Ok, the history of the F Type.
It first appeared in a PS2 game called Neon Genesis Evangelion 2, though it did not have the N2 launcher (don't think it ever did, pretty sure SRW added that because N2 LAUNCHER JEEZ. It DID have the Gunleon arm). At that point, it was canon, and soon popped up in Eva ANIMA (where it canonically beat the shit out of the MP Evas, go figure). It would then be damaged and have Shinji's soul fused to it, forming the Super Evangelion (which has not been in SRW)

Now that SRW uses the rebuild universe we probably won't ever see the TV version of EVA again, which is sad. Bye Magoroku-E sword and type F.
Actually, there's C-Type and V-Type Equipment in some Eva Tabletop RPG that's basically flight equipment. The Japanese Eva Wikipedia page also mentions a different F-Type equipment, but I think it's something they fly the Evas around with or something.
It was in Neon Genesis Evangleion 2 for the PS2, apparently. I haven't played it myself, so I'm not completely sure, but some wikis say it is.
though the cost of the F-Type equipment means Unit 01 can't go berserk

naw, never played @3, but also heard Berserk Eva 01's a gamble to use. Not only that but it doesn't work out often
Correct meif Ime wrong but is Evangelio: ANIMA the only time the F-type aquipment ever apeare in a story?
This video kind of makes me wish the Super Evangelions (from ANIMA) would make it to srw some day.
Can you purge the armor and go back to basic eva 1 to do the combos ?
I don't know if this is flight-capable in-game, since I always put a Minovsky Craft on it, but this is more a Full Armor like deal.
Oh. I just assumed it was a flight pack due to the "F-Type" in it's name.

Well, I don't feel like booting up the game to get a detailed explanation, but if you're mid-mission, there's an option on the menu when you're not selecting a robot near the bottom that pops open another menu. It should have an option with BGM in the text. Hit it and you should get another menu with your units and their themes that you can change..
