    Out of all of the zillions of other reviews, this is the one I was looking for. It looks pretty decent in some of the low light interiors. Thanks for sharing!

      Appriciate it. Yes the camera quality indoors is not bad. Unfortunately it's only 8bit as of right now so let's hope DJI does a firmware update.

      .. definitely agree - very difficult to hear what was being said over the really annoying "muzak" - this appears to be a thing with video editors who seem to imagine that their dubbed sound is more important than allowing us to listen to the content.

    Great review! My house is an old Victorian home which is about 112 years old. I don’t get a very reliable GPS signal inside my house and so if I try to fly the Avata indoors drifts and crashes. If you fly this drone indoors especially in a house that doesn’t have a lot of big windows and I do emphasize big windows, you are taking your chances! I would not fly with anything delicate in the room and I would caution homeowners to put away any delicate items if they are having the interior of their house filmed. If anything I would fly in manual mode unless you are getting very strong signals.

      Update: I just calibrated the bottom sensors/ cameras. You need a laptop and you will point the camera at various pictures to calibrate. You need the DJI Assistant for Avata… after that it seems to work great!

    • @jdeo8776

      Hovering works in normal and sport mode, in manual mode you'd have to worry about thrust and direction ... So hovering will be pilot based in normal/Acro mode.

  • @JaimeAndresMedia

    I’ve been using the Avata for client work and it’s great, however, I find that the camera image quality is lacking, especially in situations where the property is not well lit. The built- in noise reduction absolutely destroys image details, and I wish there was a mode to disable it. Another big factor is that if you are filming a property that is close to an airport (especially if located under the landing path) the drone will not take off the ground even though you are just trying to fly indoors. But I agree with you in that it’s definitely going to affect many FPV pilots, you no longer need to have the experience and skills to fly through a home and make it look good

    I would think that the DJI mini 3 pro would probably be the best for this application especially because the camera turns for the Tik-Tok and TH-cam shorts aspect ratio.

    • @jacklawford6452
      @jacklawford6452 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Prop guards are a must, if you hit a wall with a mini 3 you are doing a LOT of damage you now have to pay for and take a hit to your business' reliability. It's also extremely difficult to get precision shots through a house without an fav configuration. A custom fav drone absolutely demolishes any DJI product for indoor tours.

    I thought it had a one-handed “pistol grip” type controller, as I’ve seen in other videos.

    • @jdeo8776
      @jdeo8776 ปีที่แล้ว

      You mean the motion controller? It does, but you can't maneuver as well with it as you would with the sticks. DJI has some absurd combo packages at the moment, in that they are not including the RC ... so you have to buy it separately. Here in the video, they are using the equipment from the existing DJI FPV (released previously) and binding it to Avata. The pistol grip motion controller is a marketing gimmick for the most part.

    • @STLFromAbove
      @STLFromAbove ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah any TH-cam reviewer uses the FPV controller. You have to buy that separate.

    Hi there ❤ to anyone who own Avata , I would like to ask does it come with “FOLLOW ME” mode ?
    I currently have mini 2 and I can have my drone to “FOLLOW ME” shooting video of myself when I’m running or doing my own thing without hands on holding the controller.
    Since Avata is FPV require goggle to control Everytime. Are there any way to turn on “FOLLOW ME” mode so I can also shooting video of myself WITHOUT goggle on ?

    I'm viewing everything there is on YT about the Avata. As much as I liked what you've shown, I gave it a dislike.
    Yeah, I know it's free for me to watch, etc., but, the reason I disliked it, was, in my opinion, the over use of music throughout the video.
    For the parts where there was no dialogue, it's fine, but, overlaying the music where there was talk, it was very distracting and kept me from focusing on your message.
    Otherwise, much respect!
