Yes it’s time for them to start eating wet food and using the litter box. They need a bigger area for play. They will get bored and in trouble if they don’t have enough to do.This is the time they are becoming more active so they need more room. I’d roll up that rug and gate off a good section of the room keep those beds, some toy mice, they make cat tunnels (Amazon),cat tree, shallow litter boxes, plates of wet food several times a day and a shallow bowl of fresh water. Being in that small square box all day with nothing to do at this point is like jail. They have out grown it. Set them free!!!😻

I'm seeing a lot of very good recommendations in the comments about caring for the kittens. I 100% agree with allowing them to explore the house. They can't learn how to be cats if they're stuck in a small corner. Kittens are very hardy and cats have very good maternal instincts, much better than dogs actually. The best thing to do is allow mama to teach them about the world and provide them with things such as litter pans, toys, food/water dishes, etc. Mama generally weans the kittens in her own, but start keeping kitten food in dishes at all times in case the kittens want to nibble. It's also good for mama to get extra nutrients from the kitten food. I would also recommend taking them to the vet fairly soon if you have not already. Same with Sakura to ensure that she is also doing okay. And yes, STOP SCRUFFING! Once they reach a certain weight, it's often painful if you handle them by only their scruff. Handle them the same way you would a big kitty, and make sure that they are used to being handled so that they're easier at the vet's office.

pleas dont put them in the mechanical box, they have been known to squish kittens under 16 weeks due to it sensing no weight in there!! please like so joey can see this, it as scary as it sounds guys!! and i voted on leo, because we love to see the 'underdog' shine and keep winning!!!
black lotus xx he probably won’t let them use the Mechanical box because they are too young and need to learn, Pretty sure everything will be fine. It also needs to be something shallow for them to get in and I think the robot Box is to high too. I understand why you are worried tho

They're at the right age to put a shallow litter box in their area so they can start learning to use it.
Joey you soon need to start holding them as You’d hold them as an adult cat but really gently this is because if you don’t they’ll freak out when there held when there older! 🤗 ps I know there’s nothing a wrong if your cat freaks out when their held (mine does as we got her as a 7 year old rescue from someone else) it’s just easier if they are trained to not mind being held and it’s more practical. Also make sure there is nothing in the room that Can fit in a kittens mouth because as they start exploring more they could find that and chock on that. Like so Joey can see 🙂

Blue Balloons then he would have handled them differently, period. If he wants to get a good behavior for them, make them used to being touched by a human and not like a wet napkin
I'm also concerned now that he's just handling Aries and Gemini and mostly ignoring the rest. He should be getting them used to being cuddled and petted. No one wants a cat that doesn't enjoy those things.

I think they're old enough to explore that room now Joey, like, to have free roam for a lot longer. You gave them a taste of it and then they tried escaping cause they wanted more lol

Sakura is being so vocal bc she is encouraging the kittens to come out and follow her. As they are at the age where she would be taking the out to learn to hunt/find food, water, etc to become independent.
Joey! I think it's time to start giving them wet kitten food as well as a small litter box. The pee stains are probably from the kittens. Also, maybe invest in some small toys and a plastic play pen with higher walls. Nothing that they could easily climb.

Joey, so happy you are feeling better already. The kittens are getting so big!! Leo has proven himself, lol. I voted for him from day one. I also love Sagittarius a lot because he reminds me of my cat who passed away. I miss her a lot.

They get cuter everyday. They do need a bigger space now. They are curious and they want to explore. Yes outlets and cords should not be in their reach because they will chew the cords and stick their little noses and paws in an open socket. Access to water all day is essential. i love how the darker cats (leo, sagittarius, aquarius) were the ones who stayed in the teepee while the striped ones (taurus, gemini, aries) were the first to explore out lol

My family Saved a Kitty across the street that is almost the exact age (Or younger) than ur kittens And if that age is when u give them a liter box, Wet food mixed with Cat formula to make it soft And A bigger area to Roam around

I believe your kittens are around 4 weeks old, if so, you can start feeding them soft kitten mousse and giving them a water bowl 😁 they grow up so fast 😢
And giving them a small litter box
You can introduce a little litter box at 4 weeks and even as young as 3 weeks old. It’s a complete natural instinct to them that young to eliminate waste/ odors that young. I used a short sided cardboard box like a pizza box cut in half and lined with newspapers or pee pads and then very little litter or cut down a small box or use a small plastic container that has short sides or add something as a stepping spot for them to get in and out.
We introduced our kittens pretty young, and one of them started eating litter. Let's just say he was always a little special

Cats have a natural instinct to be clean and go to the bathroom in the litter box, so all you have to do is literally put one near them

I got my kitten from a farm where they only were outside and never used a litter box the day I got him home I only had to place him in the litter box ones and he have never done it anywhere else then the litter box

Joey, you are going to have to get rid of anything you don’t want damaged and things like wires ( including the wire to Socuras litterbox. She will need a normal one) small things that they will try to eat. Also if you keep them in the pen they are going to get destructive. They need toys to play with and a larger area to explore. Also if you don’t get a larger area Muma might actually remove them because she wants them learn. They are old enough for wet food or hard food watered down, a shallow bowl of water, and a tray of litter. Start holding them like an adult cat too or they will be noisy when they are older.
Sorry I don’t like want to be annoying or anything but there are a lot of things you should be doing that you’re not and I just have the kittens best interest in mind.
There’s a flea on the kittens paw! 😱 Play at 5:12 - 5:13 and stare at the kittens left front paw. They should be old enough to regulate their own body heat if you want to give them a short flea bath or try flea treatments ❤️
you've gotta give them a bigger space
It is time to add a litter pan in there with them. They are getting old enough to go potty without mom’s help anymore. You will have a lot more wet spots and soon poop too. So find a low pan (I love disposable aluminum trays from the grocery store) and put a thin layer of litter in it. The low sides make it easy for the babies to get in. The smaller amount of litter means they spill less all over their area! You will need to keep an eye on it though and clean often. Also don’t bother to put sakura’s food dishes up high. If they want to nibble on some pieces it won’t hurt them at all. It won’t be a significant part of their diet, but a good thing for them to try so they adjust to it.
They need to learn liter now or they will end up in the shelter eventually, because they did not learn at an early enough age for it to stick and their owners dump them for not using the liter box (yes, worse case scenario, but happens all to often)
@@stilldawnfae I've never had a cat refusing to use the litter box, not even the savage ones I adopted. It's instinctual, no need to "train" them like you do with dogs.
They want to bury their waste, so neither prey nor predator can smell them.
But yes actually, for hygienic purposes, there should've been a litter tray ages ago. And toys.
Now is probably the time to introduce kitten nibbs and water as well.
@@MrsJolene- you have gotten lucky then, I have and I have volunteered at shelters, it is a common reason for cats to be turned over repeatedly.
@@stilldawnfae It's probably not the pooing or peeing then, but spraying. I had a couple cats in a "pee war" for a while. It's really hard to stop, but you have to understand, it's not peeing. They do it out of fear mostly. If you can get them a safe home, where there are no other cats, where they don't feel threatened, it should stop.
The difference is that they spray while standing up, pee while sitting down. Also idk what it is or how it works but pee smell doesn't even come close to the spray stench. Not to mention how strong it is, it's very hard to get out of fabrics or wood.
I once had a cat that would pee next to his box, but I found he didn't feel safe because there was a lid on it, once I removed it, the problem was solved.

I don't think I wrote it, but I did think Leo would escape first. I love Leo toooooo much and wish I could meet her. Such a precious gem from day one. I just want to hug her and love her forever. Hope when it's time for the little kitties to leave the nest, she goes to a loving family

These kitten vlogs are literally the highlight of my day during this lock down. Thank you so much for sharing with us Joey x little tip from a fellow kitten fosterer, the more the kittens meow when you hold them the more cuddles you should give. Hold them two handed by your chest so they can feel secure by your warmth and heartbeat. If you about to potty train start playing more with them too, get them chasing toys and lasers it'll help them feel more comfortable with the bigger area your introducing them to. Your doing an amazing job with them, they are very lucky to have you. P. S Sakura is a wonderful kitty, so happy you found each other. The fact that she's so chatty with you and let's you handle her babies so much shows her love and trust in you. Keep up the fantastic work xxx

Also, they will start darting too. You'll have to be very careful while opening the door. You'll have a bunch of them darting out, and if the dogs are out...
If they start to try to eat the litter, you might want to try a paper based litter. Clay based can clump in their digestive system and get them blocked up, pretty dangerous. Only because kittens explore with their mouths. Once they are used to the litter, normal litter is fine.
Please stop carrying them by the neck, it can really hurt them.🥺
I think he needs to do a little more research! Carrying them by their scruff can cause life long problems, there's a flea at 5:12 on their paw, and they don't have enough space nor any toys!

Its ok to pick then up by the scruff when they’re still small its only after about 8 weeks that you shouldn’t because theyre body weight gets too heavy for theyre skin the handle!
@@heathermakesvideos9561 I totally agree with you , He uses them for content aswell gets them attached and gives them away for tons of money and holding them by their scruff does cause problems to them such as it will be scared and anxious and loose trust in him and if he does continue it may lead to anxiety and fear and changes behaviour and makes them go away from him since they would be scared of him and they would be scared to be picked up by anyone because he hurt them

Hey, what plans do you have for the kittens once their old enough to go to homes? And also I think Sakura is meowing at you because she wants out of the room and to explore. So maybe get another gate and have a larger section. Poor girl must be going stir crazy in that small space.
I think she's the sort of cat who wants to be with her family all day. If he has to keep her separate from the dogs for her safety, I'm not sure that she's the best cat for him.
