How do you deal with unavoidable double-frames generated with lousy RunCam software? Even the latest update did not fix that problem, and sadly it looks like it will never be fixed. For regular Joe, they will never notice those double-frames, but when I combine two different camera footage in my videos (Session 5 for example), it's super difficult to sync two footages when they gradually weir off, the longer the videos are, the bigger sync issues arise. hello, in the meantime, congratulations on your skills both as a pilot and as a film editor. I have an orange 5 runcam and I can't make EIS movies with higher definition than 1440p without seeing the video that jerks and jello effect. Is it an SD problem (I have a sandisk extreme) or is the Runcam EIS really useless? The best videos come in my opinion with the 1440p and Superview (superviou does not go there because I have Windows 32bit) or with 1080 XV. Even ISOs with frequent light fluctuations are very slow in response. Do you have a configuration to recommend without having to make too many corrections afterwards? Thanks

Hi again! I don't get how you're able to get only a moderate motion blur (which is what we want) with these settings. I'm using 4K 30FPS XV, Shutter AUTO (although I have tried 1/60 to), ISO 100 (and I also tried 400), and exposure compensation of 0.3. I haven't really tried setting EXC to 2.0, like you suggest. With Shutter AUTO, won't a higher EXC lead to even longer shutter speeds? My issue is that I get *too much motion blur*. I like to leave something on auto, so that all videos are at least exposed more or less usable. I'm also using TBS ND filters (4,8,16). Previously, I tried to use 1/100 shutter speeds and have ISO on auto, which worked on 2.7K 60FPS, but reducing the framerate induces too much motion blur. I've really come to love 4K XV for a higher FOV, but the videos it produces now are kind of unpleasant. Also sidenote, if you're using Linux: github.com/kolole/Runcam-XV-to-SV That way you don't have to manually convert to 4:3 and then superview the video =)
For full control of the amount of motionblur, the worst thing you can do is Shutter AUTO. If you like less motionblur, set the shutter higher, try 4k30fps XV with 1/120 Shutter or 1/240 shutter, but think about your ND Filter, the more you increase the shutterspeed, the less ND Filter you need. Try 1/120 with ND4 and 1/240 without ND Filter. Set the ISO to auto for compensating the exposure and trust me, you want that EV compansation to +2 ;)
@@skyline9893 Thanks for the suggestions, hopefully tomorrow will be at least half sunny;) The reason I asked, is because you got the amount of motion blur I want too, but you had the slowest speed you can use on this camera, which had me confused. I'll start by testing out 1/100 again and ISO auto, and use ND16 when it's really sunny and lower with overcast or evening. With locked shutter speed and auto ISO, won't EV+2 just automatically increase the ISO? Or am I missing some magical features about +2?=P
