Get the XR if you haven't already made your choice. The only difference is the fact that the X has a slightly better display and it has 3D touch (which isn't that useful). The cameras are the same except the X can zoom a little farther. They're basically the same phone but the xr lasts longer and the colors are pretty dope

Honestly in my opinion, I prefer the X because it's the perfect size and it's not too thick. Also, it looks better for those who are going to be taking a lot of mirror pictures because the iphone xr looks a bit weird in my opinion. I don't really like how the xr has only one camera because it can easily be mistaken as a iphone 7/8 even though the flash is in the bottom. But it does depend on what you're into. If you want better battery life and a bright color on your phone, the xr is for you. If you want a more premium look on your phone, then the iphone x is for you.

It is vastly superior to the mono audio on videos recorded with the iPhone X and all earlier iPhone models. I would choose the XR, XS or XS max over any other smartphone currently on the market because of this feature

If I were to pick an Xr I would choose the Coral, I saw it in the store and depending on the light it changes from metallic orange to light copper, so cool! Anyway I wont upgrade for a while, especially with IOS 13 dark mode coming. Great vid!

@@deuceswild6350 For this upcoming I0s upgrade the 13 they say will come with a dark mode--its a setting where it gives the iphone a darker user interface option instead of the typical white setting. I still enjoy my X till today and still no complaints.

I've had the XR for a year now for work and this phone has been awesome for me. I prefer the 128gb if I decide to buy one for myself. The pictures on the XR are really great if you a photo person like myself. I'm stuck between the X or XR because of the dual camera but idk if it makes that much of a difference. Based on the video the XR is slightly brighter compared to others. This sucks bc I'm an android guy.
People don't understand that ppi more than 320 has no sense. Much more important are viewing angles, color and white reproduction. Apple LCD is amazing. I like it more than OLED.
If it makes no sense why do phone companies keep pushing higher pixel counts? Why do phones with higher pixel counts look sharper and less blurr more clear when reading it or watching a video? I think it has some merit to buy a phone with a higher pixel count.
I have xs max and my girlfriend has the xr. After using my phone and then jumping on hers for whatever reason its not as clear and bright. There is a big difference, the oled is just amazing it pops at you.
In real life day to day use it really only gets about an hour more than X if you have settings right. Who isnt around a charger throughout the day anyway or invested in a cheap powerbank?
@@josephpinczer if you've used a XR i dont think you'd say that the battery will only last an hour more than the x. It lasts 2 days tops, w/o charge and moderate usage. Tho it depends on the user. But it definitely lasts waaaay more than the X
I literally did the exact same things on the phones all day. I had to have the brightness higher on the XR as it make it close to as clear as on the X. I had some connectivity issues with the XR, which has been an issue with the antenna location and new modems they have been forced to use. At the end of the day I noticed about an hour or so in battery life difference. The screen is better, the 3D touch is irreplaceable, the portrait mode can be used for everything on X, better connectivity, dual lens, and better portable size. In today's society we are usually around some sort of charge port, be it home, work, car, or portable. Is it worth giving up all those features and reliability for an hour of battery life, no. If need be buy a 20$ portable charger and bang problem solved, if that hour is gonna make or break you.
Today i woke up at 2pm took my phone out watched yt for an hour sent lots of snaps and that for the whole day at 11 pm i had 4% so i would say the battery is very good
Upgraded from 6s Plus to XR and I have to say, I love it! Better battery life for sure and nice size. Got it in red and it just so nice in person. Although the resolution may not be 1080p or does not have 3D touch, the XR does the job and it worth the upgrade if you have 7 Plus or below.
I’d go for the iPhone XR just for the larger display. Own the iPhone 11 and I find the display quality is more than good enough, and just find the size far more comfortable than the 11 Pro Max, and appreciate that it’s larger than the 11 Pro. Looking forward to seeing how the A14 performs compared to the A12 and A13. My iPad Air 3 runs on the A12 and no matter what I throw at it, it runs the same speed as my iPhone.
i mean if youre doing photography a lot because youre travaling and stuff thats very important or you use instagram and snapchat often for me i dont use either of this and i like never use the camera lol

To discuss about the poll, I still like the old home button iPhones. Idk man, I still like the iconic home button iPhone designs, it’s really growing on me. The new all screen iPhones are nice, but the front looks almost bare to me. That’s just me though.
I love the color options on the XR. I’m not a fan of the size . My X have a love/hate relationship. Mostly love. The size is amazing. Not a big fan of the selfie cam on the X.
I was thinking about upgrading from the iphone x to the iphone XR but after watching this video and a few others I honestly can't find enough reason to switch. The few changes added to the XR are so very slight they border on unnoticeable. Very imfomative video.

No question. Get the X. I had an XR and switched to X. Screen size is not much different and that Bezel and thickness on XR makes it much much bulkier to hold. 11 vs 11 Pro is a different story, because 11 pro has gotten thicker/heavier.
The big issue with the Xr is the display. Not even the resolution, the fact it's an LCD. Those type of displays are fine with regular bezels and no notch like the 6,7,8 etc. But the issue arises when you get a notch. You can no longer escape the notch, basically ever. Since the black pixels are still backlit, when you watch videos and have black bars on each side you'll always see the notch on the side. On the X, Xs, Xs Max the pixels are oled so they turn off which makes the notch totally go away. Also don't accept this "some people are going to complain about this". 1080p has been a standard across all screens. Even if it's pretty close to 1080p, don't accept apple downgrading the resolution on your device. Not even an apple hater here, I just want apple to give its customers better products. If you always say "you'll never notice the difference" then they'll never change. Not to mention the main reason apple made the resolution 828p instead of 1080 is mostly to differentiate the Xr to the Xs and Xs Max. If they made the Xr display too good then why would you ever get the better Xs? They want you to know this is the "cheaper one" to nudge you to get the more expensive one. If you really "couldn't tell the difference" then why would apple make the Xs and Xs max have a much better display and so heavily market it. It's because you do notice it lol. It is substantially better

The XR's camera is exactly the same as the iPhone XS's main lens. But you'd have to really put the photos of the iPhone XR and the X side by side to notice a difference. The newer lenses have proven to be better in low-light settings. So I do give you kudos for that. Camera-wise, the only reason why I'd really pick the dual lens instead of the single lens is because of portrait mode on objects. The iPhone XR uses digital portrait mode which only works on people. I found myself using portrait mode much more on objects, rather than on people.

@@fidelgyamphi4233 You CAN'T upgrade Haptic Touch... It'll ALWAYS be slower than 3D Touch and many features are not realizable with a long press. For example Peak and Pop. I use this all the time in Twitter, WhatsApp, iMessage and Safari. Live wallpapers also are not possible without 3D Touch. And even features that Apple has realized with Haptic Touch aren't even close to be as good. For example the trackpad on the keyboard. With 3DTouch it takes only 1 sec to do what you want. With Haptic touch the same thing takes about 5 to 10 times longer. And that's a HUGE dissapointment if you're used to type fast. And Haptic touch also doesn't work every time - unlike 3D Touch. And I hate wide angle shots. They look like fake all the time. And the portrait mode only works on people. I NEVER take pictures of people. Not. A. Single. One. And FaceID also isn't that much faster. Even in direct comparisons the differences in speed are only barely noticable. If you say you notice a huge difference - congrats, you have a placebo...

Both are fantastic devices! I went with the XR because I like the fact it’s newer, it’s bigger and it has better battery life. The XR is just great in my experience, no complains at all! (The screen is actually really good ;) )

The screen is better, the 3D touch is irreplaceable, the portrait mode can be used for everything on X, better connectivity, dual lens, and better portable size. In today's society we are usually around some sort of charge port, be it home, work, car, or portable. Is it worth giving up all those features and reliability for an hour of battery life, no. If need be buy a 20$ portable charger and bang problem solved, if that hour is gonna make or break you.
Today i woke up at 2pm took my phone out watched yt for an hour sent lots of snaps and that for the whole day at 11 pm i had 4% so i would say the battery is very good

Upgraded from 6s Plus to XR and I have to say, I love it! Better battery life for sure and nice size. Got it in red and it just so nice in person. Although the resolution may not be 1080p or does not have 3D touch, the XR does the job and it worth the upgrade if you have 7 Plus or below.
However i find the xr looking outdated at the back

I’d go for the iPhone XR just for the larger display. Own the iPhone 11 and I find the display quality is more than good enough, and just find the size far more comfortable than the 11 Pro Max, and appreciate that it’s larger than the 11 Pro. Looking forward to seeing how the A14 performs compared to the A12 and A13. My iPad Air 3 runs on the A12 and no matter what I throw at it, it runs the same speed as my iPhone.
The Xr camera quality alone is enough to be a choosing factor for me.
i mean if youre doing photography a lot because youre travaling and stuff thats very important or you use instagram and snapchat often

I was thinking about upgrading from the iphone x to the iphone XR but after watching this video and a few others I honestly can't find enough reason to switch. The few changes added to the XR are so very slight they border on unnoticeable. Very imfomative video.

I upgraded my iPhone SE to the XR just over a month ago (June 27, 2019) and I love my XR. The battery life is absolutely amazing on it. Can’t wait to try iOS 13 and it’s new features next month.

No question. Get the X. I had an XR and switched to X. Screen size is not much different and that Bezel and thickness on XR makes it much much bulkier to hold.
11 vs 11 Pro is a different story, because 11 pro has gotten thicker/heavier.
The big issue with the Xr is the display. Not even the resolution, the fact it's an LCD. Those type of displays are fine with regular bezels and no notch like the 6,7,8 etc. But the issue arises when you get a notch.
You can no longer escape the notch, basically ever. Since the black pixels are still backlit, when you watch videos and have black bars on each side you'll always see the notch on the side. On the X, Xs, Xs Max the pixels are oled so they turn off which makes the notch totally go away.
Also don't accept this "some people are going to complain about this". 1080p has been a standard across all screens. Even if it's pretty close to 1080p, don't accept apple downgrading the resolution on your device. Not even an apple hater here, I just want apple to give its customers better products. If you always say "you'll never notice the difference" then they'll never change.
Not to mention the main reason apple made the resolution 828p instead of 1080 is mostly to differentiate the Xr to the Xs and Xs Max. If they made the Xr display too good then why would you ever get the better Xs? They want you to know this is the "cheaper one" to nudge you to get the more expensive one.
If you really "couldn't tell the difference" then why would apple make the Xs and Xs max have a much better display and so heavily market it. It's because you do notice it lol. It is substantially better

Get the X. The display is gorgeous, 3D touch is present and the camera is awesome. You can get really good deals rn. Got my X last month and I absolutely love it
the camera in night portrait is bad, actually. my picky sister told me. XR's camera is better (nearer to XS)
The XR's camera is exactly the same as the iPhone XS's main lens. But you'd have to really put the photos of the iPhone XR and the X side by side to notice a difference. The newer lenses have proven to be better in low-light settings. So I do give you kudos for that. Camera-wise, the only reason why I'd really pick the dual lens instead of the single lens is because of portrait mode on objects. The iPhone XR uses digital portrait mode which only works on people. I found myself using portrait mode much more on objects, rather than on people.
@@JeanPierreBro there are 3rd party portrait mode apps which comes cheaper than the upgrade to dual lens. apple makes the best use of its camera software

I had an iphone 8 type design ( small and comfy), and it was honestly the best sized phone I've ever had. Tried the iphone 8 plus, and it just doesn't work. It's very large and heavy. I was thinking on buying the xr, but the size and the weight is keeping me down.

You CAN'T upgrade Haptic Touch...
It'll ALWAYS be slower than 3D Touch and many features are not realizable with a long press. For example Peak and Pop. I use this all the time in Twitter, WhatsApp, iMessage and Safari. Live wallpapers also are not possible without 3D Touch.
And even features that Apple has realized with Haptic Touch aren't even close to be as good. For example the trackpad on the keyboard. With 3DTouch it takes only 1 sec to do what you want. With Haptic touch the same thing takes about 5 to 10 times longer. And that's a HUGE dissapointment if you're used to type fast. And Haptic touch also doesn't work every time - unlike 3D Touch.
And I hate wide angle shots. They look like fake all the time. And the portrait mode only works on people. I NEVER take pictures of people. Not. A. Single. One.
And FaceID also isn't that much faster. Even in direct comparisons the differences in speed are only barely noticable. If you say you notice a huge difference - congrats, you have a placebo...

y'all know the r in iPhone xr stands for "reduced" right? thats why they've down graded a varied amount of specifications to resolve the phone in decreasing in value and price, which was a problem to the public with the iPhone x's premium price. so yes, the iPhone x is superior to the xr.
