Just wanted to say thank you for all your guides. I've painted for decades and do commission work, but I regularly come back to your guides as a touchstone. Particularly if I've got a challenging project, I'm not sure how, but your guides often change a challenging or gruelling project into a fun and enjoyable one.
Thank you very much for your tutorial!!! I specially loved the way you painted the armor so I used it on my angron and I am very pleased with the result!
Angry Ron !!!!!!!!! 😂 I absolutely love the model and will buy it soon to paint as you did. Thank you for ur skillset . Thank you for ur technique. Thank you for building the model first then painting it . Keep up the most awesome work!
Great tutorial! Thanks for being so thorough and for listing out what paints you use. It really helps and allows me to get my mini’s on the table quickly
This tutorial is definitely gonna guide me when I paint mine. I unfortunately fully built mine armor and all before painting but I’ll try my best to replicate this!
You could do that with the Bloodthirster model too, and the Eightbound with a bit of conversion work. Turns out Khorne doesn't just want skulls, he also wants beach bods.
Great lesson as always! TYVM for all your hard work in sharing your tutorials in order to make painting easier and more entertaining to get through our pile of shame as a faster rate xD Also, a Primarch of Khorne with no Khorne Red paint on it???? :P
I’m curious if you could do a similar effect on the sword with the same frostheart contrast paint you use on the plasma guns in your other WE tutorial, or if that would look out of place?
You could - would give a totally different effect that would really contrast with the rest of the model so could work! Contrast is so thin if you don't like it, you can just paint over it and start again :)
Love how you made the armour look like it had been worn for 10k years! Another fantastic tutorial, will you be doing one for the regular bezerkers or eight-bound?
ok i just followed this guide to paint my Angron and let me say it really is a good guide. My only complaint is that you skipped over several things. one second the tongue { for example } was unpainted and the next thing it was an you never covered the paints used in it. This isn't me complaining just pointing out a few issues to be avoided.
Glad you enjoyed the guide and you got a great result - and thank you for the feedback! The tongue was screamer pink and a pink horror highlight I think!
@@ThePaintingCoach yea I tried priming a bezerker just mephiston red and was pretty underwhelmed with how it looked so I was wondering, thanks for the quick reply Have you done a video on painting eightbound? Plan on following your guides for my army as they look awesome but noticed there wasn't an eightbound one
I haven't done 8 bound - not sure I will get round to them either - will have to see what the future holds 👍🏻 Most of the colour combos etc will carry over from angron and berserkers though
Did you prime with memphistom red spray then do a base coat of memphiston red again, or is it just the primer? I ask because your red looks super smooth
Question? Did you use the new or old recipe nuln oil? The old stains more but the new has a slightly more gloss finish and I just can’t tell with your paint job. Excellent video by the way.
Amazing tutorial! I’m just starting mine today after watching your tutorial several times now. Can you tell me? Would you maybe undercoat chaos black and then spray mephiston red over that? Or is the straight Mephiston a better shout? Much appreciated dude 🙏
The Dark Aluminium and Chrome are both Vallejo, and the white is Pro Acryl - the rest are citadel. The citadel equivalents of those paints will work fine however
I do enjoy watching you paint all these models, but I think it would be really good if you could turn your voice volume up quite a fair bit, and maybe also reduce the volume of the effects, I've got it really loud on my speakers so I can hear you, and then I get a jumpscare from any effects as they blow out my ear drums, I do appreciate that theyre in there though.
The Painting Coach: I know it's not copper! Brass: Is about 66% copper. The oxidation pattern is the same, my man, so it's all correct :D. The same goes for bronze, too. First, there is a black oxide that layers thin and turns the metal brownish in appearence, which later degrades further into a turquoise mineral.
@@ThePaintingCoach got it, thanks. Do you prime the parts on the spruce or after it’s assembled? Also, would you recommend citadel spray cans for priming?
Painting Coach: Would Mister Angron care for an after dinner mint? Angron: NO, I'M STUFFED! Painting Coach: But sir, it is only WAFUR THIN! Great video (especially liked the Monty Python reference too, seldom seen nowadays), I liked your approach to using dry brushing over wet blending for transitions of colours, very effective :-)
I try to use citadel paints as much as I can as these are the most available - where I don't use citadel I always try to provide the citadel equivalent
I dont understand how you keep such a small amount of paint on your brush without it drying after 2 seconds, or how you avoid the brush from splitting etc... That is the number 1 problem stopping me from getting better at painting details, highlights, small scars etc
It helps to have a brush with a decent belly - that will hold paint and also make sure it is thinned a little. I paint fairly fast which also helps, although I guess that is an experience thing. I also use a wet palette which helps keep moisture in the paint
This was a great tutorial thank you. My Angron is still in his box unassembled but I will look to this guide when he is ready to paint.
Cheers
Easily the best video and best looking angron out there on TH-cam
Thanks!

Incredible! Got my Angron just in time for your tutorial!
Glad you liked it Gordon!
This is absolutely stellar. Now I only need to wait 6 months for the actual model. Cannot wait to paint this though.
Thanks! Hopefully it won't be too long for you!
6 months wtf? Why so long
@@jakewhite4192 He is in high demand and GW has a warehouse issue.
I'm personally wondering how long it takes for somebody to choose to leave Angron with no armor on and just rock the raw demon body
It would be a decent look - although you would still need the arm guards on I think due to the moulding

Absolutely loving the tutorials. Fantastic job!😊👍🏽👌

This is fantastic. I really want to get this model and follow your tutorial but I’m intimidated by the 35+ different paints that I’ll need.

Hope it helps!
I just got into painting miniatures. But where would I be able to find and purchase large scale (6 inch) models to paint?
You'd be looking at people like Kimera/pegaso, Black Crow etc - maybe even 3D printing - also will depend where in the world you are

What red spray did you use for Angron and the berserker?
Mephiston Red from Citadel
Did you prime angron black then red over or just mephiston red with nothing underneath?
I can't remember 🤦🏼♂️ I think it was red over black - I find you get a nicer colour that isn't as flat that way

Washed woth agrax earthshade then dry brushed with dawnstone, administratum grey and then white

For those of us that watch your awesome painting videos late at night tired, I gotta say it's pretty jarring to throw in random loud dinging noises.
