1992 Ford RAC Rally testing feature

Behind-the-scenes footage of the Ford rally team as it prepares for the 1992 Lombard RAC Rally with driver Malcolm Wilson and its tyre supplier Michelin. This video was originally produced for Ford Motorsport and was subsequently released on volume eight of the Acceleration series of 'rally video magazines'. It is introduced by David Winstanley and commentary comes from Martin Haven.

Yep, that's definitely Martin Haven, sounds exactly the same on the official Le Mans 1993 review.

None backed up for conversion. To be honest they're fine to convert but a lot of the time the original picture quality wasn't great and they're a total minefield on rights, so I'd have to pull every episode apart before sharing any of it here anyway.

All supplied by people who've had it stored in cupboards or lofts for years. I don't charge for conversion and I get their tapes back to them if they want them returned (some are happy to just have them saved, then binned). Right now, though, I don't have any tapes backed up for conversion.

Never did know why ford used sierra so long escort was ready in 1990?

All rally cars + all special parts have to be homologated by FIA. Maybe the Escort was ready but not yet homologated. Maybe Ford did not yet sell the minimum requiem number of streetcars? So they kept on using the Sierra
