Chad Townsvilles succession plan will be Tom Duffy. He’s the 7 for the Northern Pride in the Queensland Cup, they’re currently top of the table and Tom could very well win player of the year. He’s a former Australian schoolboy who’s learned off Chaddy over the years. Having Chad around has been great for his development, another part of his time at the Cowboys that has been underrated

Hey lads love the show been listening since the start. Wahs fan here just wanted to offer some insight into the sell outs. Last year they started to doing promos where if the wahs won, the tickets to the next home game were $10 each for the GA south stand for a period of 24 hours. Those tickets are $20 normally which is already cheaper than games I’ve been to in aus but the fact they do them for $10 has meant that I have gone to nearly every single home game this season and last season for bugger all and got heaps of mates that had never been to come along to games as well. People spend on food and drink when they’re there anyway and because the tickets are GA it encourages people to turn up early to get good seats. Not sure if you guys knew about this but for me it’s a huge part of the success of the game day experience and ticket sales in the last two seasons at mt smart.
OG. In the mid-2000s, I played for South Newcastle juniors. When we played against Central Charlestown, there was this big bean pole islander kid with an afro, and somehow word spread among us boys that he was your cousin or brother and if we hit him too hard you'd come and beat us up. No idea if he was related to you or it was just good old child stupidity, but I remember putting him on his back and then having a knot in my 14 year old gut because I thought you were on your way to get me for the rest of the day. Could barely get through my happy meal. Your fearsome reputation was legendary!

Also your comparisons on the greatest team in the past decade or so, NRL has salary caps unlike those other teams? The Storm dynasty, or Roosters for a while or now the current Panthers could be longer if wasn't for Salary Cap. Thus, Storm could be just as good against Patriots IMHO. Luv the show btw 😅 duration doesn't matter, I'm still tuning in to listen to your perspectives. Keep on going 💪💯
I think the Warriors have the biggest gulf between loyal fans and bandwagon fans. Re the most successful teams, win percentage competitors would be the All Blacks, and the most successful franchise competitor would be the Crusaders, with 14 titles since 1996
Tbf tickets for the warriors games are quite cheap 😂 and I feel like they save seats for partnerships bc there’s always a section that’s quite empty. My uncle works for an alcohol company and his work were gifting tickets they got to a wahs game a couple months ago and I think that was through partnership
BMX is a legit sport and has been around for ages, it just wasn't main stream. Saya Sakakibarra is a LEGEND!!! and her story and what happened to her brother is one of the best Olympic stories ever. Hey manly all time greats, how good was footy in Perth sold out crowd atmosphere was great and the premier Roger cook turned the lights of the stadium off and asked all to stand with him flashlights on and chant “perth nrl!”

Obviously Walker and Dearden are in the running, but Fogarty as an older head, sound kicking game + game managing half, is he a shout? Interested to hear ya thoughts. Cheers lads
It's hard to compare rugby league win percentages to football in particular, top football teams in Europe can play 60 games in a season if they make cup finals across the board
As we talk about the Olympics do you think you boys could organise like an nba all star weekend with the nrl teams one weekend, but do some of the main athletic Olympic events like 100m 200m 4x100m sprints, long jump high jump? Would like to see roosters manly 4x100m I think it could show cast some of our athletes
IMO big Mase is well off the mark in terms of Reynos greatness in the last 10 years. Although he wasn’t a start player in that GF team. He’s been in multiple prelims and GF’s. Although he hasn’t brought us Bronxnation fans the big trophy. The control and touch of class to end sets or try assists last year was insane. This wasn’t just a one year wonder for him. Over the last 10 years, there’s hardly been a more consistent 7
L1 from day 1 here. Got a question for OG for the preview. In your prime who would you least rather run straight at off kick off, out of hass, Tino, NAS, JWH, JFH or a shmokeyyy one jurbo. Personally fuck running it at JWH while he’s fresh. Love the poddy I tune in every ep, replaced kempy because I can’t tune in for those 3 and half hour poddys anymore. Keep up the good work, storms year baby ❤
Comment on the Dolphins v Easts game on Friday night. With 12:40 to go in the first half. Tedesco tackles Bostock 5 metres out, is on the ground when the ball is played to Plath, makes no effort to mark up and then tackles Plath less than 5 metres out. How in the world is that not a professional foul? Everyone in the universe saw that except the Ref and the geniuses in the Blinker. Not saying that it would have altered the result but with the Dolphins behind 18-12 and Tedesco in the bin it could well have been a Dolphins win. As it was it was a howler and certainly hasn't done them any favours trying to get into the finals. If it even gets mentioned by Annesley I'd like to see how he explains why Tesco stayed on the field other than to say "Sorry Wayne, we stuffed you up again". No surprise that he didn't. A bit of perspective on the Titans. In the first half of the season they lost to Raiders by 1 point, Manly by 2, Storm by 2 and Knights by 4. They’ve also beaten the Warriors (twice) Cowboys, Broncos (twice), Sharks and the Dolphins. I’d call that a pass! On the Broncos. I have been a solid supporter from day one and definitely not a fair-weather fan. What has changed this year, especially in the last few months is their attitude. It's all very well to get excited by Walsh but I (and a shedload of mates) now find myself not watching for the next bit of brilliance but for how they're going to make their next cockup like passing into the grandstand or a metre forward out of dummy half etc. etc. You can't blame Kevvie for that crap. Redcliffe now owns Brisbane - there is absolutely no comparison between the Broncos and Dolphins when it comes to grunt effort. Maybe get rid of mirrors in Broncos sheds?
Boys, love the pod. As a Raiders fan I’m saddened to see the Corey Horsburgh situation result in him seeking an early release. But fans are worried about another player that appears stuck in NSW Cup, and that’s Hohepa Puru. The kid came here on a train and trial early last year and was playing first grade (for the suspended Horsburgh) late last year. To refresh the memory, he got knocked out first minute of the final against the Knights. From the train and trial last year was promoted to a Top 30 Roster Spot and has an option on his deal for 2025 which I believe is mutual, he has also been named captain of the NSW Cup side. The Raiders loving public has fears that if he doesn’t play grade anytime soon, he will look to leave. I do have a few questions off the back of this. If I was to compare it to a Horsburgh situation it definitely isn’t the same, we can understand why Corey isn’t happy because he has the runs on the board, played in a Grand Final, played Origin, looked to take a leap into being a real senior member in the side. Compared to a player is a young kid and the club he’s at has a long term plan for him but the plan doesn’t look like first grade for now. My question is this: Mase would work closely with situations like these at the Bulldogs with pathways - But many fans would believe that Puru’s form should be rewarded. So how does a club look at a potential next man up, and let them know if there was an opportunity to make the jump and it didn’t happen for them, what factors go into keeping them buying in to what the development plan would be? As in saying, if he isn’t getting an opportunity now, what would be the goal in his development plan before the club looks into activating a mutual option?
Hey boys. I have to call you out on excluding Bellamy from the coach of the year talk again. You yourselves said the Storm squad isn't in the top 3 of the comp this year. They have had a tonne of injuries to key players all year. Yet here they are staring another minor premiership in the face - at worst a top 2 finish. If we are only looking at this year in isolation - then Bellamy has taken a squad of no names (apart from the spine & NAS) to a top 2 finish. If we want to look at previous years as a factor - you could argue the effort to stay at the top and improve is more difficult than rebounding from the bottom. Every other club has had at least 1 rebuild and a period of time out of the finals in the last 10 years. Penrith missed the finals in 2019 before their run of 5 grand finals. Roosters finished 2nd last in 2016. I'm not even a Storm fan but the numbers are there for us all to see. Since 2003 when he started at the Storm - Bellamy has made the finals 21/22 times now - only once missing in 2010 due to the salary cap penalty. That includes 9 grand finals - 5 grand final wins including the 2 stripped ones - and 8 minor premierships including the 3 stripped ones. The closest to that would be Bennett's 1st stint at the Broncos - who made the finals 17/20 times - including 6 grand finals - 6 grand final wins and 4 minor premierships. The continual ability to have the Storm at the pointy end is unrivalled. Look at the players he improves when they go down there - time and time again the likes of Blore and Katoa improve under his coaching. By any measure he is the clear standout for coach of the year for me.
Dolphins are huge in Perth. Dolphins have had 2 home games now and there’s a big push here for the dolphins to be everyone’s team over here. Heaps of roosters jerseys too cause Fremantles rugby league team is called the roosters so south Perth are default roosters fans. Joey wasn’t anywhere near the people enough to be making those sorts of calls
Excuse my ignorance here but it was a thought after hearing the To’o & Penrith take.. Do you think there could be a world where if players have been brought through a clubs junior system and pathways programme that if clubs still want them and the player wants to stay, are allowed to regardless of the salary cap? Pay them as much as they are worth. Keeps them in the club they grew up loving and close to home should they want to stay. On the flip side strictly enforce the salary cap on players not from those junior clubs in local areas? Keen to hear your thoughts. I know it’s just the way it is but if a club has helped developed the player into who they are perhaps there could be a way they can see the long term benefit of it, as opposed to the player having to leave and then that benefiting another club that had nothing to do with their growth.
Hey boys once again since yous didn’t mention it blaize signed to play 5/8 he’s played there his whole career he’s not a winger, centre or fullback he wants to play 5/8
where did Triple OG get his stat for storm being the most successful team since '06? crusaders definitely take the cake for that one 10 super rugby championships since 05'
Patriots success is impressive, but they play 17 round robin games and then 4 play-off games.. theres no rep footy in season or end of season.. and the players play less than half of the game lol. I'll take uncle wiremu's fact that the storm are top 😂
Less go Doggies. Mase who do you rank as the best Doggie to play for the club? Mine was and always be Baa, plenty of other greats but I'd love you opinion.
i think the main thing that denotes how well games sell for losing teams is the game day experience. i agree souths fans are die hard but the Accor stadium regular season game day is objectively one of the worst in the league, parking, eating and atmosphere, that stadium isnt built for NRL like alliance, Combank and suncorp are. Its good for Grand finals as atmosphere lifts it but the seats have very crap viewing

Dam Triple OG! First acting, now you're entering the stats game 😅😅 WIll look into this
Re the most successful teams, win percentage competitors would be the All Blacks, and the most successful franchise competitor would be the Crusaders, with 14 titles since 1996
After sj came 2nd for dally m last year, hasn’t been the same.
Manute bol's old fella would count as a extra playa.
RIP bigman
Tbf tickets for the warriors games are quite cheap 😂 and I feel like they save seats for partnerships bc there’s always a section that’s quite empty. My uncle works for an alcohol company and his work were gifting tickets they got to a wahs game a couple months ago and I think that was through partnership
BMX is a legit sport and has been around for ages, it just wasn't main stream. Saya Sakakibarra is a LEGEND!!! and her story and what happened to her brother is one of the best Olympic stories ever.
I guess it's different for me because I grew up racing BMX. I also grew up playing Rugby League as well.
They are introducing new sports to stay relevant with the next generation. Surfing is long over due.
Hey manly all time greats, how good was footy in Perth sold out crowd atmosphere was great and the premier Roger cook turned the lights of the stadium off and asked all to stand with him flashlights on and chant “perth nrl!”
Hey boys in reality was there any actual coaches available for the Eels jobs. Heard people saying they should've gone for one, but all that seemed available or if reach were madge, Holbrook and others I can't think of. Love the poddy from you both. Let's OJ!
Those sports are international sports. They’re played all over the world.
Big red played for the dogs on a loan deal he was awesome
Juventus won 9 domestic titles in a row between 2011-2020 and 4 Domestic cups
Bayern Munich won 11 domestic titles in a row between 2012-2023, 12 Domestic cups and 2 Champions Leagues
tug-o-war should be in the Olympics
Hey lads, big fan of the poddy.
Question:
If Chez hangs up the boots for origin, is Fog in the conversation for halfback?
Obviously Walker and Dearden are in the running, but Fogarty as an older head, sound kicking game + game managing half, is he a shout? Interested to hear ya thoughts. Cheers lads
It's hard to compare rugby league win percentages to football in particular, top football teams in Europe can play 60 games in a season if they make cup finals across the board
Willy with the signing of Josh Curren changed the defence other the dogs? Because now there defence was mirror immage or the Warriors last year?
💯💯 Olympics gone to woke gettttt foooooked
Most Centres are left side or right side specialist. Critta has proven to be specialist on either side 🙏

Great game at Belmore. Shame about the Raiders drummer being attacked on his way to the car.
Saying you hate the Sharks on a big platform like this is a net negative. This is a great show. Be better.
I remember going to belmore in the 90's as a kid, saw about 10 fights and a stabbing, yeah it's crazy and not in a good way
Are use making an appearance to the wahs vs bulldogs
Dolphins are huge in Perth. Dolphins have had 2 home games now and there’s a big push here for the dolphins to be everyone’s team over here. Heaps of roosters jerseys too cause Fremantles rugby league team is called the roosters so south Perth are default roosters fans. Joey wasn’t anywhere near the people enough to be making those sorts of calls
He must’ve not heard of the Crusaders
When Curren went to the Bulldogs. Did he share Warriors defence with Bulldogs? Because you have to admit this is mirror image o the Warriors?
The more I see Sam Hughes play, the more he reminds me of Darren Britt.
If he even gets to be half as good as Britt, Dogs are laughing.
wahs got fisher coming over next year dayumnnnnnn we still good
Loved the Olympic chat. Totally agree, I'm not into it.
Whats willies thoughts on the dogs fan bullying the raider fan
Bulldogs fave son you forgot Josh Reynolds ❤
11:52 / 2:01:49 lmfaoooo🤣
Not a bad take on the Olympics.
#freeluki
thumbs up boys
Skippa Critta👍
no chance flanagan gets coach of the year, a team who gets pumped by 40+ every other week compared to the dogs who are in the contest every week.
Celtic and Rangers in the Scottish Premier League are always top two. Pretty sure Rangers are most successful team in sport.
100% Rangers most successful team in sport, not sure about the last 20 years, maybe still goes to Celtic
Hey boys once again since yous didn’t mention it blaize signed to play 5/8 he’s played there his whole career he’s not a winger, centre or fullback he wants to play 5/8
He tore the h matt's and sg ball up at 6, in the games I seen
@@maxfish4770 had someone tell my last week I was delusional for saying he was going for luais vacant spot 😂
where did Triple OG get his stat for storm being the most successful team since '06? crusaders definitely take the cake for that one 10 super rugby championships since 05'
Patriots success is impressive, but they play 17 round robin games and then 4 play-off games.. theres no rep footy in season or end of season.. and the players play less than half of the game lol. I'll take uncle wiremu's fact that the storm are top 😂
Podcast is mean..but whoever is tryingbto filter the swearing..DONT... kills it bruh
Less go Doggies.
Mase who do you rank as the best Doggie to play for the club?
Mine was and always be Baa, plenty of other greats but I'd love you opinion.
Why are the swears getting beeped out?
i think the main thing that denotes how well games sell for losing teams is the game day experience. i agree souths fans are die hard but the Accor stadium regular season game day is objectively one of the worst in the league, parking, eating and atmosphere, that stadium isnt built for NRL like alliance, Combank and suncorp are. Its good for Grand finals as atmosphere lifts it but the seats have very crap viewing
being a WARRIORS fan is not for the weak…
Doggies, Panthers and Wahs fans are my favorites apart from my cowboys
Why do you hate the Sharks scope? Give us some love mate
Nah I don't mate. I just had my concerns on roster going in to season and therefore was labelled a Sharks hater by a few disgruntled fans. It's all just in jest mate haha - Horo
@@levelsnetwork I will take all things literal when it comes to my Sharkies. By the way, give us supporters some love we stick solid! There were some dark ‘dank’ days…(or Stevens days)
All love for the pod. Keep firing the big fella up. Gets me through the workday!
