Love what Deshon is doing. Guy doesn’t just make a lot of tackles… makes a lot of IMPACTFUL tackles.. tackles for loss or 0 YAC.. plays really smart.. show great anticipation and knowledge of what’s coming.. makes smart, hard tackles.. avoiding penalties but laying some wood. Really impressed with the dude. Needs to be signed long term if he finishes out the year like this.
Like Justin said earlier in the year when asked by a reporter, " I can throw faster than I can run" - when asked about why he wasn't running as much to the point. Russ's throwing ability and command of the entire offense opens up the offense much more than what Fields was doing. I am a Fields supporter, but what we lost with his legs was more than made up with Russ's passing acumen.
Russ can still run too. Don’t buy into the bs. Russ is nobody’s statue. He was the league’s 8th-leading rusher at QB last season, barely behind #7 Patrick Mahomes.
We haven't seen the best of Russell Wilson in Pittsburgh. If Russ is healthy at seasons end, they should absolutely sign him for a few more years. The Steelers have a championship level defense, the best special team's unit, and a lot of young talent on offense especially on the offensive line. They have a real chance to win it all for the next few seasons. This is Russ's team; they don't have time to have a young developmental QB that is learning on the job.
Russ was rusty and didn’t throw with the type of accuracy we used to see from him. I think it will be better by the time they return from the bye week. Hopefully he’ll be fresher than most in December because of the time off.
@@DeCurtaRican The Steelers will be getting their other big CB back very soon. Cory Trice is a really good 6' 3" corner that can be a star in this league if he can stay healthy.
Re-sign both. Quality insurance against injuries. Maybe work Fields into the playbook. If you have an opposing defense playing tight down the field, let Fields cook for a quarter or two to keep them honest
He couldn’t do it for the Broncos in his first year (2022) because his coach was incompetent and the team was widely injured. In 2023, his coach was against him and the offense wasn’t geared for his success. In fact, Sean Payton was throwing games.
Hey, Big B👋... It looks like our buddy Tomlin came through, lol. I'm not ready to give him coach of the year, but that was a very risky move that paid off well👍
Elliot was a great box safety in Miami. The Dolphins must have thought he would get a bigger offer. The Dolphins lost both starting safeties and a real good LB in free agency after they spent their money on the QB and WR's.
The Steelers should have a designed play with big Darnell Washington in the backfield either running the ball the way the Chicago Bears used to use William the Refrigerator Perry, or use Washington as full back and block for najee or Patterson..
Here's the question: What does everyone mean when they say "Justin Fields was winning?" I'm curious. The Falcons game? No, that was Boz. Chargers? Nah, that was all defense. Loss to DALLAS after the defense gifted Justin with 3 turnovers. Let's not mention the RAIDERS. they're just a bad team. I see what Tomlin sees. And that is a QB that you can not depend on to win games from behind. A QB, that does not force a defenses out of playing coverage or make many adjustments. Because they know that if his first read isn't there he's going run. Thats just not how you win games in big moments. You need a balanced offense and defense. And Justin does not balance the offense. The STEELERS can't run the ball efficiently because opposing defenses are going to play the line. QB and RB Blitzes. Justin behind center does not spread the defense in the passing game. In closing. Justin is a back-up. He was always the back-up.
We all saw that. And when the cameras panned to the crowd you could see fans calling for him to get pulled. Hell! Tomlin was warming up JF2! Glad he turned it around personally.
BIG B the long and Hard road for Steelers begin in W Comanders (if Jayden Daniels it's not hurt). I thing that. But, the Game is other with R.Wilson. Defense it's ok. Special teams are ok. G.Pickens and Friends ,right now are ok . Steelers must win the next two games before By Week,to Walk direct play offs. And after vs AFC teams,we have an oportunity at Home. I thing that..........
I don’t not see that happening this time around. People may not realize this right now, but Russ could become the greatest QB in your franchise’s history. He will certainly be the highest ranked on almost every list of all-time great QBs, with all due respect to Earl, Terry and Ben, and of course Johnny.

Man this the best Steelers podcast this year !
I agree. Too many steelers podcasts with misguided insight and takes. Others exist as an outlet for Tomlin hate.
Stay optimistic. 1 week, whatever. The eyes don't lie and it ain't like we don't know what Russ can provide 💯
I appreciate you. I just try to be honest about what we see.
Like Justin said earlier in the year when asked by a reporter, " I can throw faster than I can run" - when asked about why he wasn't running as much to the point.

RW is in the zone. He gotta chip on his shoulder
Took the offense to trial against a top 5 defense and HOF QB ppl don’t kno how good this year is about to continue to be
I keep saying it. We're going to the super bowl as along everyone stays healthy
They need to sign Najee. Secondary don’t want none a that beast in the 4th qtr
Najee doesn't lose the ball very often. That has added value in my opinion.

Reminds me of the Seahawks in 2012.

All phases of the team are playing at a higher level. Russ does that for whatever team he's on. In Russ we trust. Coach knew this.

@@DeCurtaRican I do believe he won 5 games in a row against 5 of the top teams. Thats with a crap Broncos team. That's elevating
Sorry his second year there. Your right first year was way too many problems. Broncos looked good on paper but not in reality
Hey, Big B👋... It looks like our buddy Tomlin came through, lol. I'm not ready to give him coach of the year, but that was a very risky move that paid off well👍
No doubt. For this week, it worked out.
It wasn’t a “gamble,” a “bet,” or a “leap of faith.” It was Mike Tomlin on knowing his players, no more, no less.
Elliot was a great box safety in Miami. The Dolphins must have thought he would get a bigger offer. The Dolphins lost both starting safeties and a real good LB in free agency after they spent their money on the QB and WR's.
Yes A
#1. C.
#2. C.
1. C but if not A 🤷🏾♂️
2. C but I'll say #8
3. Yes!!!!!!
I say keep him. Hes elusive hard hitting back. Doesn't lose the football and Doesn't get injured. Its a no brainer.
Big b I think his work ethic and hes coming into this season slimmer it helped big time what do think about that
Gotta restructure $$$ and hold on to this group

San Francisco at 6th, at 3-4???
No clue
You might be the most honest when it comes to the Steelers!
I really appreciate that. That's all i try to be.

I think the ultimate test for Najee will be Christmas Day and the Ravens games.
No QB can do it all on his own.
🤔The analytics supported Russ over Justin. Remember that. 🤷🏽♂️😎
C) Both!
The Steelers defense is going to be nice with Cam Sutton returning after the bye.
Sup Big B, watching the game again Russ missed some throws too, Calvin Austin, for one was a certain TD.
Russ hasn't played in a year, so of course he's going to be rusty but watch him on Monday night
We all saw that. And when the cameras panned to the crowd you could see fans calling for him to get pulled. Hell! Tomlin was warming up JF2! Glad he turned it around personally.

Your right

10-7. The magical numbers after last Week .
And,Steelers Almigthy are flying Up day By day.
Of course, Najee Harris and Russell Wilson for Next three years. Why not?......
Top 5.
1 cheifs
2 ravens
3 Bills
4 steelers
5 lions
Greenbay over Bills
Not like we have a choice with tomlin.theres no back up head coach.

Najee runs like a modern day sweetness ;)
Hold on now. Let's not go overboard.
I think Naj is going to want 9-10 per year
He won't be Steeler then.
C both
How are the eagles better than us
No clue
Why the hell are people calling in to ask political questions on a football podcast 😂
B
Not both. Russell will retire after winning the super bowl this year.
Russ won’t be retiring anytime soon.
Give Tomlin time, he'll find a way to screw things up!
Keep the faith my man.

I was ready to throw in the towel if justin started one more game.
At 4-2?
