This plugin is really nice. I have really good monitoring in my studio but do much of my tracking/composing/mixing on my Sennheiser HD600's. And I found that the mixes I did with this plugin installed needed almost no adjustments once I started the fine mixing on my speakers. The mixes translated very well to my phone, laptop, my monitors at work and in my car. Much better than mixes done without this plugin. For whatever it is worth you get several references and can easily solo the left and right side. If you go between the CLA-10, the boombox and the plugin disabled you get 3 very good recerences on how the sound translate. And you can to some degree escape from getting blind on your mistakes due to sound fatigue as you can swap between the different "modes" very easily instead of just having one sound expression for hours. No matter how good the quality is. So no need to bounce the track, run to your car, then go hunting for different places to play your mix. For $29 this is really a no brainer.
Tried it on a mix today. I actually mixed down with the plugin still on the master bus, I mean still active. Counter intuitive but sounded awesome. If you lower the ambience it works.
Hey Jay, yeah that's not what the plugin is intended for, just monitoring. But if gives a sound you like, why not? That boombox preset can work as effect as well. I assume you went for the cla10+sub without ambiance? I think that one is best suited for what you did.
Yes what I intend to try. Why use a plug-in that makes your music sound great then turn it off? They will eventually create something like what you are doing and what I am going to try

As we all know... it's gotta sound good on cheap stuff too. This may not be 100% accurate, but for us bedroom producers? Even if we can get to say the 96% mark? And for $27 on sale? It's a no brainer.
First of thanks for the video, in my current circumstance I need to mix mainly on headphones therefore I rely greatly on this plugin + Abby Roads Studio 3 + Sennheiser 650HD + Sonar eq correction. One thing I find hard still on headphones including this plugin is how your track bass will react on big speakers. For example if I have too much lowend can cause big speakers to rattle/shake. Any tips on how you can determine these problems using this plugin or any other plugin if mixing headphones?
Hey there. Rattling depends on which speaker you use ;-) you pointing out more general low end “judging” issues. The 650hd has plenty of low end. I would make sure you reference mixes you like to judge when low end is ok or too much. Compare mixes you like for low end with your own mix and try to get a similar level for low end.

Well considering the price ( intro offer ) I believe it is the most affordable one in the competition. From there, I think would be a good deal.

14-18% for me on m1. Seems normal, it is a high demanding plugin.
