... if they don't go crazy as you mentioned with all those little beads. Can be a challenge to the eyes. Thank you for the great overview.

    Seed bead is the generic term for all the small beads we love to work with, especially from Miyuki and Toho. For some reason, beaders seem to say Delicas and seed beads, when it's really Delicas and round Rocailles, which is french for little rocks/pebbles.

    So the 15/0 delica bead has a larger hole than 15/0 rocaille seed bead ?....possibly allowing more thread passes without breakage? (With correct needle size of course). Also I’m thinking of all the possible projects with them. A dainty brick stitch earring perhaps, peyote bracelet , and lots of bezels.

    Love working with the smaller beads! Is there a bezel chart for the 15/0 delicas for rivolis, cabs........? Thank you

    Hi. I'm stopping here because I bought a bracelet in Etsy with miyuki and seed bed but it doesn't say the difference between them. As a customer, how can I identify the difference because I've seen different prices too in these jewelry? I don't want to be scam paying the fine one against the bad quality ones. Thanks you

    Wow, another new bead! I have Charlotte seed beads. I think they are just a smaller version of a round seed bead! ??

    Thanks for the video! I like using 15/0's for my bead embroidery, but I have a difficult time finding short or regular length needles slender enough to go through the bead hole & still be easy to thread. Do you have recommendations? Thanks.

    Thanks so much for the tip on the 15/0 delica. I recently purchased my 1st 15/0 delica in crystal silver lines. I had a customer of mine give me about 6 tubes of 140 delica hex beads. Can these be used in the same way as a 15/0 delica. Thanks so much again. Sincerely, Melissa Doucette

    Hello, just learning about this size. What size needle would I need to buy? What size thread as well. I would love to start making bracelets. Thank you!

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  ปีที่แล้ว

      You may still be able to use a size 10 needle, it depends on the project. If the project requires you to pass through the 15/0's several times, then a size 12 needle would be better. We recommend DragonThread, it comes in sizes 5, 6, and 8 with size 5 being very thin and size 8 being the thickest. Here is some additional information on the DragonThread: www.potomacbeads.com/dragon-thread-beading-thread

    what size needle and elastic cord for those 15/0 delica beads?

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello there! For 15/0 seed beads, you can use whatever size of thread fits. However keep in mind if you need to pass through the 15/0's a couple of times, it is best to use a very thin thread and size 12 needle. We recommend size 5 & 6 DragonThread.

      Seed beads or Rocailles are uniformly shaped, spheroidal beads ranging in size from under a millimeter to several millimeters.
