The X is too good, everything from Face ID and the bigger screen than the two chins in the 6/s. Plus better hardware, way faster. But in the end it's up to you if you want these features

So Androjd is changing by leaps and bounds? Because it was a snooze fest with Samesung’s S9 and Note 9. Googles latest year late iPhone clone the Pixel 3 announced next month looks like an iPhone X with a larger Notch and a bottom Bezel. Something Android phones can't seem to get rid of. Apple is using a more expensive flexible display and wrapping the screen back behind to get rid of the bottom bezel. Smartphones are a more mature market. But Apple has made w number of big changes. A big one you may not know is they now support T-Mobi, as new band 71, This is their new 600MHz frequency. They've been getting this out there for the last year. It's a lower band which works better to get the signal into buildings and what it. There's w long list of new features that Apple didn't mention in their press conference as they only have so much time.

Their has been a 2 year gap... that has been in place at Apple since the iPhone 3, or 4, I think... Apple first releases the numbered version (iPhone 4), while the next year, they add an s on to the end, for example the iPhone 4s. Where the phone with just a number was the main upgrade in terms of hardware, while the next year phones, (the s models) were just optimized to be more efficient and effective, with a focus on software.

Don’t really see the point in upgrading from a X to a Xs. The only reasonable upgrade in my opinion is if you have a 7 or lower. I’ve been with my 6s+ for ages now and this is going to be a huge upgrade. Even though the prices are flat out dumb because of high demand, I still need to get my hands on one.

I'm personally going from 8 Plus to Xs Max... one I'm on the upgrade plan anyway so it's only $14 ish more a month and two, I didn't really want to buy into the new layout and tech in the first year of it so it was generally my plan to upgrade anyway. Being able to keep the larger size phone will be nice as I've gotten used to it.

They’re not even adding the “S” on the back of the phone. So the only way you could tell it’s the Xs is by getting the gold phone or the Max. Unless they look at the bottom and see the asymmetrical speaker/microphone cutouts.

Everyone bashing apple for not being "innovative" is getting annoying. I personally use Android and I'm not an apple sheep or anything but recently people have just been bashing apple for no reason.

Thanks for the comment and providing me with a different perspective. However, if I could add to that...I don't think it is just everyone is saying it to just be "bashing" (at least I'm not lol). Apple started the trend for other phones to follow like Siri, FaceID, TouchID, FaceTime, etc. then everybody else started doing it. But they haven't made any really big changes to their products, its literally bigger phones and a different camera that is overpriced. For someone like myself who has been with apple for quite some time, it's just disappointing. And I know for sure that I am not the only one just based off the comments here and just seeing how people aren't lining up for apple products like they use to....I just wanted something different that's all. Maybe in the next two years I will upgrade my phone but for now I'll just stick to what I have.

Short answer, it's never worth it to spend one thousand dollars on a phone.
Edit: really not trying to start a debate it's just my opinion that this is too expensive.
I have to chuckle a little bit because I see comments like this everywhere. People say 1k+ on a phone is outrageous but it’s with you 24/7 and most people use it more than anything else in their life. The majority of people spend way more on tvs, vehicles, appliances and other things they maybe use a handful of hours in a week, but god forbid you have to spend that much on something that goes with you everywhere and is used pretty constantly the majority of the day 🤷♂️

I think we have reached those times where the upgrade won't even be noticeable. My iPhone 7 is still ligtning fast.

I felt the same about my 6sPlus until I tried face id. It's awesome. The finger id on my iPad feels old and isn't half as consistent as the face id which basically flawless. The screen is definitely better and edge to edge is great too. If you ever upgrade think you would probably be happy with it.

What's the point in upgrading to this say if you still have a 7+, 8+ or x? What are those phones not capable to do that these can? This is absolutely ridiculous. Back in the old days, apple used to release ONE phone per year, with some quite amazing new features, but now, what is this? A little more color in the screen, a 0.00002 second faster loading time, some new features that 99% of the people will not even use.. I don't get it. This is just stupid. I'll stick with my 7+ for a few more years.
I would say get the XR my friend. It's a faster, cooler phone with a new design to boot. I bet it will improve your experience by a lot. But only if you live outside of Europe.

I would say come to an Apple Store to check it out yourself before you decide to give it up. I bet Apple has done thorough reviewing before releasing it, it's a weird 828p display after all. I figure that's how sharp you can actually differentiate.
