    I just used mine for the first time. As a 70 year old geezer with some nasty foot pain because of Plantars Fasciitis, I appreciated that I could go two stories up the ladder to work on gutters with a nice platform waiting for me. No problems at all!

      @@mikelisacarb I think it is great… definitely better than the normal steps on those types of ladders

    Very well-done video. I have two of these platforms for my Little Giant ladder and they work great! It is so nice being able to stand on a flat platform while using a ladder.

      Thank you.. I’ve been thinking about buying a 2nd one. That way I can stand on one and use one to hold stuff.

      That is exactly why I got the second one. It is also useful for two people working on opposite sides of the same ladder at the same time--although that is not probably considered safe to do. Your videos are great--keep up the great presentations!

    My first thought when I saw this was to use it to set tools on since there is no top tray on the multi purpose ladders. I can see that being really handy to stand on.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it is much more comfortable to stand on for a long period of time.
      Sometimes your ladder gets you too far underneath something too when it’s leaned on a wall/house (lights/signs/etc)… it allows you to be out from the wall a little more.

    Excellent timing! - I’ve got the 22’ Gorilla ladder ($99 black friday deal) and have been eyeing this little giant platform - thought it “should” work, but one never knows until tried, so thanks!
    I love my Gorilla as a tall step ladder and the up tight to the wall config, but the weight almost precludes me from using it as an extension ladder - just too heavy and long to maneuver alone. The weight makes it rock solid once up, but just raising and lowering it can be scary - worry about putting it through a window.
    BTW - the werner stabilizer works with my Gorilla. The U bolts to attach it fit around the ladder fine.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I like the Gorilla ladder latches better than the Little Giant… if it had the leveling feet it would be my go to..
      All these ladders are heavy and that is their downside for sure. I just used my Little Giant to fix some downspouts that were 20’ up and it was a bear getting it up there.
      I don’t need a big ladder regularly, so it is nice to take up one space on the truck and have a 22’ extension ladder and a 9’ or so A frame in the event I need either. I do most jobs with a smaller regular ladder.
      Good to hear on the stabalizer… that is something I’ve been looking into getting.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I 100 % agree on that. It’s a good all around ladder to keep on the truck for space. I normally get most stuff done with a smaller ladder, but being able to have an extension ladder and a taller A Frame in the same ladder is great.
      The leveling feet for an extension ladder is what sold me on the one I have. They are great.

    I encourage the bruises on the shins…. Adds character 🤣
    Curious how is it on the back support? I notice when I’m on a ladder for most of the day my back will be in pain. Granted I have a couple herniated disks
    I have gravitated towards the Costco stepladder that has like the water footprint and Trey as well. It’s really helped. It’s more convenient for slimmer design. Obviously the difference is gonna be the height.
    Good shtuff brotato chip 👍🏻

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I always have had the shin bruises.. or at least the dirt that looks like bruises.
      It is for sure better on the back too if you are on one for several hours. That’s the #1 thing that gets me if I work on ladders all day doing something… I feel it in my back.
      I typically only use these ladders outside, maybe inside on bigger job sites… but they are too big inside houses (in my opinion)… plus they are heavy to carry around.
      The leveling feet on the Little Giant one is the bomb though if you use it as an extension ladder… which is how I use this 90% of the time. You can still use the platform like that too.

    Neat idea, although knowing our health and safety over here, we would have to wear a safety harness whilst using this. Interesting the version in the UK appears to be have leveling adjustment and has an orange platform.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it would depend on how/where you use it here.
      Any larger Job site, factory, etc… you would probably have to do the same. In those cases, most people use scissor lifts or scaffolding.
      I typically use these ladders on exteriors of homes only. To bulky to move around inside. (In my opinion)

    If any OSHA inspectors watch your videos, you just gave them a heart attack.
    I try to work directly from the high ladders as rarely as possible. Usually it's extremely inconvenient. I like to do everything properly so I need many tools to even the simplest job. Because there's no ladder or a ladder attachment with enough space for every tool I usually need, working on a ladder means multiples walks up and down. If I may, I use scaffolding or platforms.
    I don't want to be nosy, but don't we need a truck update? I see some new things.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I normally use these ladders outdoors only… too bulky in homes in my opinion.
      I also use it as a platform for my feet way more than for “stuff” I prefer attaching those things to my body… but if I have no fear of what lies beneath I may risk it 😂.
      OSHA never needs to see me work off a ladder.. that “Not a Step” means nothing to me 😂.
      I got that topper a little bit ago. I’m still working on how it’s going to work the best. I got it used and right now there aren’t toolboxes behind the doors, it’s just access to your bed. I originally was going to build boxes but after using how I have been for the last few weeks I think I kind of like how I have it right now… but I am planning on doing an update.
      I’ve made some changes to the inside as well..

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RagedContinuum it’s not surprising for companies in certain situations… they can be pretty dangerous and a liability.
      I wouldn’t be able to do much of my work efficiently without one.
      I was surprised the other day, I was in Home Depot and they actually have rolling staircases now for their customers to use…
      They wanted me to get down 30 2x12x12 boards from about 15’ high in racking down by using it instead of getting them down with a lift. It blew my mind that they would want to risk their customers doing that on a set of rolling stairs.

    • @Stefan_Kawalec
      @Stefan_Kawalec ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MORGANSMaintenance Here every home improvement shop uses rolling staircases and clients are prohibited to even approach them. What you said sounds crazy. All the lawyers must be delighted.
