I still want one again after 20 years. I’m even looking abroad at clean non rusted examples in Italy. Wish I’d never sold it back in the day ! Great cars. Thanks for the video.

Had two last edition Mk1 of these, brilliant cars - one red, one black. Wish I had one now. Red was chipped and went like the wind!!

@@Englishsea24 there's a few about, but if I was going to buy a fun car to restore and enjoy, it would be an Esprit S1

That stunning Uno Turbo brings back some great memories from my younger days... I had 2 of them in the 1980`s, absolutely fantastic little buzz bombs, i now own the nearest modern equivalent i can find, an Abarth 595..

Love to hear a Punto GT pull off like that 500 did at the end. Back in the day in my new Focus RS 2.0 Mk1 I had a guy in a Mk1 Uno Turbo pull on me. So lightweight and fast for a 1.3 proving you dont need mega power to still be quick.

Will always remember having a ride in an uno turbo when I was about 9. Never been so excited/scared in a car since!

Your video brings back some great memories, thank you. My first company car (1988) was a red mk1 Uno Turbo (7,500 pnds new incl a Momo steering wheel). I managed to clock up 90,000 miles in 3 years, having the driving fun of my life. At 90k, the turbo cracked and the cost to repair/replace was greater than the 2nd hand value of the car, so the company sold it. Driving was never the same again

I owned one when I was 22 - I'm 55 now and still watching these reviews. These really were incredible cars, and quite civilized around town. Lowered mine by 25mm and improved the overall handling but otherwise left it stock to cope with the fragile engine! Massively underrated cars. I've driven VW, Audi, BMW since but the Uno Turbo ie is still my favourite car by some distance.

I had an 1987 E plate in this exact same colour and was my first car, I loved it. Mine had the digital dash and those factory alloys were polished. Brings back so many memories watching this video. Great video!

Not many of these about anymore - this one’s a keeper, that’s for sure! Not my cup of tea… but a true Italian treasure…… this thing will just keep moving up in value…. Possibly one of the best examples out there “concourse quality”

I love how the UK is really into these. I don't know how it came be, but it seems the most Uno Turbo enthusiasts come from the UK.
I've got an MK2 1.0 Fire engine with whopping 33kW and an MK2 1.4 Turbo Racing. First one was my grandfathers car that I am restoring and spent my childhood in. The second one is just something I've always wanted.
    Cheers from Slovakia

My second ever car, 1987 Mk1 in Grey, janspeed exhaust, dump valve, obligatory Kn57 kit, adored it, probably my favourite car I've ever owned, hence why I'm here. Rust killed it obviously.

Found your channel through a twitter post. What a great car, Antony! And a good story too. I always have loved Italian cars, when I was a kid my uncle had a FIAT dealership so my parents drive FIATs for a long time. My own first car (around 1999) was a 1991 Alfa 33 1.7 ie. Great car! Currently I own a FIAT Bravo 198 150 T-Jet Emotion, which I had chipped at Squadra tuning here in the Netherlands to 172hp. Great car, I love me a comfy sleeper 😃👍🏻🇮🇹 Greets from Amersfoort, the Netherlands

I had a D reg one back in 1995, D531 DPR, absolutely loved that car. It was already pretty frilly around the edges by then, but it went like a scolded cat. I got rid of it after a year or so and replaced it with a Peugeot 205 1.6 GTi which was a big mistake, it felt absolutely gutless after the Uno. Watching this video has made me really want one again, I really wish I had somewhere to store it back in the day and just kept it. The Uno and Subaru Impreza Turbo I had a few years later are the cars I still wish I owned today.

Lovely Vid Ant, and you were spot on, when everything is against you and it seems your swimming against the tide, there's always the Uno to keep you going and every time you drive it, brings a big fat smile on your face, I know where your coming from amico. Looking forward to the next one (so hard not to swear talking about something you really love 😄)

I remember, the dealership I worked for, bussed us all down from Leeds, to the docks, to pick them straight up, straight to a valeters and drive them back…just to get them into the showrooms first…(only to be beaten to it, but they were the first in Yorkshire)

Not only did i use it daily for a decorating business I bought 4 of them new, 1 every year between 88-92 Mk1 and Mk2, Mk2 had the stronger engine, had it boosted to over 1 bar 150hp 0-60 6.8 seconds...........they were great things. You could get ABS as an option they called it Antiskid. Mk1 was prettier

I had one of these as my second car, a red one, registration E53 EMY. I used it whilst at uni, and did a number of mods including a 4” Scorpion exhaust. I remember one day coming out to the car in the uni car park; the exhaust was stuffed with bananas. This was the mid 90’s.

Early MK1 uno turbos had a red fiat logo plastered over black upholstery and from 87 onwards if I recall correctly they had the same one you see in this video, MK2’s had gray checkered upholstery
