  • Emmanuel Acho, LeSean McCoy, James Jones and Chase Daniel discuss what statement Russell Wilson made in his Pittsburgh Steelers QB1 debut. Russ finished with two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in the Steelers' 37-15 win over the New York Jets. The squad then reflects on Aaron Rodgers' Jets tenure so far and discuss whether the veteran QB is a failure for New York.

Honestly... it isn't even a new thing. Rodgers 2024 season is looking a lot like his last season in Green Bay. An overtime field goal was the only thing that kept them from being 2-6 halfway through that year. His stats are almost identical to 2022.

As a Steelers fan it was nice to finally have a QB that could read a defense pre snap with calling out blitzes and coverages. Its been since Big Ben that I've seen a QB be given the freedom to make changes at the line of scrimmage. Now if he can put in back to back performance heading into the bye I will be pretty confident this is a team that can finally win in the post season.

You guys could clearly see Russ played better than Mahomes last year and had his team in playoff contention week 11 last year after a horrible week 3 performance. Since week 3 he throws 22 tds to 2 tds(Best in the league)
But people were just hearing locker room narrative and just blindly listening to opinions just to sound relevant.

Arron Rodgers is a guy the NFL wanted to pass the torch to 10 years into Brady’s career thinking the time was now. So they crowned 👑 him with Multiple MVPS while Brady was bringing home the HARDWARE 🏆. Arod has ONE good post season. *ONE* and it was against a beat up aged Steelers team (strange coincidence).
And he’s in the Goat convo? This is why the NFL can’t push a narrative because when you have multiple MVPS like Arod you can make a legitimate argument. But the NFL wanted its hero too soon. But they crowned the wrong 12.
You know who else beat up an aged Super Bowl defending Steelers team in the post season? *TIM TEBOW* - Arizona always sent Arod home. Then when he met Brady with the Bucs (of course Arod as MVP) he lost again.
FUN FACT in 3 out of 4 MVP seasons for Arod: *TOM BRADY PLAYED IN THE SUPER BOWL THAT YEAR* Some mvp

Been saying this from Day1... If Steelers can get the type of play from Russ (how he played in his last season in Denver), that is all that is needed to compliment the good defense they have.. efficient QB play, which will actually open up the run-game even more, and the good defense as icing on the cake... (all Russ has to do is get more of that rust off)

This is the best thing to happen to Justin Fields. To sit behind a vet who has been a starter for a long time. One that has won it all. Brady sat for a year. Mahomes sat for a year. Farve sat for a year. Rodgers sat for 3 years. The list is long of great QB's sitting and learning behind a true vet. Fields has never had that chance. He finally does now.
