2:29 ND Cube is made up of former Hudson Soft devs specifically the individuals behind the Mario Party series. I don't know what went into the decision making behind these titles but it wasn't from a complete new team of people that took this series in this way. Also I swear hardly anybody played or knew of Star Rush because when Super Mario Party came out, nobody mentioned the Star Rush formula is obviously the foundation of that half-assed attempt at roping in fans of the classic system.

The car I kind of get from some perspectives. (I liked the car.) But why the bosses? Those added something new.
