I’m currently building my Sephora spring sale shopping cart and stumbled across this video in my search for a non drying powder to set my under eye and nose area. In a perfect world, I wouldn’t use a powder but I would like to conceal my puffy eyes and larger pores… the Fenty Powder I’ve been using makes my skin feel so dry that I would wash it off if I could! I wonder if it is the talc? Everyone loves the Givenchy powder but that has talc too… anyway! My point is to ask, 11 months later, do you still love and teach for this product? I would love to know your Sephora sale suggestions. Thank you for all your great videos!!
@@TaylorOwen yes I still love it! My Sephora sale recommendations videos are coming! I have one dedicated to makeup and another dedicated to skincare & hair 💚

Hi! I got this powder yesterday and was watching your review, but I noticed something, Mine has a very strong, strange scent. Sort of moisty.... did you notice a similar scent when you got it? It has a really long shelf life, so I don't think it's gone bad, but the scent took my surprise. I noticed it when I was applying it.
Clean beauty brands would do well to remember that oily skin exists. As do people who simply do not want to be dewy. I appreciate Ami Cole for making a truly mattifying powder.
Thanks for the review! You’re so good at highlighting every detail.I love Ami Cole, but wasn’t planning to purchase the loose powder until you showed the spongy/bouncy-screen on top, with the blotter. I’ll be purchasing it.
@@TheCleanBeautyCode yes, it did. I'm transitioning from my current HG setting powder which is the Givenchy Prism Libre powder and I want to get a more sustainable option (which performs well)
Your video popped up after searching ami cole powder, and just wanted to say…Love your energy, you are so gorgeous, absolutely glowing, can’t wait to see more from you! Just subscribed!
Hi! Very helpful comparisons to the other powders. The component for the Ami cole powder wins after the Ilia powder mishap.😬 I do have the Kosas Cloud setting powder which I really like too. Ami Cole seems like a likely buy.
Oooh thank you for the comparisons! Range Beauty's powder remains my one to beat, but in my experience it's lighter/more finely milled and less pigmented (or maybe just a better shade match? I have cushiony but maybe pillowy would have been better) compared to the Kosas. It could be that I have an easier time getting little product with a loose powder versus a packed powder, but I find that the Kosas starts off more matte than the smooth out but doesn't stay matte throughout the day, while smooth out stays pretty much the same all day. I haven't tried the Saie (microsmooth is the only radiant powder I've tried, but I don't think it's marketed as a setting powder per se). Anyway, this one looks really promising! The component alone has piqued my interest, looks so great but also practical. The biggest drawback for the smooth out is I don't love traveling with a loose powder (and I have the old packaging with the plastic sifter) but the Ami Colĕ looks like it might be good for that, too. Glad you love the translucent! I never would have considered it had you not demo'd it, I would have skipped straight to the yellow.
I find it blurring (a lot of powders that mattify I find blurring to a certain extent!) I don’t have very big pores but it helps smooth out my complexion when it’s looking textured!
@@TheCleanBeautyCode Makeup is my hobby and powder is one of my favorite things to play with. I'm definitely not in need of new powder but I'm always up for trying a new one :) Also I just prefer to use talc-free powders and this fits the bill!
love your vidz! was between the saie and ami cole powder and now im maybe leaning more towards ami cole!!! i love their skin tint and lip oil, but use the saie slip tint more since it has spf. oh gosh, would you recommend ami cole over saie for setting powder?
I love both the powders! The saie is really nice and has a more radiant finish and the ami Cole is more matte and has no radiant particles in it. I would say go with the one that has the finish you prefer! Both are great and would be great additions to your makeup bag 💚
Have you tried the ami cole setting powder? What are your thoughts?

The ami cole, Ilia and range beauty powders are perfect for people looking for more matte skin!

That makes me so happy to hear!! I am so glad you liked the video 💚 If you get the Ami Cole Powder I hope you love it as much as I do
Love the powder! So good for a loose powder, it doesn’t fly everywhere. Thanks again for the review.
It’s so nice that the powder is contained! It’s truly game changing because normally I’m not a big loose powder fan since it gets everywhere

I’m glad you liked the video! The stopper in the ami Cole one is great. It’s def worth checking out 💚
