Thank you so, so much for sharing your knowledge! I bought my heat press and mug press last week. I followed the information in your video to the letter and I have just completed my first three mugs and they are all perfect, thanks to your advice. I can't thank you enough. Blessings from Ireland ☘️
Love the designs you chose! The small business owner one is my fav. :) Two things I've learned doing sublimation mugs. 1- you should always heat your press up, and let it cool down with a mug in it. Otherwise the element can burn out. 2- Some dishwashers will cause fading on sub mugs. Depending on the cycle setting, some can get hot enough to reactivate the ink and fade it.
Just an FYI for you cup makers out there. I received a hand made cup as a present. Please ask if the person is left or right handed. When I use my cup, the picture is facing me... lol. Got to be left handed to figure this one out...😉
@@BharataIshaya I don t think so. I always see the picture when others are drinking... what would be the fun in putting a message on a cup if others can t see it?
These are very pretty! I messed up a Cricut mug and was able to remove the image in both sides using white vinegar.. Soaked while warm for like 20 mins scrubbed right off using metal scrubber.. I haven't tried to re sub on it yet.. But can repurpose it using waterslide paper or vinyl ..
Hello Sallie, I am so new to sublimation hhhh and I just got my material to have a try but know nothing about this. I am keen to learn this I like to know how to sublimate mugs. So thank you for the tutorial. Time to learn.
Sallie. You are a gem!!! Your videos are superb and so easy to learn from. Thanks so much for making this all understand me and fun. Love the calmness of your voice. You rock 👍🏼thank you
Thank you for doing this video. I have the exact same heat press and I have been hesitant on doing mugs. I bought the cricut mugs to practice just because it was convenient to buy them at the store. I am definitely going to try pressing a mug this weekend.
The eco tanks aren’t specifically sublimation printers, but because of how the eco tank technology works you don’t have to do anything other than pour the sublimation ink into the tank. So there’s no physical conversion. If you want to go back to using regular ink or if you want to go from regular ink to sublimation you will have to flush the system.
I just bought a heat press yesterday. It was just an inexpensive one from Amazon but now I need to find a printer so I can try sublimation. Really excited!
Will the circular press wrap all the way around the mug? If you wanted to do an image onto something without a handle, like a soda can, or a drinking glass.
Hello, thanks for the video, I'm new to sublimation and am using the et15000. Just wondering what paper setting your using in your printer for sublimation and printer settings in computer for paper type. I'm using htvs sublimation paper. Thank you
What printer do you have Sally and have you experimented with different design file types to see which is clearer and more vibrant ie PNG, SVG, JPEG or Ai for example?
I love these! Do u have a video on how you set up your et15000? I have the same printer but still in the box. Kinda nervous to set it up. Did u mention where u got your butterfly design?
There’s a lot of videos on here setting up the et15000 step by step. Watch the videos and get that printer out the box lol. Remember to not use the ink it came with.
Super easy! Definitely make sure you don’t use the ink it came with and also, make sure you load your ink before you even plug your printer in. I just did mine today. I have the 4700 though. It was easy. I followed Angie Holden’s video on TH-cam and it worked perfectly! Good luck!
I’m looking for a mug template for an 11 oz mug? I don’t know how to create it in Silhouette. Do you have a tutorial video on how to create a mug template on Silhouette? Thank you !
Love it! One day, could you make a video on how to use all the things that come with your heat press?!? I have the exact same one but it came with no instructions so I've only used it to make tees. The attachments are in storage lol. Thank you for all your videos! You're wonderful girly ♥
I don't mean any disrespect but this is not a step-by-step I'm looking for videos that shows me what app and how to print and size up correctly on those thin strips of paper to wrap around the mug everyone seems to keep skipping that part😢
They look so good. The colors are so vibrant! Thank you for sharing. Do you have a video on your sublimation setup? I'm looking into purchasing a printer soon. Thanks in advance ☺️
Hi, I was just wondering if the timing is still the same when the heatpress drops temp? I put a mug in and it fetches the temperature down and I'm not able to set the timer until it gets back up to temperature... is it 150 seconds from putting it in or 150 seconds from when it gets to 400°? Xx
Soaking mug in paper towels drenched with Acetone and wrapped in tin foil works. I did 3 already. Just keep repeating steps if needed for stubborn stains. I then re-wiped mug with alcohol and was able to use it again. 1 mug I soaked once and it was good, but my 3rd mug has been soaking for about 2 days and is finally complete. Not sure the process is worth it, but I’m just starting out and was trying to save money. Hope this helps someone. ❤
Definitely don't use a regular oven, the sublimation ink is a gas and will ruin the oven if you cook in it. Some people use convection ovens but once you get it, only use it for sublimation 😊

What website did you use to make the design ?
I made my first sublimated coffee mug lastnight for a gift and cannot wait to make another!!
Thank you soo much... Can I use normal oven for this?
Love the designs you chose! The small business owner one is my fav. :)

Wow this is great information! Thank you so much for the tips.
How can removing the mug before the press cools down cause the element to burn out? I have never done that and nobody I know who makes mugs does it.
@@elianaisraelnc7904 I don't think she means the mug you are sublimating.... I think just an extra mug that is used just for warm up and cool down.
great videos helping me out big time. One question!!! How long does the desgn last do you think without fading? thank you

It's supposed to be facing you.

I'd just put one on each side
Thank you for this..

But yes using a heavy scrubber, will take off the special sublimation coating!
Hello Sallie, I am so new to sublimation hhhh and I just got my material to have a try but know nothing about this. I am keen to learn this I like to know how to sublimate mugs. So thank you for the tutorial. Time to learn.
Nice! I'm everything sublimation. Been doing it for 5 year's now. You're going to expand into other product's, just watch lol. ♡
This is absolutely stunning, the vibrant colors, the images!
Could you do a video on how you did the butterfly image?
am just starting the actual printing process am ok with what programme do you use to get the design on the paper ? hoping to do t shirts etc as well
Thank you so much for the video. I am planning to buy a sublimation machine. I am concerned about how friendly is it with dish washer?
Sallie. You are a gem!!! Your videos are superb and so easy to learn from. Thanks so much for making this all understand me and fun. Love the calmness of your voice. You rock 👍🏼thank you
Love the mugs. I also have my spray paints in the over the door shoe organizer.
Loved it! I would like to see how would you pack the mugs. 🧐😉
How do you know how to size it? And what pressure do you use?
Thank you for doing this video. I have the exact same heat press and I have been hesitant on doing mugs. I bought the cricut mugs to practice just because it was convenient to buy them at the store. I am definitely going to try pressing a mug this weekend.
do use a sublimation printer or a converted printer? Also, that butterfly is absolutely gorgeous. Can I ask where we can find it?
She use a converted printer. Epson- 15000
Epson 1500 don't have to be converted, it is a sublimation printer

Epson SC-F100 is perfect

Hi there this video is awesome. Question, what printer are you using and sublimation paper?
Do you print using a normal printer?

Interested in the answer to this question too.
I have the exact question! Thanks for asking!
Will any coffee mug work or does it have to be a sublimational coffee mug?
can any normal printer be used to print image on paper for Sublimation ?

What program do you use with your computer to get the pictures?
I love them they came out so nice

What sort of paper was used to print the design, is it sublimation paper?
when you print your designs from the computer do you need to print your designs on proper photo paper, Thank you
They look so good! Will the printer settings you reference work for other Epson ET’s? I have the 8550
