@@MuddyBeards4X4 I have the same exact damage on a 90s Centerline aluminum wheel. I'm wondering if it can bend back or crack. You ever try an allow wheel?
Whatever bent the rim may have (probably) damaged the sidewall plies. Truing the rim will help hold the tire bead. Hopefully, the bulge doesn't get worse.🤞
Thays metal on metal. Even if you bent it back it will never be as strong as it once was. Being plyable against a tire is a whole nother story. Especailly with the bead
Oh hey, i didn’t see you there 🤣
Lol
Hahahaha wtf

This guy is a trip
I subscribed. 2x4 was the missing ingredient. Thanks!
Great, lol.
So do you just take a little bit of air and then use the 2x4?
Was air leaking from the bent rim? I just ran over a huge rock n has a bent in the rim and air leaking

You inspire me! I wish I had a bulge in my tire to do the same, I do have a bulge somewhere else though from watching this video.
Lol
what type of wood is this ? and what are the dimensions ? thanks
2x4 🥸
Awesome! Extremely helpful!
great video
Got the air out or released the air. Gone or disappeared
Cool video
Sorry to sneak up on you....if you were to stand the wheel up, gravity would assist in bringing down the hammer & the wheel wouldn't try to run off
@Dale Macarena um
Respect the bead
Would this work for aluminum rims? Mine is more of a flattened spot (think like when you drop a ball of play doh)
Hard to tell without seeing it, doesn’t hurt to try though.
did you try? I have the same scenario, hoping to try this weekend...
you can flatten my spot any day (;

This guy using priceless piece of wood as a tool.. smh
Jk, great video man!
warm up the metal 1st.
Why
@@IkillPigz so it could be more malleable lol
Exactly what I was thinking.
I’m currently torching mine up a bit and gonna go to town on it with a rubber mallet and hope for the best.
Not a terrible idea but would need to be very careful with a tire on it.
If the center hub of the wheel is bent how do you fix that? Post a vid if you know how. Thanks. XJ SENDIT CREW MEMBER.
You dont

Thank you I appreciate it
Are those steelies….? Us Aluminum guys came here looking for the man brave enough to hammer on the other white metal…
Cheap black steelies are the way to go man
dig the T lol
You shoulda make a joke about “not seeing” that pothole, that fucked up the wheel in the first place
🤣
