  • I enjoy using acorns because it is simple and easy to use, I’m not interested in purchasing individual stocks. I want my money to have a goal and be earning me money as it is. Acorn's roundup feature is nice to start investing without realizing it.
Acorns is $3 a month for a personal account giving you access to a investment account, retirement account, and a checking account. They also have links such as this year I got 8% of my turbo tax fee back when I did my taxes. Minimum payments start at $5 a month. This week invite 4 friends and earn $900 in bonus investments. Using this link we would each receive $5 percent invested.

So I have considered this for awhile but put it off. Just signed up today and found out I can link my credit or debit card so that it rounds up each purchase and invests the roundup. That is seriously money I will not miss. Wish I knew about that sooner, I might have opened the account a couple years ago.

This sounds alright for some. I personally will not use any financial setup or bank that takes fees. My own bank doesn't charge to set up savings options like automatic fortnightly or monthly transfers to savings accounts and I've had several of those running for years with very good results.
I'm also suspicious of businesses that offer a payment to enlist others. Just me. As I said, it may work okay for some.

I complete agree, I don’t normally use banking services that require a fee. But I knew I wanted to invest in the stock market and no matter what these companies charge you before during or after or they are using and leveraging your money. The fee is more for the investments then the checking account. And I was happy with a flat monthly fee instead of a fee at the time of selling. Also unfortunately pretty much every bank in America has a referral program like this one. Thanks for your comment!

What about robinhood? Has 4.1m reviews compared to acorn 850k

I used robinhood and I don’t like it as much. There system has crashed multiple times during the biggest market changes. If you want to buy specific stocks Webull or Robinhood work well. But I wanted something that takes the research off of my hands and invests in a portfolio of stocks for me. I found with robinhood I was prone to buy and sell stocks when I should just be buying and holding. It made it feel more like gambling then investing.
