I understand from an expressive arts course introducing us to "bilateral stimulation" of the brain which occurs when arms are moved in circular fashion why I have so many insightful thoughts regarding my psychic life while swimming!
OK Lisa, I'll test your hypothesis! I want to remember my dreams, but am not very successful. However, I will write down any impression that presents in the morning. Now I'll get more proactive, set my intention at bed, maybe even draw an "invitation" to my unconscious to pay a visit. AND, when I wake up, I'll just start writing, and have faith!
Such honesty about creating anything. We gather up things we know. Its gathering up the crumbs and bringing fragments together and weaving them together into a new and often times beautiful new form. From chaos to new forms.
Thank you so much for this episode. It may sound silly, but every time I have to write an essay as a Film Studies student I feel like I’m doing something incredibly meaningful for myself. Somehow through analysing films I end up analysing myself. Writing is such a wonderful form of expression.
Motherhood never dies. We are always some kinds of mother. Mostly we nurture others with a natures. Even when our own children mature we then turn our faces to other connections.
Such a great episode, I love how the three of you have this mutual respect where you never cut each other off, it's something that is very refreshing to listen to and has much to be learned from!
Amazing guys! Just a quick suggestion, perhaps you can include in the description box the main references that were meantioned. Such as "the art of the letter" etc. Sometimes it's difficult to go back throughout the conversation and find the references and look them up etc would just make things easier.... Anyway thanks!
In Spain thrash cans (and bags) are color coded. Yellow bags are used to place plastic containers, bottles, and cans that can be recycled. If it were my dream I'd wonder if I'm asked to recycle something or if I'm ingesting plastic without knowing it.
Fishing For Words What is it that wants to be known? That lives in subterranean waters, seeking the net that captures letters and resurrects them to the surface, like exotic fish to be displayed in the marketplace of mind needing to create meaning. What is this endeavor to dance with an alphabet only to stumble and trip in awkward steps of inadequacy? This longing to discover some fresh articulated life, that now is a maze of the undefined gestating in vulnerable territory waiting to birth an unknown mystery. Perhaps with the alchemy of devotion, and surrender to that which serves, some light will emerge from words, which of course can only hint of the wondrous.
Thank you for the explicit notation that psychological growth is not contingent upon having children!
Thank you. Enjoyed this very much.

I had such a good laugh at the Mrs Ellison story, you crack me up, Joseph!
Joseph's description of digestion rings my bells in a major way! Food -- REAL FOOD -- is a major priority in my daily life! It's what becomes me!
Really enjoying this episode. Grateful

(!) I enjoyed every sentence. Thank you.
Fishing For Words
What is it that wants to be known?
That lives in subterranean waters,
seeking the net that captures letters and
resurrects them to the surface,
like exotic fish to be displayed
in the marketplace of mind
needing to create meaning.
What is this endeavor
to dance with an alphabet
only to stumble and trip
in awkward steps of inadequacy?
This longing to discover
some fresh articulated life,
that now is a maze of the undefined
gestating in vulnerable territory
waiting to birth an unknown mystery.
Perhaps with the alchemy of devotion,
and surrender to that which serves,
some light will emerge from words,
which of course can only hint
of the wondrous.
Very powerful! I wrote, when I re-posted this..."Shows why Jungian psychology really IS DEPTH psychology! Thank you!
But Huck Finn is so wonderful. Time to give it a try.
