      I no longer have the orange 5. I am truly sorry for the delay in response. I had a case of TH-cam Burnout. Times have changed for me in recent months and I am slowly starting to get back to flying and my channel. Had a family tragedy, an Occupation change, a New car purchase, Daughter starting to drive. Kids' school activities and more. I prioritized family first and getting my mental state in order before I could resume my channel operations. Life is trending in a more positive direction and wanted to follow up where I left off.

    So I’ve had an orange 5 for some time now, but until gyroflow has come leaps and bounds from what it originally was, I really want to see what I can get out of it. My problem is not seeing the gyro data pop up next to the video file like my GoPros or Insta360 OneR. Now I am using an M1 Mac. Most people that I see that pull the data are using a PC. Any advice?? All I see is the video file. Great video by the way! I just subscribed

      Hey there thanks so much for the sub and watching the video. You need to make sure you are running at least 1.2.1 firmware in order to generate the Gyro data file on the SD card. It will be separate from the video file. Also make sure internal EIS or electronic image stabilization is turned off in camera. Then just follow my guide and you should be good to go. I wish camera vendors would do better than something as undescriptive as "Flat color" if the intent is to grade... If the intent is to grade, what is the transfer function? What is the colorspace?
    Ideally, the profile intended for grading would have a defined transfer function (possibly even logarithmic) and a somewhat wide colorspace (Rec2020) - and both of these would be precisely documented so that the footage could be graded with a color managed workflow instead of just fiddling with wheels to massage things around until they kinda sorta look OK.

    • @AdventureFPV
      @AdventureFPV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly even with cameras that have a defined color profile I still manually color grade all of my clips. This gets me to the desired look I intend to use. I may consider building a custom lut for this flat color profile as a good jumping off point. I wasn't expecting black magic log footage out of the $100 camera though.

    • @Entropy512
      @Entropy512 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AdventureFPV True, you always need to make some manual adjustments, but in my experience it's a lot easier if you have a defined/clean/known starting point, especially if you want to match footage between cameras.
      A disadvantage here might be if "Flat" just uses a straight unmodified sRGB or Rec709 tone curve - those aren't good for recording dynamic range (too many code values wasted in the highlights). At the opposite end is S-Log3 on 8-bit cameras, which tries to cram too much dynamic range into 8 bits. (Same for gamut settings on Sony - Rec709 too narrow, S-Gamut too wide for 8 bits, Rec2020 not allowed to be combined with S-Log2/3. At least HLG is well defined even if S-Log2 might in theory be slightly better for 8-bit.
      I'm very tempted to get one of these, although the method for setting shutter speed/exposure means that the method I've been using to try and reverse engineer tone curves wouldn't work here... :(

    • @AdventureFPV
      @AdventureFPV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Entropy512 Yeah it would be nice it it had WiFi to change the settings with the phone and preview exposure. But hey its $99 I can't complain about that.

    • @Entropy512
      @Entropy512 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AdventureFPV Even better would be USB tethering. I'm shocked that not a single vendor offering cameras intended for drone usage has bothered to even put a TTL level UART for camera control... It looks like one of the Runcams has an S.Bus input, but bidirectional UART over a dedicated connector (like a 0.1" header, or something locking like JST XA or VH) would have been really great.

      Heck yeah man, I have been in there before but did not stay too long. I would love to come back and meet some local pilots. I am kind of a lone wolf so that would be great to learn from others. Are you there all the time or just during events?

    How do you use one of these as a LIVE fpv camera. I have an old caddx dolphin or knockoff it uses an app called wowcam. But I could only get it to work live fpv when connected to wifi. I'm looking for a fpv camera/transmitter combo that records decent and with audio for my fpv rc lawnmower. It doesn't have to be anything super fancy and High definition but I really hate the glitchy analog style cameras I've seen where it looks like you are kid watching skinamax at 2am lol

      I know what you mean, You cannot use this as both, But if you are on Analog you can take a look at this combo lens kit: amzn.to/3A5FkPM and if you want to go digital you can use an air unit with SD card built in or just use the SD in your goggles. amzn.to/3NkWOe7

    Hi! Could you help me please?
    I just received an Iflight protek25 pusher runcam 4k. When I try to turn it on, just show a red light then it turns off. Do you know what can I do? Thanks
