Hi Manik, I have to disagree with you on a point. I was in peds residency and the program was very toxic and racist. in fact Im indian and one co resident said many racist things to my face. There were two other IMGs who were from a muslim country and people said many things about them as well. so always keep your guard up and never think anywhere is safe. I was even called a "foreigner" when I went to go get a check up at a doctor's office. So yes be careful because one persons perspective is not anothers.
Hi Manik, Can you please make a video on Residency in Anesthesiology ? If possible, perhaps an interview with an IMG that matched in Anesthesiology? Thanks for the videos.
Great content Manik but wanted to share some pov on the information presented. If you have a target audience that is IMG, resident salary will seem high because you will have foregone the debt accrued by home graduates. If you were a US or Caribbean medical graduate, then no, the resident salary is terrible with nearly 10% interest on half a million dollars of loan. The other aspect is that if you live in a big city like LA or NY, then the cost of living will be nearly what your salary alone. The other thing to note is that you are a psychiatry resident, which is comparatively less grueling in training hours to internal medicine or some surgical specialty. That is perhaps why psychiatry is becoming more competitive as today's generation values work-life balance.

Do they have a public account or a way I can reach out to them? Because as I mentioned already in the initial comment, SubIs can't be done by graduates. They'll need to have a limited/restricted/temporary license issued by the State Medical Board to do it unless it was not a SubI and an observership and then the preceptors allowed the observer to have hands-on xp which is not legal but a very commonly practiced thing in the IMG circle.
