My grandfather never had one of these. He had a Buick. My grandmother had a Buick as well. But my uncle had a Regency 98. It was a 1982. Also, a co-worker of my father had one too. It was a 1984 and his was actually a coupe. That was a really nice car in the 2 door!
Reminds me when I was young, I used to own an 1984 Regency. It was a brougham with the sunroof. I also had the 30's with 2 inch whitewalls. Very reliable car and it looked great too.
Cool ride ! I own a 1981 Oldsmobile Delta 88 sedan which is somewhat similar to this 98 Regency, these cars were what defined GM back in the day .I love how these cars ride and the reliability/durability are exceptional 👌. CHEERS 🍻

Hi Mr75caprice - the next year - 1984 model was the last year of the “big” Oldsmobiles. When describing this model - it’s important to say, “Oldsmobile 98 Regency.” This was the top-of-the-line GM Oldsmobile model. Can I ask how much it sold for? Thank you
I know I'm just now catching up on this but man those 98's where the next best to the Fleetwood Brougham Cadillac s. My grandmother had a 83 that was beige with the chocolate brown top with the chocolate brown interior. And I had two of them. One was an 83 which was champagne gold and chocolate brown with the daytons and vogues and big beats in the trunk and my other one was and 84 which was burgundy with the burgundy guts and the big beats in the trunk and all original. There ain't nothing like a Olds 98 when them thangs is on clean and I'm actually hunting for another one!!!
I miss my 91 olds 98 regency elite, those were the cars GM used to test out new accessories for the Cadillac models. Some were only used in oldsmobile though. Oldsmobile, the inexpensive Cadillac.
@@beauyo1293 cragar is not, an after market company is. But I've been hearing that for 10 years, I own the actual cragar 30 spoke starwires, check them out on my 87 Fleetwood brougham

Man, now I don't want my dad selling his Pontiac Parisian (which is pretty similar to this) because that thing rides like a dream, quiet, hovers and it doesn't feel like a boat like his 2dr 75 caprice.
Them was the shit in the nineties idk why people are buying boxes instead of the eighties and nineties cadillacs boxes they looked better to me and the Regency an nine eights. But maybe they will make a comeback too.
Grandpa!? I had one! i thought it was that one when i first opened the video i had original hubcaps but one inch white walls thing was super original clean 😂
By the looks of things the only thing on that car that looks like it got touched or beat up for its age was that spare tire in the trunk and some loose belts this car is immaculate SHEEEEESH
The Olds Ninety-Eight series had nothing in common with Chevrolet or Pontiac. They were more in common with Cadillac. They were more dependable than Cadillac and rode better. The only down-side to these (1981-1984) cars was the lame V-8 engine. Old Ninety-Eights always had a huge Rocket V-8 cranking out lots of HP and Torque. Oldsmobile was the best, or very good at that time , as good as mercedes benz but peolple did not see it that way but it was...best cars i everer owend
That is most definitely a 47000 mile Oldsmobile, the car has been well taken care of.
My grandmother had one of these cars. Hers was an 1985 model drives very nice i driven it many times. Thank you for sharing
My mom had one just like this, even the same color. Brings back a lot of childhood memories
A lot of people don't know about these classics, that one's super clean much love from the Bay Area.
This thing is a beaut! The interior still looks pretty classy, despite the age!
Super clean, reminding me of the 80's in the ATL, everybody had one
Passage of time makes these look better. Great video.
I had one of those back in the late 80's. Had a 5 body trunk and a big back seat, smooth ride.
The Olds 98 was a premium car of its day @ she is beautiful.
Love the Oldsmobile 1960 convertible What a great car it was

Those old GMs last forever. Cheap and easy to work on too.
Its just like a fleetwood cadillac. Its clean as hell. They dont make them like that no more. A well built vehicle.
That is my dream car my dad had a black one with white walls on it
