Listen up, fishing fam! It’s time you hear out my intention. My videos are a crash course in all forms of angling. From fish catching wizardry to boat TLC 101. But let's get one thing straight: I'm not your personal fishing Google Maps, no coordinates served on a silver platter here or immediate landmarks unless you already have SOME idea. You still have to put the work in.
If you're throwing shade because you think I’m revealing exact locations that you also fish and that impacts you, maybe it's time to reel in that negativity and reassess what damage you actually think is being done.
I'm all about the help, sliding into DMs like a fish ninja. If my content's not your flavor, no hard feelings - swim away and stop stressing yourself out. I'm here to help and I'm doing it my way.
If you're not on board, there's plenty of other content seas to navigate. If you don’t agree with my work, stay salty, your negativity won’t stop me doing what I love. For the ones that appreciate my free content and advice I put together for you, thanks for the support✌️🎣
    Now back to fishing…

what a video man, snapper can be so elusive but when there are decent fish like that schooling, especially around structure they go hard. The main things I look for when snapper fishing are current, a high barometer and good water temp. so good to see the fish are starting to move with numbers in Tassie, hopefully the start of an awsome fisherie!!

I see! This session definitely had all of those ingredients. Unsure about the air pressure though. I’ll look into it! Have you had much luck in tassie?

Wow....!! Have to love the 1990's style cleaning table shot and over flowing esky. I thought we'd moved on from there, but perhaps not? Being an 'influencer', you've just set the standard for all others to roll out and fill their boat with snapper. You had the opportunity to show some restraint and influence viewers in a more sustainable manner, regardless of what the current bag limits are. But whatever floats the social media ego boat hey 😉
Not hard to pick where you were, even with the flipped footage for a bit :) Well done ol' boy, well done 🙄

I’ve tagged 22 tuna over the last two weeks. I do my fair share of give and take. The fish were on ice unless filmed. All fish within regulations.
My grandfather put me on this snapper bite and I wanted to make the most of it. I’ll take some fish whenever I want within regulations mate - plus share the love with other people.
If someone can locate the spot, good on them. Getting there with the local knowledge is another thing. It was a four hour drive and lots of conversation to even get the opportunity to look for them.
Thanks for watching and interacting, have a good one! 💪🐟

Never seen them in the water, but they're clearly about! Might have to have a crack burleying for them up north.
Is there a general depth you find they like hanging out at?

Snapper were very elusive in Tassie when I lived there, it's good to see they are showing up in numbers now. Makes me wonder what's changed - is it that the fish were always there but people just didn't know how to catch them or are they starting to migrate down there now? (I do realise there has been plenty of big ones caught in the Tamar for a lot of years, but they were rare offshore). I just hope people don't go nuts and end up having them locked up, like in SA and here in WA

To be honest with you, I spent hours last season looking for them without any luck. Probably about 6 fish lees trips, I found one all last summer.
It’s pleasing being able to find them and share the knowledge so others can have a crack. I’m sure Fisheries Tasmania will look at the legalities for next season which is good :)

The bag and size limits down there need to be looked at I think. The last thing anyone wants to see is the snapper fished out and locked up, like in SA and even WA now

@@timjohnun4297 perhaps it does! It just got overfished up there? TBH - this was the most snapper I’ve ever known to be caught in one session. Very sentimental day due to other reasons too but if it brings new bay limits to fisheries attentions - I’d say this videos a blessing.
