it's great to see Redondo playing he's like a magician on the field
This was original Champions League football.
Thanks Real Madrid, Manchester United, Juventus and Bayern Munchen for the memories of 2000s
Fernando redondo and raul gonzalez on fire in this game
Yeah man !
Both unbelievable players
You forget how many great players Real had over the years
Roberto Carlos and Ivan Campo too!
Beckham scored that consolation goal, but Carlos made him look substandard most of the game
What a classic UCL match
United had a goalless first leg at Madrid. No away goal scored and once United conceded a goal at Old Trafford, they need to score at least twice to advance, after conceding the first goal, they conceded two more goals shortly after the break. At that time, they need to score at least 4 times to advance and they can score only two. Real Madrid eliminated the title holder and went on to win the trophy even they finished fifth in La Liga and forcing 4th place team transferred to UEFA Cup.
One of the best games I’ve ever seen.
It was the game I started to become a real fan of Madrid, specially because of Redondo
7:10 Redondo doing his superman shit.
Yeah! I was trying to do that just after this game)
Redondo the Argentine blood 💚
And goalkeeper casias the spanish blood 💚
Old is gold!!
1:59 - The real David Beckham in the stands
Raul ..... like this legendary player
the camerawork was superb back then even without HD stuff
I remember watching this. Madrid were awesome but United looked dangerous at times. Redondos skill for the 3rd was sublime.
Brilliant video, Redondo was my favourite why couldn’t they find a place for him and Zidane in the team the following year🙄
He wanted to leave after Perez got elected.
Makelele much better than redondo anyway. Quicker and better tackling
Check celta vigo team that thrashed real madrid 4 0... Makelele and mostovoi ran rings around madrid this season
@@stadiamak692 shite
@@raycroal you obviously know nothing about football.
Check the classic Ajax vs real madrid back whem Ajax got applauded by the bernabeu crowd... Finidi george ran the show and ran passed redondo like he wasnt there.... Redondo was good, but no where near claude makelele or ngolo kante
@@stadiamak692 No way, Redondo was better in almost everything, technically, ordering the team, game view, smarter... Makelele was a great stopper, that's all, and it was enought, he played his rol perfectly.
Remember United had a poor record in two-legged tie in UCL after having a goalless draw away in 1st leg. This match repeated the fate of what happened at the same stage in 1997-98 vs Monaco, 0-0 a, 1-1 h, (1-1, lose on away goal). Actually, they had this result in 6 occasions and only advance in 3 occasions (two of the elimination was vs La Liga teams: one was 17/18 vs Sevilla, 0-0 a, 1-2 h) and won 1-0 at home vs Barcelona in 2008 and won 2-0 at home vs Inter (coached by Mourinho) in 2009
REAL TO PRAY FOR CASILLAS...
Yo quiero de nuevo este Madrid imparable.
The era of real madrid from 2000-2006 had a great team but always seems to get screwed by it's weak defense
❤️❤️❤️
6:08 is he mocking him haha
But what they did won league year after uc again league not just that but one european cup 3 times in five years im united fans so they were not that bad
MU's first time loss in Old Trafford since 98/99
0:30 too powerfull
ia there a way yo get the full match
I've got it
@@classicsportclassictiyl8547 ok I chek
@@classicsportclassictiyl8547 I could not find it can you help me
If there was VAR at the time, that Madrid's player would have been sent off for that handball plus a penalty kick with more than half the match to go. United were better most of the game, but that unlucky own goal was decisive. Madrid felt relief and were clinical while United were nervous when they had to be clinical.
HALA MADRID
Why Man Utd always got pounded by Madrid in UCL?
Real robbed this match.
Spanish teams*
united always got robbed everytime they play against real, latest Nani red card
@@sharingaccount584 Even Roy Keane admitted that Nani's red card was absolutely deserved and fair, and the referee is still to blame for fanatical idiots. In a similar situation at the Europe Cup, another referee forgave the player from the Netherlands, but later admitted that it was a gross mistake on his part - such a dangerous game at that time, by all standards, was already considered deserving of a red card.
@@johnpreston8621 I doubt you saw those two matches, because Nani was focused on the ball and didn't notice Arbeloa, while De Jong was targeting opposing players. You should also not close your eyes to the case of Benzema, who was not given a card while doing the same thing. such a hypocrit
This is why real madrid is the biggest club in the history...Ac milan, Bayern, Liverpool, Barca and Man utd are in thier primes, but all have got fucked by Real Madrid in that time and in their stadiums
Real so tinha lado esquerdo ai
don Raullllll. 5th laliga kicking out the team who finished their league as 1st by 15 points! Laliga always > the prem
Madrid cheated.
Miss the Gamestyle of Redondo
Hala Madrid!!
😊☺😗😊..
RAUUUUUUUL7....
Just a bad day in the office on this day otherwise they misfired alot
What is that man utd player number 7 doing? Running here and there??? What's his position does he knows what is he's doing?
'that man utd player number 7' is called David Beckham, one of the best RMs of all time, and scored a brilliant individual goal at 8:20? not his best overall performance, but give him some respect.
@@sjn6704 nonsense.... Best of all time? In his book he declared nothing can ever comes in the way of money when going to Madrid... And when he reaches Madrid only then all of those watching football saw he can dribbled the ball! All these while he was running with the ball and win corners by just blindly Cross because he knew the ball will go out... His freekicks?2002 ronaldhino made it easy to score against England... Wc commentators mentioned "walking back to his position" and papers mentioned worst player in wc.... Pele mentioned he's more to model with lots of endorsements than a football player.... At all times....respect because his looks and luck brought him where he is.... To each and Individual....
3-3-2-2
Redondo
Halla Madriddddddd.
Hala cheaters
@@priyadarshidash4353 8:12 That’s cheating?
Iker Casillas 😎😎
Madrid defender playing handball in the box and not awarded penalty? Classic
Classic Madrid.
8:12 penalty, quedaba 3-4
Rapaz Ivan Campos um a menos perdidinho kkkkk
4:28 handball, penalty, red card. But nothing?
Yeah ,i don't why that guy even put his hand there ,because anyway it was not going to be a goal .
Fucking bastards real Madrid .
will it be a red?? , because he is not the last player
@@priyadarshidash4353 It's deliberate hand ball that has denied a clear goal scoring opportunity. That's a penalty and red card.
@@hurley31 What about 8:12 ?
@@Raul-mo8vk what about it? it's a clean challenge.
August see how balance that Real team is you know an actual defense with an actual defensive midfielder and you know not just the top heavy team created by an idiot businessman that's just trying to create the justice League yeah that's what the galacticos could have been.
This Madrid team was a joke in 2000. Won the ucl by pure luck. Finished 5th in la liga. One of the worst Madrid sides. The galácticos were way better 2002 2003 2004. Problem was lack of depth injuries and useless coach. Pérez brought the BEST in the world. A joy to watch
@@bangoagroupmadrid1 how did they win the cl by pure luck?
@@MM-dm4xj im Madrid fan. The 8th european cup we son was one of the worst Madrid sides ever. They play 3 good games all that season. Bayern killed us 4-1 and 2-4 in december. But somehow we beat them 2-0 in semifinals with Anelka scoring his only 2 goals in the entire season
@@bangoagroupmadrid1 But you still won easily in the final against a tough Valencia team. This maybe wasn't the Galacticos but they sure had heart. Football was a joy to watch back then. Still remember this match like it was yesterday.
@@bangoagroupmadrid1 they had don Raul the Mr UCL back in the day
Hala Madrid..
Mu deserves the qualification
4:28
El Madrid robando xd
Nunca pierden sus costumbres
Y en el minuto 8:12 ? Eso también debió ser penalti
😂
