For those wondering, I do believe Shimizu is still on the national team, but the team we’re seeing in these clips is an older Team Japan. The current captain is Masahiro Yanagida. We can also see a young Ishikawa in some of these clips. Definitely before players like Yuji Nishida, Masahiro Sekita, and Akahiro Yamauchi joined the national team.
@@girl-xk2db his form does look a little janky but I think it’s partially due to his leg injury and also because he leans into a hit for a harder swing or to get more angle on a block
His landing before the injury was kinda scary, you can see that after the injury he tried to adjust his landing. I'm happy he is healthy and in top form now! He's a great opposite.

Not only Kunihiro Shimizu, Yuji Nishida have a powerful serve and spike too...I like Shimizu and Nishida, both of them have same strenght...But Shimizu just play for a Panasonic Panthers after he retire from Japanese National Team....

At that time ishikawa was only 19 years old while yanagida was 24 years old.....
