- I said I would give Wayfinder a try once they made it singleplayer, and I'm glad I did. While its still a little rough around the edges, and needs some more work done to it; as it stands right now its a very solid RPG. Campaign is meaty, ~25hrs, Grind isn't too bad for equipment and upgrades (much better than the MMO version), and all the cosmetics and skins and such are all available in-game. for $25 you really can't go wrong here

I rendered this on my laptop which did not like me putting 2 different sizes with varying framerate and resolution, so SOME clips look far worse then they really are. Sorry. but it doesnt play THAT bad lol
Honestly online co-op is better than an mmo
If you haven't checked it out already, I bet you'd be mildly interested in Granblue Fantasy Relink, it's quite polished, the campaign is like 10 hrs, but then becomes a monster hunter mission format endgame loop.

Just picked this up after hearing about the whole switch to SP. Psyched to try it when I get home from work. Love the art style and the gameplay looks pretty solid. It will give me a break from smashing my head against fog doors for a bit.
The bonuses given by those gems need to be more conditional, something like "on hit/on being hit/on kill/on deflect/ on crit". Also the weapons' movesets are weird in that i don't see much of a reason to "mix up" your heavy/light attacks. Each weapon *needs* its own combo moves that trigger after a combination of light and heavy hits.
Abilities are fun at first but they remain too static throughout the game, only stat increase as you said.
0:20 How do you unlock third potion slot? I made it to Frostmarch with the story progression and I still only have the default 2 potion slots.
Good review on this. I am 40 hours in campaign done few other characters in late 20s different builds depending on what I want to play etc. As no one knows the direction of this game or content or this could just be it here you go. If they were to help the game even more then here is a few of my things. Mob level needs to autoscale. going back to the first zone to do a side mission or event etc and getting low level loot meh ok can sell or dismantle but no xp value if you are leveling another character. Difficulty doesn't matter currently you get no more loot being on story or the hardest. Not that you need more loot or stat chasing in this game as it doesn't do much. Weapons unlocking on vendor at 10-20-30 of character progression ehh ok works for keeping out clutter I guess.
In the end it is a jump in have a good time for a bit and overall fun game.
I'm really pleased with this. The main story quest is interesting, the world itself and the mysteries of it are interesting. The characters and the the way you can customize them is just sick in the best way. If it has matchmaking at some point it'll solve its problem.
Love the game and for me it is the perfect mix of Borderlands/Diablo/Destiny and Genshin/wuthering waves but as a true Offline game that you can enjoy in Coop if you want.
I really like the gameplay loop and i have around 25 Hours now and will finish the story today with lvl 30 Wingrave and workling on awakening him and the weapons. Also there will be a new Area and a new Wayfinder in the next Updates so if you like you can play another 20-40 Hours per Wayfinder to max them out.
I wish i had friends to play this with :(

There's talk of coming up with a matchmaking function but in the short term you can try looking for people to quest with on the discord?

Does it actually have co-op? You talked about a lot of single player but I didn't see co-op.
has co-op invite from list but they are adding matching making later on

If only each character could use all weapon types but had a specific weapon they excel at, gaining special skills, so that each character plays different with different weapons. And if only the character progression was dialed down to make the RPG part feel better.
This game put such a sour taste in my mouth 300 hours just wiped and can’t even get a refund I wanted it to do good but just felt like a scam

Is this even out on consoles? Seen loads of previews and no actually release date or info makes it appear suspicious as fuck.
Devs are on the talks with Playstation to transfer the publishing rights to them, but it's being a slow process thanks to Playstation strict policies and such... but they did say that they'll release it by the end of summer

Nobody foresaw the way this was gonna play out man, the game looked promising.... I'm glad the game didn't just die out like most games since you invested so much into the IP.
