The shills are out for this game hard, but I appreciate this video. The game is just a hollow shell. I seriously doubt we'll see matchmaking added, despite the devs saying they are looking into it. I don't see it happening, because I doubt anyone will be interested in this watered down former co-op action rpg. A lot of people saying AS is doing the best they can, but the truth is they didn't have to fight to get the rights back so hard if this was all they were going to do with it. At least one dev was caught bragging that they had "at least 3 years worth" of money to continue developing the game, and they were committed to doing so. All smoke and mirrors, and they deserved to get called out for it. They're extremely lucky this game wasn't more popular or they'd have an entire mob breathing down their necks.
I mean, I understand why people are upset. But at the same time, the alternative was just closing down the servers. Take the money and run. They didn't do that. Call me a shill if you want. I am a fan of AS previous games. But I didn't even buy mmo wayfinder. I played one of the betas and the lag was unbearable. But I just bought echoes. The core gameplay was fun. Idgaf about matchmaking. I dont play games with randos anyways. Either solo or with da boys. This relaunch is perfect for me. I get why it's not perfect for some. But again, the alternative was to just shut down the servers and move on. Gotta give props that they put effort into a re-release that, let's be honest, probably won't make them any money. Most people won't even give it another shot due to the terrible launch.
I understand why people were upset, but the "mmo" aspects of the game was always lacking and it wouldn't of lasted (imo) even if it was riding on the coat tail of warframe. now would be the best time to rebrand the game instead of letting the game get shut down in a year. matchmaking probably wont be added, (not like there was anyone to matchmake with lol) but they probably can add the server list/lobby list function that they're working on. my only gripe currently is that there isnt more unique weapons to get and the skill tree doesnt really change much on how you play a character I wish it changed your skills or character archetype more.
I think many of you forget how real life works, getting a product out, forging your game, having your publisher bail out, and all that. Plus, I think you didn't get what an EA game is. If maybe you stopped buying any game releasing in EA, industry wouldn't pull smelly moves and shady practices in the first place. Oh and : "MMO". Yeah right. It was never a MMO to begin with. It had the MMO tag, and matchmaking is absolutely a must for this game to justify it's existence for a lot of people at this point. The devs have said they're working on it, so we'll see.
Same just bought it because of offline solo play. Co op is a bonus. One of the reasons I liked FF12 over FF11. Gambit system took care of party issues.
@@zerobe49 Absolutely worth it. I've paid more than double for way less content. The recent performance patch took away the one issue I had with the game. I'm running on an old rig. Ancient CPU paired with a 1080 TI and I was around 40 FPS in the open world. It's nearly a locked 60 now with just the patch.
i played this from the start and stuff had weps and wayfinders maxed took a lot of my time i was close too 450 hours. At first i was like i really dont want to do this again bc of the time it took, but i gave it a shot and it was way better then before on the gearing lvling up the charaters and seem more fun then normal and now we dont have a pay wall that shows cosmetics now u can ear them and are amor sets. 150 hours is rookie numbers xD if u like the game like u state it give it a shot and youll find out. I did and it turn out great and im non stop helping people in this game also on stuff they want bc i already got everything i can get for now till the next big update.
They should lean into the single player/ co op nature of the game, lean into the story a bit more, the animated traielrs were dope, and more dynamic open world and exploration and I think this game would do amazing. The combat needs a bit more imo, more movement, more weapon types, and maybe more complex character kits and i think it would be great
I agree the game IS better however, after buying the exalted pack before August release, I cannot justify spending $150 on a $25 game. I enjoy the combat loop, the world is pretty nice and the art style is niche as well. However, I was really looking forward to a fantasy Warframe. I loved Warframe years ago with over 1000+ hours, I wanted this to be the next Warframe for me. I do enjoy echoes, I’m looking forward to matchmaking but it feels like I’ve been playing it because I spent the money on it. I understand it was either this or the game shut down, I just wish there was more compensation as a founder of the highest tier.

I looked forward to the endeavor of Wayfinder and spent $150 on launch to further development of the game. I played all of the betas before the EA release. My only gripe is that I am getting a single-player game because I was looking forward to the MMO aspect. This notion of not knowing if they’re going to keep supporting the game or not though is what’s really getting to me. I wanted and waited for Wayfinder to succeed, it hurts not seeing it so atm but I’m hopeful Echoes can turn things around. I loved Warframe due to the grinding aspect. If Wayfinder can continue to be developed then I’m chilling. They’ve taliked about free dlc for exalted founders, I believe that’s good compensation but it all hinges on IF the game succeeds, that’s the part I don’t like.

I've been playing the echoes update since the founders got early access to it and while yeah, on one hand it's sad this is isn't an MMO anymore and you can tell that it has been repurposed from an MMO to a single player / coop game, here's the one thing almost no one tells you: running dungeons with randoms SUCKED. Whenever you ran an open lobby, people would just rush straight to the end, ignoring pretty much all of the puzzle rooms, hidden chest and any other sort of loot and forced you to catch up. Ever tried doing bosses with randoms? They will stand in every AoE, die and then quit immediately, leaving you to fight a boss alone that has been tuned for 3 players. It took me just one day to turn off open lobbies. So the only thring you truly are missing out on is seeing other players running around in skylight and that's really it. You can still play with friends, which probably was the best way to play this game anyways.
Please give this game a try guys and gals ! It will be worth it ! This devs have heart ! Help them overcome Digitales Extreme and the MMO past ! It will rise better than before !

The video is not a clickbait and i've heard what i wanted to hear, it is not like these mega hate video we see on youtube and actually its kinda respectful for the opposite opinions and is pretty argumented. Also you even advised to buy the game for people who dont mind playing solo/coop with friends without matchmaking while still voicing your concerns and both positive and negative sides. And you showed an actual live gameplay instead of just staying still in the city like many people do druing such videos. Weird

Like it was a MMO to begin with. It's as much a MMO as GW1 was. So they allow you to coop with friends and then build lobbies with random, it wouldn't be that big of a change from the initial game.
No because the game was gonna me a MMO lite, but they were screwed over by their publishing company that was the one providing the fundings and infraestructure for this game to be able to function as an MMO, without both of those things, this game was doomed. It was either shutdown or reworking the game. And Founders can complain about feeling scammed and such, but that's the dangers of buying into Early Access... steam even warns that Early Access products may never be finished. At least they got an actual product they can still play.
The game was in early access. Anything can change while the game is literally still being made. Or it can even get cancelled entirely. Does it suck for those who already bought the game? Sure, I guess. But it isn't "false advertising". Maybe one day people will learn not to put down money on a game that hasn't had an official release yet (impossible).
people need to stop calling games like destiny, warframe MMO's. they are not... they are a shared space co-op games. Wayfinders echoes from someone who hasnt played it looks no different to when people were calling it an MMO ( its not an MMO ). it may play different!!! are you really bothered about not seeing another player. maybe running about? If they add Matchmaking i think it would breathe more life into the game.. and will be pratically the same before echoes....even Borderlands have this feature. From a bugged mmolite full of shieet to a bad single player game. Open area with nothing to explore, dungeons can be kinda ok, combat is fun. But it is not a good single player experience when you compare it with other action rpg single player games it would be a disaster if it launched as it is.
MMOs as a genre are dying, the only goods left are the ones that kept their flames from 10 ish years ago, no new mmo will survive (and be good) for more than a couple years nowadays

WOW has massive continents worth of content but like 90% is completely pointless since everyone finds the 10% of stuff thats worth doing and nobody does anything else. No company will risk a massive MMO unless they have the budget.

the answer is no. you shouldnt play this game. played the early access while it was still an mmo. i bought the game, spent $50 on it,i have 258 hours in this game, finished the reward tower, and have the spider pet. they deleted all my stuff and wont give me a refund. avoid this developer at all costs.
Why a refund? you Spend 50 bucks and played 258 Hours and had fun (hopefully). Now it is a solo/coop game. The alternative would have been that they shut down and you could never play it again

As someone who plays MMOs exclusively solo, I strongly prefer the game this way.

The gameplay is solid great mechanics and the story is decent. Most of the time you are in dungeons.

The game was in early access. Anything can change while the game is literally still being made. Or it can even get cancelled entirely. Does it suck for those who already bought the game? Sure, I guess. But it isn't "false advertising". Maybe one day people will learn not to put down money on a game that hasn't had an official release yet (impossible).
people need to stop calling games like destiny, warframe MMO's. they are not... they are a shared space co-op games.
Wayfinders echoes from someone who hasnt played it looks no different to when people were calling it an MMO ( its not an MMO ). it may play different!!! are you really bothered about not seeing another player. maybe running about?
If they add Matchmaking i think it would breathe more life into the game.. and will be pratically the same before echoes....even Borderlands have this feature.

Well they cant just give you all your online save when they are literally making it single player game where the saves are in your pc not on the server its childish to whine about it after understanding it.

From a bugged mmolite full of shieet to a bad single player game. Open area with nothing to explore, dungeons can be kinda ok, combat is fun. But it is not a good single player experience when you compare it with other action rpg single player games it would be a disaster if it launched as it is.

MMOs as a genre are dying, the only goods left are the ones that kept their flames from 10 ish years ago, no new mmo will survive (and be good) for more than a couple years nowadays
@@SunYakasabi Fully agreed. MMOs sadly can't offer anything in the age of information. WOW has massive continents worth of content but like 90% is completely pointless since everyone finds the 10% of stuff thats worth doing and nobody does anything else. No company will risk a massive MMO unless they have the budget.

Thing is, at the moment, I wouldn't spend 22 euros for how the game is currently. I would definitely give it more time to see where it ends up before making the decision of buying it. the answer is no. you shouldnt play this game. played the early access while it was still an mmo. i bought the game, spent $50 on it,i have 258 hours in this game, finished the reward tower, and have the spider pet. they deleted all my stuff and wont give me a refund. avoid this developer at all costs.

Why a refund? you Spend 50 bucks and played 258 Hours and had fun (hopefully). Now it is a solo/coop game. The alternative would have been that they shut down and you could never play it again
