Why not just include with the quad lock already. Let's be real, these are plastic products that could not be costing you more than 10 dollars per mount to produce, and you cannot include that dampener for the already 90 bucks that one will pay for the mount?

Hi Raffy, vibration issues can happen with any kind of mounting solution, the sensitivities lie within the phone itself 😐 That's also why we are not including the dampener in every single kit, many customers are still using devices that do not have these issues, so it would not make much sense to have this extra accessory!
Maybe this will change in the future, if the phone manufacturers keep releasing sensitive devices.

Phones are designed to be held on a stable hand and not on a vibrating mount. Not to bash on the product but if you are designing a product to focus on the motorcycle rider demographic, you would think that it would be designed to fix the issue with vibration, which will happen, right?
Some of the recent smartphones are built with sensitive optical image stabilization, this only started appearing a couple of years ago, our mounts have never caused any vibration related issue before more sensitive smartphones were built!
That's why we leave the option available to our users, if you are using a sensitive device, you can grab our vibration dampener, otherwise you can just enjoy our products as they are 👌.
As I said in my previous comment, if the smartphone market keeps on releasing hyper sensitive device, maybe we will reconsider how our vibration dampener is implemented.

I had a quad lock stem mount on my r1 and my phone (iPhone 12) got the camera stabiliser damaged within the first few rides
I ended up using my phone insurance and getting the phone replaced but before that I got the dampener and it’s been 2 years and the phone is still working without a problem

Using the Dampener for 2 years now on my motorcycle with Iphone 11 Pro Max. Camera etc. is all 100% fine and working!

The 11 pro max did not have the ois (optical image stabilizer) it’s the 13 and up that have the issues with the camera not functionally

What are you riding?
Drove a simple street route of 8 min with the vibration dampener and without and installed a vibration app on my phone and my simple test shows that the phone shakes less without the vibration dampeners. Not sure what to think at this point. Also the phone visibly shakes less with out the dampeners. I would add images but can’t on this thread, however, Recommend you guys all run your own independent test.

my phone without the dampener looks like the one on the left. when i put the dampener on it shakes so bad you cant read anything on the screen. IDK, think il just take them off at this point.

I just installed my QuadLock on the motorcycle today. I haven’t got to try it out yet but had trouble positioning the mount to hold the phone properly because the way the bars are shaped.
Hi Jeff! Sorry to hear that! When we tested our Handlebar Mounts we made sure to test them on as many different bars as possible, but we can't test on every single type of bar out there! So there may be some compatibility issues there, that I suggest discussing with our support team!

Would a tabet or portable monitor mounted to a QuadLock dampener handle the vibrations when mounted to a bicycle or bike?

Not understanding why the damper side isn't moving . Cause it definitely moves a lot as well .

@Quad_Lock yes I know , I have the system with damper on my motorcycle. Still a lot of movement, maybe due to using the wireless charging head as well . So with the weight of that plus the phone there's more movement.

The thing is, not all motorcycles has the same vibration frequency. That being said this item can work pretty well but not on all bikes.

Hi 👋🏻 When you install our vibration dampener it is totally normal for the kit to wobble a bit, the movement you experience is the dampener doing its job, absorbing harmful vibrations!

It prevents constant vibrations that you can’t really see and that will damage your phone, it will wobble around more than without it but this is what’s it’s meant to do
@@Quad_Lock I'm experiencing the same thing as the user above. My phone does shake/wobble quite a bit (and looks more like the phone on the right in the example, than the non-moving/still phone on the left in your example). Should I be concerned that the product is not doing as intended?

Have y’all done any research if necessary on mountain bikes? Or is it just the high frequency vibrations that have been causing issues?
We haven't heard of this issue on mountain bikes and have only found the issue from those high-frequency vibrations!

When i'm installed dampener I felt the vibration is more than normal. Is it correct?
You might be seeing a bit of movement, which is to be expected as the Vibration Dampener will only dampen the very specific high-frequency vibrations of a motorcycle's engine! However, if you are seeing a lot of movement, then please reach out to our support team!

Hi Lucas! It's not so much the speeds as the type of vibration! The Dampener was designed for the high-frequency vibrations that come from a motorcycle's engine, so we haven't tested it or designed it for use on anything other than a motorcycle! So we can't say if it will have any impact on a bicycle!

If you don’t get the Damper from Quadlock it WILL completely mess up your camera I can’t stress enough to get the Damper
Hi there, that is a good suggestion if you have a newer sensitive device, we would also recommend fitting the Vibration Dampener to your kit. Some newer smartphones require additional protection when mounted on your motorcycle!

This a highly misleading video. You can see the bar vibrating which shows that you stabilised the image relative to the phone on the quad lock mount making it look much more stable that it would be.
Hi Mark! The Mounts shown here are both Quad Lock mounts. They are both our Handlebar mounts, the only difference is the one on the left has the Vibration Dampener. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee the camera won't get damaged, but our accessory has seen a 99.5% success rate with our customers.

If you are going to spruik a "success rate" of 99.5%, then that to me sounds like a guarantee.
And I should be reimbursed for at-least 2 phones, right?
Otherwise it seems like misleading, irrelevant, statistics... Which really don't have any real-world bearing, as you unlikely have real world, non-curated numbers.
My local bike store has actually stopped recommending your vibration dampener because of the amount of customers who have still had their cameras fail... That doesn't sound like 99.5% to me.
With our dampener being produced as a way to combat the device flaws, there’s always the potential that the issues introduced by the phone manufacturer could be slightly beyond our attempts to minimise it, along with the external factors that could have introduced the problem. However, still very odd to hear this occurred from all of our data and feedback on our Dampener.
Only working in the socials team, I am unable to investigate further detail with you, but do strongly recommend talking with our Support Team who have the ability to do so.
