Man people talked carp about Condor, I was a security contractor in Afghanistan 2013-2014 in the Helmand province, the company gave us old Bushmasters AR15 and Glock 19, the equipment was old ARMY IOTV armor very bulky and heavy, they told us we could buy our own plate carrier if we didn't like the equipment, lot of they guys bought nice expensive carriers, there was a guy that was leaving the camp that had a TAN Condor MOPC carrier, l bought it from him for 40 Dollars with all the magazines pouches for my load out, I put my issued plates with no problems, l wore that carrier everyday in the heat and snow for almost a year did not break once, l still have to this day.
Brother that is incredible! Like I said in the video like you, even though these are inexpensive, they are pretty reliable. I have had mine for about 5 years now and nothing besides a few stitches blown is what happened. Thanks for the commend man, truly appreciate seeing those who use their gear and love it!
I believe you the material on that condor is the same as the most expensive carrier. Even the super budget ones are the same material. Some are made a lil bit nicer but thats it
I dont, after spending hundreds of dollars for top of the line plate carrier makers, they were all too small really not at all comfortable, but the Condor and Rothco MOLLE Carrier are very good, and Very comfortable big guys finaly have carriers that fit right. ...add US Made Armor Plates and Soft Armor, you are legit.
I got mopc gen 2 today. Your video is extremely helpful for a first time plate carrier buyer. I literally have to watch your video to know how to put on it
@@b_rizzyy I think I figure out the shoulder strap. The only thing that I have not figure out is the belt buckle around the Cummerbund area. I don't understand if you already have cummerbund why have a belt buckle thing. Fyi, I am using gen 2. I also have to figure out what plates to get since I am pretty soy so I can't carry much weight
I think I would want this stronger armor in the front but I'm glad it fits you because we're about the same size I was worried it was going to be too big for me the last one I got is just too big it doesn't fit tight enough to my body even adjusted all the way down.
Yeah man I have 2 lvl4 plates in it. Just had that thinner plate to show the difference. This one definitely can go smaller yeah, and is pretty comfy! I’ve had that problem too with other ones fitting way to big. Best of luck in your search.
I would say in a shtf situation, this can/would last you a bit. So long as you aren't falling down mountains lol. Otherwise I would definitely get something of better quality

I don't know why you're having a hard problem with inserting the armor, just take the carrier and the armor, put the armor standing and work the carrier just over the armor, then with both hands pull down on both sides of the carrier to insert the armor into the vest. Now if that armor is bigger or larger in size width/height then you do have a problem and probably need a new carrier that can accept the added dimensions of the armor....
Yeah not sure. The carrier is just a bit tight. As you can see by the video it’s just super small. My other carrier is easier. Not every carrier will fit the same I know, and these are standard 10x12 lvl4 plates. I’ll give what you said a shot!

Nice! So to be honest, the shoulder is bulky. So it’s got plenty of room. It does a decent job.

Ha, well it’s kinda always there… but, now I can barely smell it. I’d say after a few months is when it really goes away a lot.

Can you run steel armor without issue? Or is it not a snug enough fit?
I had no issues with steel. A bit more loose but the Velcro straps inside help you secure it enough that it does not move around. It’s pretty sweet!
