I think an axe works on the officer if you have a theme like space vikings or maybe some sort of urban assault force. You are right about the weapon teams needing some terrain to tell that story. I think with two minis on the base it really needs to sell a story more than a single.
I was abou to ask if we could expect a Battle Report about GF Star Quest. Also, I don't know if you meant to, but everyone should know that anyone that supported on October at the tier 2 level will be receiving the files for the 4 heroes and a villain mini, even if they've cancelled their subscription after october, because they were meant to be release alongside the rulebook in october, but they ran late.
I have the total opposite opinion on the HDF. The tanks look great, the infantry are meh. There are so many sci-fi soldier stls and even plastic kits out there that the generic look isn't doing it for me. Except the dog. The dog needs a weapon though. :x Speaking of which, I do like the modern rifles. Agreed on the heavy weapon teams. Them being doubled up doesn't make sense as a special weapon in a unit, them not being in cover or otherwise stationary means they don't look like a heavy weapon team. Related to this, I noticed in army forge "conscript" was changed to "recruit" and "orge" is now a robot, and robot grunts were added. I don't know why they made those changes or if there's a way to see the older list, but I assume that's a hint of the stls coming in future.
Im still totally in love with the rule sets being put out by OPR, but I am done with their mini's, so many things don't make sense with the current ranges being released. I may renew my T2 patreon IF (and its a bif IF) some more thought goes into the designs. The tank for example.....where does the gunner sit that operates the gun installed in the track well, where does the rest of the gun go for that matter ?!? The APC armor skirt is missing directly over the crew compartment and the track system looks like it was designed by someone that has zero understanding of how a tracked vehicle even works. Why does it have 1950's style wings on the back ? Is it a Cadillac ? The only tanky thing thats on it is the fuel barrel from a T-72......And the Wood Elves...OMG....Giant Canary's and the most non-sensical infantry designs yet, look at the arrows and boots....
@@Good.Nuff.Gaming Im mainly doing Firefight warbands and HDF are up next. I am going to use the OPR infantry models but if I were to build an HDF army I'd use the Station Forge Grim Guard 100%
A little harsh. But I agree with some of this. They struggle with making good looking vehicles. Im not sure why because I really like their infantry models. The high elf tanks and the vehicles for the eternal dynasty come to mind. That being said they are doing alot for a little and the "not take myself too seriously" is definitely a thing they do. The problem is when you want a serious army the options are lacking.
@@alexklunder4374 Honesty is often harsh, and thats all Im doing. Im not the only one that has had complaints openly. Thats part of why I canceled the patreon, the bad minis are one thing, but releasing a preview, getting a lot of negative feedback about it. and then releasing it as is, well that rubs me the wrong way.
The axe not finesse enough for a human? I wouldn't say that around anybody French. Considering their whole country is named after the Francisca the axe that their ancestors used to conquer all of Gaul. Mr. I'm going to start all of my videos with La Marseillaise.
That's a hatchet, though isn't it? And even so, hacking isn't finesse. Not named for the Franks? The tribe that settled it? As for the Marseilles, that's for Waterloo, not me.
@@Good.Nuff.Gaming Actually I will correct myself the Francisca was named after the Franks. But still an axe not a hatchet. They weighed in at around 1.3 lbs. that's about the same as a gladius.

I watched these before, but even more appreciated now I'm on OPR patreon member ❤

Hey that's good news. Thanks.
Still can't figure out why no one seems to have an issue with the weird boy scout camping trip backpacks
Didn't really get a good look at them from the pics.
TEHY ARE PRODUCED IN POLAND NOW?!?!?!?!?! SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY BUY THEM WITHOUT A 30% MARK UP?!?!?! HELL YEA LETS GET THE ARMIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

OPR has released drawings for the robots. If they removed the ogres for those I'll be a bit upset.
@@Good.Nuff.Gaming Someone uploaded a community book "classic earth defense force" which has the original list.
Where can we buy the two player box sets?
That's a good question. They may have them from the Etsy store?

Are you going to do HDF? Where would you recommend to get alternative models?

Rampart made some city defenders that are quite good too.
